I feel like Neflix should've had the english title include the word "Esquire" like it does in korean cause i found myself wondering why they'd show that word often 😭
Another FL who doesn’t appreciate someone who likes her completely the way she is. But rather, she’s chasing…
I understand the frustration but she also doesn't owe anyone her affection just because they like her. She loves Jiho as a friend and has already expressed to him that she thinks of him as nothing more. Nobody should expect anything else from her about that.
dk’s ost did not help with the romantic vibes going on with yiyoung and mr anesthesiologist like i was wondering why i was feeling it extra and then i recognized his voice 😭😭
I watched 7 eps.At first ,when I watched the childhood scenes , I really rooted for main couple .I thought Minato…
Even if FL loved Minato, her past relationship with the ML ended on such an abrupt note and without any closure that her past feelings for the ML never ended. They were sort of just silently there, waiting to be activated again.
It's like if your best friend suddenly stopped talking to you and disappeared from your life for five years. You wouldn't have any negative feelings for them, but you would constantly think about them and hope they are alright and if you guys could ever become friends again. It's like that but obviously the romantic love they felt for each other never really went away.
Minato pursued the FL and went into a relationship with her knowing that she has these unresolved feelings for the ML (also his best friend). This became a great insecurity for him. FL and Minato were very comfortable in their relationship but it seems like there was never any true passion. That plus his insecurity that only grew once ML came back, lead him to come to the conclusion that as long as the ML is there, he will never truly have the FL's love. Minato broke up with the FL because he knew she would push aside her feelings for the ML to stay with Minato. Minato would rather push the FL and ML together than get half the love from the FL.
FL and Minato's relationship ended in a nice-ish way without any real hatred for each other + the fact that Minato and ML were best friends, kinda meant that it's easier for all of them to be friends despite the fact that FL has dated both ML and Minato. There might be some sort of jealousy but in general, Minato at least cares about their happiness more than his own so he'd rather his two friends be happy together.
The timeline in the show is not really clear but it seems to me that it takes a couple of months or even a year before the ML and FL finally confirm their relationship. Of course they hang out a lot and clearly like each other- but they have their own issues and they slowly overcame them. (I think you might've finished the show by now.) But that makes me think they didn't rush into a relationship so soon after Minato and the FL broke up.
Sorry this is so long, but from how I see it. The ML and FL were shown to be pretty much soulmates from the start of the show. How they like the same music and just get along so well. Minato took the opportunity to date the FL once his best friend was out the picture (which people can judge if that was a crappy move or not), but it was obvious and Minato knew that the FL was not over the ML. When the ML showed up again, Minato got cold feet despite the FL assuring him she would not leave, and he ended their relationship. In their soulmate manner, the FL did everything she could to be able to communicate with the ML again and naturally they both fell in love for the second time.
I’m honestly enjoying the show. What perplexes me every episode is the level of ageism depicted on screen. Is…
I'm not from Korea or anything but it seems to be a constant in every show that I've watched where there is ageism in jobs. Stories of 26-30+ year old women being looked down upon because they are not 22, let alone an older woman being looked at as competent. I guess it's a mix of misogyny and ageism.
Of course, I can't be sure how real to life these experiences are- but if stories that depict this struggle continue being made then I'm sure there is truth to it. Unfortunately of course, since it should be illegal to hire/discriminate on a person because of their age or gender.
We could see many times in the flashbacks that In Na's eyes became blue just before the accident. And she was…
In general I think the importance with showing that scene again is to emphasize how traumatic it would be for InNa to hear whatever her mom said. And of course we know it leads to the car crash. Those thoughts she heard from her mom lead to InNa hiding her powers and never bringing up what she heard from her mom in those last moments.
