at the same time - of course not including her 18th life , i think she has learned not to feel too attached once she moves onto the next life . cause that’s a lot of trauma and a lot of emotions to hold onto for eternity

but if she’s lived so many lives and went past the age of 20 in multiple of them … i wonder if she’s ever checked on her descendents . cause she must of had children at least once in all of the lives she has lived

well at that point in the future , the son / ML had been investigating the murders and perhaps the dad realized that the son would’ve uncovered the truth of the crime .

at the same time - wanting to create a perfect family and wanting a child so bad does not guarantee that those feelings will stay the same in the future . i got first hand experience with a dad like that so 🤷🏻‍♀️ (minus the murder parts lol)

once again , moxi saves fengyao . it’s interesting to see the mix between truth and lies , and i’m sure wende was able to pick up on that as well . because moxi is completely over jiagui but she had act like she still cares about him when revealing the truth of their past relationship . you can really see this in the fact that the next day after the wedding she’s completely back to normal - not a single thought about jiagui

i’m also glad that fengyao now knows , and what wende’s soldier said was absolutely necessary. i saw a comment during one of moxi’s day dreams where fengyao offed herself when she found out that moxi and jiagui were a thing that said “wow is that really how she see’s her cousin “ . but seriously that’s how fengyao is 😭

It's interesting too since you can tell she senses how close Moxi is with CWD (or at least I hope she isn't that oblivious) - Obviously there are some misunderstandings about how cruel or 'evil' he really is. But considering BFY's personality, I think she'll literally die out of stubborness than even consider that her view on 'good' and 'bad' has been biased.

Also I think it's kinda wonderful how the song in the intro is sung by Zhangnan. And by the lyrics, it could be viewed as Moxi singing about Fengyao.

It drives me crazy to think that Moxi doesn't even have a last name - that's how much the Bai family doesn't care about her. That they didn't even let her be part of the family.

I'm here to defend Moxi ☝️

I just think that everything she's thinking- her feelings, are completely normal if you think about her situation. In general, Moxi has never been the most pure, or even a person to do things the correct way.

We see that especially with how her and Fengyao differed when Wende revealed he was going to assassinate that minister or whatever. Moxi was ready to let it just happen while Fengyao, who grew up more sheltered wanted to prevent a "bad" thing from happening. Even if she didn't know the true implications of the situation.

But Moxi has ALWAYS put Fengyao before herself. Always. Moxi grew up with struggles from the get-go. She knows the world wouldn't waste anytime getting rid of her, so she has the smarts to think quickly and look past just how it's affecting herself. Moxi sees the innocence in Fengyao and wants to protect that. But in turn, that means that Moxi has to put her own feelings aside in order to make Fengyao comfortable.

Moxi has done this to the extreme. For example, in the acadamy- Moxi going to the principle with a knife in order to protect Fengyao. Whether it's a good thing or not- we know Fengyao just doesn't have it in her to do the same for Moxi.

So when we think about Jiagui and Moxi- Moxi feels like it's the first time she could have something for herself, her own happiness. Something/someone she doesn't have to share or put Fengyao's feelings before her own. Although as we know, Moxi again and again- puts Fengyao first. And in turn- Jiagui and Fengyao are now getting married.

I feel like it's totally reasonable that Moxi throws a bit of a fit and becomes a little selfish. Of course it's due to her own selflessness that this situation occurred- but it still is unfair and Moxi now has to deal with her cousin who she loves the most, being with the man she loves the most. I don't even think I could be 100% supportive if that happened to me irl.

Keeping Fengyao in the dark about the whole situation is a little tricky. I'm sure she finds out in the future but honestly- since Moxi didn't tell Fengyao about her liking Jiagui from the start- it's kind of impossible to do now. Because Fengyao will try and stop the wedding and in turn- have to marry that Wu guy. Again, - Fengyao doesn't look at the bigger picture while Moxi does. Moxi wouldn't even be able to be with Jiagui if the wedding was called off anyways. It's just better for her to not know until it's impossible to undo.

(I'm team Moxi and Wende anyways lol. I think their personalities match better.)

I don't view this show as something where all the characters are going to be perfect and first love = forever love. So I am enjoying the drama and the layers each situation and character has. I know the bond these cousins have is strong and I know a man isn't going to break that up- but it would be even more unrealistic if they never disagreed or had a fight.

(I haven't watched the 20th ep so just know i'm not up to date with everything)

I get what you mean - I just finished the show and I'll tell you it's more about regretting what she did rather than forgiveness.

Personally she never really redeems herself- but in a way it's like we understand why she's like that although we can't forgive her (at least that was my thought).

As the show progresses, it's focused more on the death of his father- and honestly the last two episodes were really well done. I'd say that it's worth skipping through a lot of the harsh scenes from the mother- but then again if you can't stand something like that then there's no reason for you to push yourself to watch that ,,

I’m not sure where you’re watching this, but by episode 8 you will see how mature Moxi is despite her feelings towards the 2ML.

I don’t want to spoil anything, but I really have respect for the level of selflessness Moxi has when it comes to her cousin. What she does is not an easy thing to do at all.

Hopefully you enjoy the show after watching more episodes !

but no matter how messy some of these plots were .. the acting was really great ! everyone really but zhao lusi really made this show for me

all i have to say is that if i were any of the people in that class or family .. i’d never speak to li quan again

he really just made people pity him to get out of any real consequences

it's crazy cause wu shan dao was really willing to sit and talk with li quan after he calmed down a little bit - but no .. li quan had to jump and try and forcibly get smth he doesn't even know the full story about .. and because of that .....

i really understand that he's going through a lot being the only one making money for his family who is just continuously going through hardships- but it's his lack of self respect and confidence that is ruining him

just in the two recent episodes her parents mentioned that she's missed too much school meaning she's either in high school or early college

She's really not jealous, but she for sure likes him. Since TT puts other people before herself- it's not out of character that she'd still care for MM even if she likes the dude that MM likes.
