I've just started this, 3 episodes in . It's pretty good so far and I do feel like I'll grow to like the characters. The ML actor reminds me of a young Deric Wan but that's probably just me. Not a bad thing at all. The only thing is that I'm tired of drama leads meeting as kid and then reuniting as adults...
I am dropping this drama at ep 34. Just cant stand this yukee chan get into trouble millionth time. its like someone…
Why do you even bother watching it in the first place since she supposedly kills every drama she's in? It's not like you didn't know she was in this. If you're on some mission to make us all hate her, well, sorry, I ain't buying any of it.
One thing I've learned about him is that he is very sincere but he can be so cheeky/bratty in interviews sometimes. I often find my lips twitching at his responses, like I want to hit him. He has yet to play a character like that in dramas so I look forward to the day we get to see that. LOL.
I haven't progressed past ep 31 but what you said about the cliff scene is exactly what I'm afraid of. I feel…
I haven't gotten to it yet but I do know his sister also dies. She's one of my favorite female characters in this. I love how she stood up to her psychotic husband to save her brother and yet at the same time struggle with the fact that she is in love with her father's murderer. It was going a tragic ending for her anyway, but knowing that she died like that still doesn't make it any better for me.
Tou and Xue Zhi's scenes are sugary sweet. A part of me wishes that they would get married during this time and at least she would be his wife even if she passed. But eh, I'll take whatever I can right now since I know there's more torture to come.

I made it to ep 34 and the scenes they have together are really sweet even if she's on the verge of dying. I love that she insisted on following him to save his father. That kiss was a long awaited one and I was quite relieved to see they finally stopped torturing each other, at least for the moment.
On the other hand, the father and son scenes definitely got to me. Their final conversation was painful to watch. Same with Tou's sister and their father's.
LOL - I am not a fan of the fan either... It is just so signature Ouyang Feng I just never want the MLs to use…
I thought of Chu Liuxiang instead of Ouyang Feng hahaha. If there's a chance of a Chu Liuxiang remake, Leo might be a good choice for the titular role.

I finally made it to ep 32 stopped exactly after Xue Zhi found out the truth from Yuan Shuangshuang . Probably not a good idea to squeeze two episodes in an hour-long break because now I will have wait until work is over to find out what happens after that scene. I was trying hard to feel sorry for Mu Yuan, but I think he knew all of this was just going to be fleeting and that he'd have to wake up.
Exactly, how did this misunderstanding last like 12 episodes? I stand by what I said in an earlier comment about locking the two of them in a room and talking things out. Truly Er Diedie would have been the one annoyed enough to do that.
Episodes 39-40 were excruciating to watch/finish, I think I spent 1.5 hours on episode 39 alone, that's how much…
I haven't progressed past ep 31 but what you said about the cliff scene is exactly what I'm afraid of. I feel like if they hadn't dragged the misunderstanding for like 8, 10 episodes, then maybe I'd feel more emotionally impacted by him falling off the cliff. At the point where I'm at, I just want him to fall off so they can move on from this mess. I feel like when I actually get to that scene, it would be another "ugh finally" moment for me.
Only skimmed the book it was darker but I kind of liked it.
My problem with the novel lies with the characters, didn't care for them at all. The second half was also a wreck but at least there was something happening other than just talk. The drama at least has likable leads that I care about, but eh, the story is just stagnant.
I can't believe I'm saying this because I hated the book but I would have preferred if the scriptwriter incorporated more of it in the drama .I mean, at least there is SOME development and action in the book.
Here we go again, episodes 31 and 32. More talk, more confirmation about the OTP's love for each other. I feel…
I'm with you! So frustrating to go back and forth about their love. Despite all that though I still like the drama only because their love and the acting is keeping me going. I just want to see a final proper ending for these two.
I'm still very much on board with this drama and the OTP! Yes I'm frustrated with the misunderstanding that's been dragged out for so long, but I'm just hoping this all of this will pay off in the end. Make the reunion scenes extra sweet please.
