I don't know why this drama is not trending in MDL at least rating is raising and the conversation as well....for…
I feel the same way . I even tried making a recommendation post on the kdramarec subreddit in hopes that would bring more interest to the show .. but the moderators didn't allow it since the show was still airing 🤕
i cried like a baby (no pun intended) when the grandparents passed ..... like the fact that he still fought so hard to protect the village .. like janghyun said , i can't cry because they went down together ..
either way . i'm VERY nervous about the baby , and the mother (she was bleeding a whole bunch) .. i don't know how i'm going to wait a week for new episodes
also i'm probably as happy as janghyun is to hear gilchae call him 'my dear husband' . i would've called him my husband as well if he swooped in to save me like that
I FUCKING CANNOT THIS SHOW IS SO GOOD SOMEONE PUNCH ME IN THE FACE SO I KNOW I'M NOT DREAMING!I already know this…
Thank you for your comment ! I agree regarding the comment you made about Namkoong Min- I've seen quite a few of his works but his charisma just seems off the charts here.
A lot of people in the comments here are echoing the same remarks but seriously it's so refreshing to have a mature sageuk. It feels like it's been forever since we've seen this type of story with this type of execution.
Why is the government not protecting their retired agents?
In this case I think it's the government not caring about them because they aren't with the organization anymore. AKA not their responsibility. Although it does seem that they care enough to consider destroying all evidence (the files) of the agents even existing.
I loved the transition of Janghyun reliving the trauma from his childhood. It reminded me of Peter's spidey sense kicking in during No Way Home. Just the slow pan around his face (which is in focus), to reveal what is going on inside of his head.
What language the Qin emperor spoke? It wasn't Chinese, it looked Korean with words being eaten before it is spoken...I…
(It's actually Qing instead of Qin)
I was wondering that too while listening to the Qing emperor speak, I couldn't hear any Chinese or understand it as Korean but it sounded more Korean than anything else.
(I googled) and it seemed like the Qing people spoke Manchu, which is unrelated to the Chinese language. I listened to the convo the emperor had with that other guy again and if you listen closely, when he talks about the "seven year war", you can hear the Manchu word for seven- Which is "nadan". So, I'm pretty sure it's Manchu they are speaking.
