Yeah, I was smitten by him right away when I saw him in Maiden Holmes. For some reason I didn't finish the drama (forgot why), but I was so surprised when I found out it was his FIRST drama! His presence on screen is so HUGE in the drama (really main ML material) that I'm just at awe. He's so charming! I really thought he had done at least several other dramas and other smaller roles prior to that one. So yes, I'll definitely see you in that comment section HAHAHAHAHAHAHHH...
Actually from the very first rejection 🤣🤣🤣 it was quite clear that she was not saying the reasons to…
I love seeing that scene of her hiding behind the pillar ha ha ha...I was like, "See if your logic is still winning the battle against your heart, LYA!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...
That said, I feel like LYA's love cells are like a dark, abandoned house filled with cobwebs (been too long since she had her last serious relationship, which ended badly). It's hard for her to see things clearly because of the darkness of her haunted past as well as her own mother and best friend's ugly experiences in marriage (also her boss' affair). It will take time for her to get rid of the cobwebs and clean up the place in order to let the light shine in (so that she can also welcome love inside again).
I know her Mom went through a rough patch but I don't like how she lets that negativity rub off on her daughter…
Funnily enough, I actually think it's refreshing to have a mother character that doesn't try to set their kids up in blind dates or with someone that she thinks is good enough for their kids or mothers who keep guilt-tripping their kids with "When are you going to give me grandkids? You're already this old and time is ticking". Not saying I like her POV, though, but the minute her character appeared on screen, I was like, "Eh? This is interesting" he he he...

Same! I LOVE ZLH in the role, too (he's such a fine specimen of a young actor) he he he...that's why I'm looking forward to Kunning Palace (let him get the girl!). In the heavenly realm, it feels like he's being put in a straitjacket despite his high rank. Yep, agree with you regarding Jieli and what Yetan could have been if the writing went on a different course.

Same, I also find Jieli's character to be grating (even when I know her background to be pitiful, but it's really hard to sympathize with her and I can't even summon any empathy). Agree with you regarding Changheng and Danyin as well as Rong Hao and his shifu. I actually enjoyed the brotherhood between Changheng and Danyin in the mortal world. Changheng is able to be more expressive and free there.
Hmm... sad to say but I was kinda disappointed with the last two episodes regarding the romance part 😅 I got…
I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that drunk LYA scene whispering in SSC's ear. The tensionnnn OMG!!!!!!!! It'll probably stay as one of my fave scenes of this drama, esp. because they had such a fun time in the taxi ride (lots of funny moments, too) as well as the hallway scene.
I also kinda hoped a little bit that LYA tried more to patch things up. I was expecting more from her when she came over to the alleyway where SSC lived, but I wasn't disappointed (dunno why). Let's see what the next episodes are going to be like.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH...high five!!!!! Yeah, dunno how I would have rated LBFAD if I had seen it first, but for me personally, I can't get myself to like the 2nd CP in LBFAD (feels like skipping over them and I did ffwd their scenes) and I don't really feel too much for the master-student couple either, whereas in TSL there are SO many loveable CPs and non-CP side characters that I love whenever they reappear on screen because of their chemistry, the pacing + plot + writing (no skipping or ffwd-ing). TSL sets the bar SO high ha ha...

SAME!!!! I'm also glad he got to show his true age (obviously she was his first). And yep, I've felt the same way for SO many of their lighthearted moments (like the one on the bridge). One of the strengths of this drama is how natural it feels for the two leads. It made me forget sometimes that they're acting and this is just a drama. But I guess that's also because off screen, that's how they've been interacting. I've seen some of their interview clips (though most of them aren't fully subbed). He joked with her a lot and then she started laughing and then they laughed together etc. etc. etc.

Understandable why SSC reacted way more strongly this time. The first time around he was fully rejected, but he thought this time he was already in her inner circle (esp. after FL also accepted his two gifts). To be hurt like that the morning after must've been SOOOOOO painful. I can understand his moping around and sulking like that. I remember my first relationship wasn't that serious, but I was still in so much pain after I broke up with him.
Yep, Liang Tao is growing on me, too. Despite everything, she does try so hard to be independent, esp. with a mom like that (who claimed she wanted to keep her money for her sake, but who knows?). I felt for Liang Tao when she said to Jiao Jiao that she had 80% bad days and 20% okay days. Ugh...
I think so too if he's not 2 years older or 2 years younger than Lei Lei
For some reason I didn't get any notification of your comment here (so sorry if I missed any comments). Good thing there hadn't been too many comments above, so I could scroll down pretty easily.
1. QK vs. Wudai! Sis did not need any help from CF. She overpowered on her own! Tell me all your thoughts. Is…
1. Actually that scene made me love Qingkui even more precisely because she could use her own skills to defeat Wudai. Wudai started cracking me up in this ep, but the moment that made me love Wudai was when he first whispered "I like you" a few times and then went straight up bawling in front of everybody after the failed confession he he he he he he he...
3. YES, CF deserved it fully. After all the things he "accidentally" did to hurt Wudai, it was still such a mild punishment, but again CF + Haichao duo made the green punishment all the funnier. I REALLY love these two he he he...

- Giddy as a teenager: remembering how I got a cheap necklace from my then LDR boyfriend-now husband (which I used to wear all the time until the necklace changed colour). SSC again delivered so many powerful punches with his lines...but I also love the fact that he said, "I'm not that mature", showing how gutted one can be when being rejected (again) after such a sweet night together.
- Pumping my fist in the air when they played football against the other team. It was again made so brilliantly that I was sitting at the edge of my seat the whole time. The way Chen Zhe got hit on the face many times...I was wincing, but also cheering for him!
- Squealing with delight: at how they kissed and spent that sweet night HEHEHEHEHEHEHHH...
- Shaking my head in disbelief: at Jiao Jiao's dad unbelievable blindness towards his wife's misery. I'm SO glad Jiao Jiao came home to talk some sense to his dad. I hope the next ep shows the parents' divorce. Fly free, Jiao Jiao's mom!
- It's understandable how the logical (and fearful) part of FL made her try to talk about relationship with her mom, considering she knew that her mom would be more prone to give speeches about staying single. However, I'm glad that FL's bestie also tries to talk to her about the alternative: that not all relationships turn so sour/ugly and that even if something bad happens to the relationship, she won't break down (she'll be OK in the end). It's clearer now that FL is already halfway there, because during the convo with her mom, she tried to tell her about how having a partner can also make the both of them become better.
P.S. Also loving it when Liang Tao told her mom to STOP playing the victim card.
