you should give it a shot. the pace is around the same but there are more things happening so it doesn't feel slow. I had to watch The Best Thing on 2x speed to power though it but for this drama I am savoring every second. Hope that helps.

ya, the "officially" together confession in ep 35 is just a formality considering what they just did.

ML is kind of a coward in the last two episodes. He confessed to FL after they slept together and proposed to her (scene in the special ep) after they got their marriage certificate lol. Like.... it's kinda late. Was she really going to say no?

I was at first put off by the red flag ML when this drama first aired and dropped it at ep 4. People on The First Frost comment section suggested this drama as most similar so I decided to give it a second chance and I'm so glad I did. The slow burn just kept burning and the temperature between the leads went from cold to inferno at the end. I've been trying to watch some other dramas these two weeks, but I keep going back to L&P.

there was one scene where they zoomed in on FZJ's eye to show it had no pupil. They reattached the eye with surgery but he is partially blinded.

there's some similar tropes but I agree that it's not very similar. Lighter & Princess is the most similar to The First Frost imo.

this drama should have been 12 episodes. ending was pretty good. besides that, only thing I really remember about this drama was FL's red flag ex, FL's confession to ML and ML's young patient calling him daddy and the ridiculous misunderstanding that it caused. Lots of kissing but I did not feel too much chemistry between the leads. All the scenes between the lead actors feels a bit too scripted.

Sang Yan is a tsundare. He'll only say mean things, but you know he cares about his friends and the FL. He was like this in Hidden Love so I don't know why you think he is a red flag here. Also, the ML is afraid of being rejected by the FL again. Being a slow burn drama, the temperature rises slowly. But if you don't like it just watch something else.

in ep 5 Sang Yan went to Yihe during college to see Wen Yifan. Sang Zhi should still be in high school at that time.
