I am curious how much money they make from successful drama like this one?

Western historical/ fantasy drama very rare ever have proper end. Mostly axed after season 2 or season 1. Struggling to create a good writing is not only happening in Cdrama but everywhere.

Rumor, November or December airing.

Mu Yao and Liu Fuyi which in original novel, they actually mc.

I feels like 2-3 more episodes will be perfect. I know people complaining about lack of romance but at the end, this story is Miaomiao story. In real life, she do not crave for romance but she clearly lacking of companionship , lack of purpose and she lost father. Hence why whenever she with her father always emotional.

She with Mu Sheng is cute but I don't see purpose them involved too deep in romance. Current one is perfect IMO, they are soulmate that saving each other. It is way more sophisticated and deep that way. Not everything need to have direct conclusion.

Mysterious Lotus Casebook was crazy good.

Best kdramas are pretty tame, comparable with Cdrama. It don't always need crazy thing or explicit things to create a good story.

With three big dramas airing , Fangs of Fortune , Love Game and Pearl Girl. All equally well made, high production value, great actors and great writing. It is safe to say Cdrama now it surpassing Kdrama and Jdrama.

All cdrama have weak arc. TBH I still think it's good.

Lin Yu is just antagonist side character in original "novel" Somehow she is not that important, Mu Sheng fake married her and bully her so bad than she suicide herself. Mu Sheng somehow is bad evil SML that fight with FL ( Mu Yao ) at the end.

Surprising that among big three dramas that airing, FoF , Love game and Pearl Girl , this drama is the one i am always waiting for . I can't get enough sad angry tsundere Ding Yu Zi.

Sometimes I think if only Cdrama was massive like now back in the day when I was college student. So many to watch and not enough time, cause responsibility.

Actually kinda hilarious that supposed ML and FL , Fu Yi and Mu Yao do not have any suspicion from Lin Yu personality changes. Typical FL and ML on fantasy drama that sometimes too righteous and too oblivious with everything.

Actually Isekai/transmigration still kinda rare as live action drama ( mostly it still novel , manhwa or anime )and they done it wonderfully.

She enjoyed acting like this, I don't think she exhausted by it.

Chu Shuijiu is such cool character. Sharp eyes with sharp voice. reminds me Brigette Lin

What is the Facejoking? I am googling it and only her that appears. I read some article that she began her career as actress because she won this award.

First time? I think you missed so many good dramas at Youku.

American and Kdrama have smaller episode number so that's why they need fast pacing. Usually Kdrama is 12 episodes while Cdrama whooping 40 episodes, it was longer before new regulation. American drama even shorter with 7-8 episodes.

Cdrama literally struggle with filling up long episodes instead fast pace story.
