Yea her name pops up a lot in rumours. But her name is also showing up as rumours in a lot of other historical productions. Since historical productions take usually around half a year to film, let's just hope that the other ones are right and this one isnt.
Not gonna lie this does not sound like a Dilraba role. I have nothing against and am a fan of her but I really hope the female lead will be given to someone else. And I swear to god productions like these should not be given to idol actors either.
-Nice cinematography and music -Main character is... very quirky. Like extremely quirky. Gala is playing another one of those characters who are super smart IQ wise on a subject, but have questionable EQ. The character is not as dumb as other he’s played though, for those who are worried. MC is also slightly creepy and questionable at times, which adds to the mystery. -Plot has been fine. A couple things feel dragged out for like, 5 minutes too long but it’s been okay so far. -Teasers, trailers, posters, intro, outro and extra clips have not revealed or spoiled too much, so feel free to watch those. -As much as I like Ma Ke, I... don’t understand the purpose of his character here other than he likes baseball and is somehow related to our main character. But this is only the first 8 episodes so he probably will play a bigger role afterwards, but for now I really don’t care for him...
Overall a fun detective series. Nothing WOW, but not bad. A little trigger warning though for those who hates insects. There’s many insect close ups.
Extra notes: not romance heavy, not horror, not thriller either.... it almost feels like a slice of life, but in detective format.

Jackson is probably the best actor out of the TFBoys. Have been enjoying this but I find myself almost falling asleep, until the action and conspiracy linguo wakes me up. Pretty sure this is the exact reason why I dropped it in the first watch, but I'll try to power through this time.
