As much as I loved Song Weilong - I really did feel like Ling Xiao was a little too much- but really that was at the fault of his mother. She just got worse as they aged .... Hopefully this version tones down the abusive behavior from his mother.
I agree that the actors will have to be casted well in order to fit the vibe of the original - unless they aren't going for the same feeling. The original Chinese cast did such a wonderful job that at least for me, I have a lot of expectations.

honestly i'm not sure if he ever did in her previous life. it seems like she really manipulated him into marrying her and he did all he could to go to muyao. though this time around, she suddenly became nice and avoided him because she knew that he was going to prioritize muyao . but this sudden push made him have interest in her .
either way, he's gone way past the point of forgiveness. i was really hoping at the start that he might forget about muyao and see how good of a person our FL is but muyao's manipulation has worked all too well and now his chances with the FL are over.
i can't wait to see him all jealous when she finally shows interest in the ML (which i'm 98% sure is ZXW).

that's how i'm feeling . i went into this show without any knowledge of the leads or anything and at this point i just want everyone to leave her alone and let her have peace and happiness. she might've been full of malice in the past, but i feel like she has totally made up for it now- people really just won't leave her alone
The killing of Kanmorue was kinda crazy but weirdly moving (in a spiritual way). We know from the first season that the appearance of Kanmorue secured the belief that Eunseom is Aramun. Even the biggest haters of Eunseom were left speechless after seeing the fact that he's the only one who could ride Kanmorue- With that knowledge, it only makes sense that Tagon would kill Kanmorue. Without that definite proof- who could truly say that Eunseom is Aramun.
But from the beginning, Helper became Kanmorue because Tanya gave it a name. Gave it a greater purpose. The first season set up this prophecy perfectly- it created a world that sucked the audience in. We believe in the prophecy, the power of Tanya, and the fact that by giving anything a name- that she can seal someone's fate.
So she named a horse and it became Kanmorue, she named Eunsome and he became Aramun, she named Tagon Aramun- which was a curse in itself. And she named the people of Arthdal, putting all of them all under her spell.
Even if Helper is truly dead- Kanmorue isn't. It was the power of Tanya and the presence of Eunseom which transformed Helper into Kanmorue. I believe that Kanmorue's spirit will live on in another horse. Though if you think of it in the sense of the prophecy- Kanmorue was really only born to be with Aramun. And since Aramun is already here- does he need to be reincarnated or has Kannorue served his purpose ....
I'm feeling overly emotional over a horse that could still be alive .. sorry guys.
Either way, I'm excited to see how things play out in these last two episodes. I'm sure this is the final season and from the way Tagon is losing his mind, it really won't take much for him to snap. I could even imagine that just the sight of other people calling Eunseom 'Aramun' could break him.
To Eunseom, Tanya, and the Ago tribe (maybe even the Momo tribe) - fighting ! ... Saya also but he needs to collect himself first.

Wonderful piece of writing ! Thank you for bringing together a lot of the main points of the drama. In the midst of the pain and agony, there is surely the strong undertone of perseverance through love. Love whether romantically or for friends and family. Which is Janghyun's motivation for a lot of the decisions he makes. And Gilchae making hard decisions for the sake of putting her family first before herself. Even this is a simplified thought compared to a very complicated reality these characters are facing ....
I'm totally not able to write as well as you, though I agree that this show has enough twists and turns where even the audience can't tell what the ending will end up being. We will just have to sit along for the ride.
I found it very moving during the sequence of flashbacks when Janghyun was fighting. Him slowly losing spirit but his memories with Gilchae the night before he left brought him back to reality. Giving him the will to power through the life he's living. A lot of this show has been tragic and a very heartbreaking romance, but in a weird way the fact that Gilchae give him that much strength was heart-fluttering.
A lot of people call Janghyun a flat character because of his unwillingness to move on from Gilchae but as much as that's his most unwavering trait- I think it's one of his best. Without his loyalty to Gilchae, he would just be a plain anti-hero. He's smart, can fight well, and as we've seen from the war- he's for the people. But then again, he wouldn't have risk his life as much as he's done without the motivation to keep Gilchae safe.
It's also meaningful that Janghyun and Gilchae shared that kiss during that night. I'm sure her husband doesn't know because he would definitely think of her in a different light. We've seen from the 11th episode that Janghyun is against the belief of casting a woman out for being 'tainted'- and he would love Gilchae even if she slept with her husband. That kiss though, was almost like a promise between the two of them. That their hearts belong to each other- no matter what choices they make in the future.
I'm worried about the hardships Gilchae will go through in the future because of the care and attention Janghyun will show to her- but I also hope that Gilchae is able to realize that it might just be smarter to run away with Janghyun. After being captured, realistically I'm not sure she'd ever be able to provide for her family or even return to them again.
Just a rant .. now I shall wait to watch the 12th ep.
I'm glad they moved the plot along pretty fast for them to at least be in the same city - I was worried the first two eps would just be leading up to this "reunion" . Either way , I was on the edge of my seat hoping they wouldn't leave us at a cliffhanger before Janghyun recognized her.
seokjin seriously impressed me like over 20 times in this show ,, i mean i didn't know much about him before hand…
orbit was impressive as well . i was sure him and yumin were going to get out during that card game and we'd be left with dongjoo, seokjin, and joobin as the three finalists . but the way he built up his deck from absolutely nothing was crazy
i can't lie .. aside from guessing seokjin would win , i really wanted dongjoo to come on top . she was super amazing
+++ when it was announced that seewon and seokjin would be going to prison together and that prison secret tunnel reveal .. my jaw was on the floor , i figured something big would be down there but it was crazier than i expected
I just realized that this is the second time these two actors have worked together. Kim Okbin is Taealha in Arthdal Chronicles and Yoo Teo plays Ragaz in that same series !

.... also seeing chungah in the full on qing dynasty attire makes me wonder if this season is gonna take place mostly in china . i'm really curious to see how that goes .. but at the same time janghyun PLEASE run away with gilchae !!!!!!!
