I read the webtoon before so i'm not disappointed or mad at what happened to a lot of characters but WOW ! i really was yelling at my screen (in a fun way) . this is a great first part of this adaptation !
I finally finished this show after years of having it on hold... I agree that the relationship between the leads…
Euntak's sacrifice was probably one of the most moving moments of the show. Despite all the hardships she's encountered in order to finally be happy, she threw it away in seconds in order to save people.
It might be crazy but I think I would've been satisfied if the show ended there.
The realization coming to the Grim Reaper's face- and them meeting after it all happened. There was nothing he could do- and she told him honestly that she was scared but it was something that had to happen. How heartbreaking.
Even more so, it was the end of everything we were comfortable with. Never again would we have Euntak, Goblin, Deokhwa, or the Grim Reaper together laughing like we grew so accustomed to. I think this truly showed the curse of immortality.
Even if everyone gets reincarnated and they find happiness together- you can't bring back what you once had. This familiarity, the personalities of the people you love in the moment- won't be the same in their next life.
That's why although the 'happy' ending- it is still tragic.
I finally finished this show after years of having it on hold... I agree that the relationship between the leads was kinda weird - at least with the age thing. Truly there wasn't really any reason that she had to be a highschool student (despite the bankbook conflict and the ghost friend from school), but maybe there could've been ways to change up those plot lines.
Either way, I think my favorite aspect of this show is how they played around with ideas of fate and reincarnation. It's just jaw dropping to see the relationships uncover themselves and how those relationships are worth more than one lifetime.
They dynamics between all of the characters is just wonderful- I really could just watch an hour of them hanging out haha .
I have another thing to say but it's a spoiler so it'll be in the reply to this post.
I think one of my favorite moments from the last episode was the realization that the coworker of A-chin caused the pilot to lose his shift just by coincidence. We spent so much time being anxious with A-chin and Maririn because for us, there was no other way to get to our goal. It was, convince him to switch shifts or ... poison him (hah). As dramatic as that sounds, both of them have spent decades working towards this moment.
I almost felt like dancing like A-chin. I feel like it's a perfect conclusion to the greatest conflict of this show.
Life is unpredictable. Things happen and sometimes you can stress so hard over something, and you can't think of any other solution. But just when you've given up hope, you find your saving grace. Maybe it was the butterfly effect that A-chin and Maririn were talking about- that if A-chin never ran into her old coworker then she would've never decided to change careers.
Either way, as unbelievable and ridiculous their solution was - it was equally wonderful and something to get up and dance about !
Does anybody know an official streaming side which offers this drama?
honestly your best bet would be a not-official streaming site . the lead actress was involved in a scandal and pretty much all of the dramas she's been in have been taken down ..
as insane as a suggestion mari had during episode 9 - i can understand the desperation they'd be feeling . an accumulation of over 120 years of life and you finally have a clear cut goal , just for it to be taken away right at the last moment .
even i feel like i'd want to do anything to get what i wanted
i think a lot of the comedy lies with rembrary always winning no matter how insane he looks/acts. like everybody looks at him and is like "bro you need to act normal in order to succeed" but without fail- his weird behaviors always ends up charming people
maybe it has something to do with his holy aura or whatever but it never fails to be funny to me to see everyone around him stress out about how he's acting , only for them to be proven wrong by the end of the day
the latest example being the dating show he went on .
feel like i'm experiencing a whole different drama here than everyone bc i love it so much and it might become…
yeah it's really annoying seeing all the hate in the comments here when this is such a fun show ! i've never read the original webtoon so maybe that's why but i think people should be able to separate the two because from my experience with the show so far - i think both must be great on their own ,,
this is the type of show you just have fun with , it leans so far into the fantasy aspect and i just love it that way
it's so fucked up what the devil did to Dal . I know he's the evil guy and is going to do all the evil things .. but she's really been working on her emotions and getting better after what happened to the girl from the last group she managed .. seriously , Dal even has a go to therapist ..
like it's just heartbreaking to see him put those thoughts in her head when k-wording herself is probably the last thing she'd do because she's so afraid of anyone else doing that .
It's really tragic how Asami had to go through all of that grief - just to have the choice to become a human again. And even if she'd never remember or realize she left that life all behind if she walked through that door. I think it was such a great decision for Asami to redo her life for the last time. And not for any selfish reasons of obtaining good-deed points or becoming famous or whatever. Just to make it the best life she could have.
It shows in the preview that she doesn't really become friends with Nacchi or Mipon, but becomes friends with Mari and then becomes a pilot as well. It seems like both of them really just want to try their best to save their friends but also just everyone else on that plane.
It's crazy to me how each episode is even better than the last. In the end though, I really just want happiness for everyone. They deserved it at the beginning, but they very much deserve it now.
Side note- it's also cool that Asami was able to try out so many jobs.
Wow ! I liked this season even better than the first. I felt like the first season was a great introduction to the world and the second season was able to really tell a story without needing a bunch of introduction. Like we were able to dive deep into some stories of the missing people and the main crew had a lot of great moments together.
Not that I didn't appreciate the first season and the characters there (If there's a third season, then I hope Thomas would appear again)- but I really felt like this season did a great job leading up to something even bigger.
And most of the time, I would be annoyed at an open ending. But honestly, I think it was really well done and it just made me like this season even more.
I saw so much praise for this movie and decided to watch it without reading the synopsis or anything. I have to say that this movie was probably not the genre for me. I can totally understand why so many people like it, the acting, cinematography, and the writing was all great. But personally, I just can't get behind and feel any good emotions towards people who are cheating on their spouses (even if there was no love to begin with). It just feels weird and douchey. That just made me feel annoyed throughout the whole movie.
So, because of all of that .. I can say that I was pleased with the ending. It seemed fitting and honestly I was tired of her manipulating Hae Joon anyways. Although, he wasn't that great of a person either. It would've been great for her to be arrested and put in jail for her crimes but that would've taken away the poetic ending that the writers wanted.
In Chinese , he/she is used by one word ( 他/她) which is tā . So unless Hongdou mentions something really…
Since the translator knows that Hongduo is talking about a female friend, they use the word "she/her" - but in reality, for Yao it's even more vague and he just assumes she's talking about a guy/past lover.
Episode 17: Hongdou has been very vague in revealing her loss and her best friend's death. When they are chatting…
In Chinese , he/she is used by one word ( 他/她) which is tā . So unless Hongdou mentions something really specific or directly uses the word 女(Nǚ), which means female when talking about her friend - then whatever gender he's thinking will be what she's saying.
It feels a little hard to explain but it's like how in english we can use the word "they" to describe a friend and whoever is listening to you speak could assume that you're talking about a girl or a boy. Unless, they have any other clues about the gender of the friend you're talking about.
So, for Yao, since Hongdou keeps describing the person without specific gender words - and she said that the person was "my love of life". He's just gonna assume the "tā" Hongdou uses is referring to a male.
The screenwriter wrote for Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People and The King's Daughter, Soo Baek Hyang - both amazing historical dramas. I'm looking forward to this !
it seems like you are just saying the same things on the most recent comments on this page
