Anyone else searching for the English song “Better With You” that is in the later episodes? It has started…
If it's the one at minute 18 in Episode 12, the singer is Justin Lee, and the title is Better With You. He has several that I like a lot, such as On My Way, Holding on To You, In Your Light, and some others I don't remember the titles.
Badly written characters galore. This drama’s now topping the dramas I’ve watched with most number of unbelievable characters. Honestly, every few minutes I was thinking: ”Nobody would react this way”, or “There’s no one with such incoherent personality” or “Nobody would say that in that situation” and so on. Most of them were badly written. Even side characters like manager Mr. Kim or the FL’s mother, who also had the worst acting (among a lot of bad acting with the few exceptions of the 5 main roles and the FL’s father).
I don’t want to go into the script and its unrealistic sub-plots, some of which were perfect for a parody, like the rich ex-girlfriend turned psycho and willing to lose it all to kill the FL….yeah right.
I finished because I wanted to know the MC love story, and gave it 5/10 which is my lowest rating, because I only liked the ML character and the OST, sadly, because Park Min Young is one of my favorite K-actress.
Silver lining: Given the high rating (8.6) of this drama in MDL, I’ll be searching for members who rated it 6 or less, to add to my list of members with similar opinions 😊
Very good C-dramas about high school-college-after college = Forever Love, Meeting You, Amidst a snowstorm of…
These 8 c-dramas are famous because they are all sweet love stories and you already watched one of them. Try first Forever Love. If you don't like it and drop it, then try next Put your head on my shoulders, then Amidst a snowstorm of love, and so on. I'm sure you'll like at least 4 or 5 of them. But watch a few episodes before dropping them, they usually get more interesting as you continue watching
Can anyone recommend me another Chinese drama similar to this? I am mostly Kdrama viewer but god after completing…
Very good C-dramas about high school-college-after college = Forever Love, Meeting You, Amidst a snowstorm of love, Exclusive Fairytale, My Fated Boy, Le Coup de Foudre, Lighter & Princess, Put Your Head on my Shoulders (and some of these are better than Hidden Love in my opinion).
Why does he have so many flowers? Most of his dramas are low rated even in Douban. He was at the end of the queue of supporting actors in the 2 that have better ratings (Dark One and Ruyi's Royal Love), and he has won only 1 acting award. There are so many ML from several countries who have starred in many high-rated dramas, who have won many acting awards as well, but don't have so many people buying them flowers. I can understand and agree if it's because he's handsome (he even appeared in the cover of Chinese GQ) 😍
He wants to take her out for coffee. I am not sure which scene you refer. There is a lot of coffee
It was implied from the beginning that he was not a 'social media' guy, then also he asked his roommate if he should install the emojis in his phone, therefore, I assume that he sent it because that was the only he had in his phone, which he had previously used to invite someone for coffee. Becausevthe coffee emoji only has 2 uses in texts: referring to coffe and spilling the means/gossip.
If you like J-dramas, I can recommend some, because they have many sweet good dramas. Let me know. If not, try…
Also, there are a few J-dramas that are very popular, famous and/or high rated, which I gave them 7 because they were just nice. BUT you may like them more than a 7, so here they are:
Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo (2020) Rich Man, Poor Woman (2012) Sequel Film = Rich Man, Poor Woman in New York (2013) First season = Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo (2013) Second season = Itazura na Kiss: Love in Tokyo Season 2 (2014) Shanai Marriage Honey (2020) Rinko-san wa Shite Mitai (2021) Jitenshaya-san no Takahashi-kun (2022) Minami-kun no Koibito - My Little Lover (2015) Promise Cinderella (2021)
Viki still hasn't corrected many wrong translations. The best right now are those on Kisskh although they have…
Encounter has a happy end. Every drama that I have rated 7 and above, are all happy endings. And most 6 and 5 as well. I truly hate sad endings and avoid them to such extent, that I won't watch a film or drama, no matter how famous, oscar-winner, many awards, etc, just because it doesn't have a happy end.
The only exceptions have been when I didn't know (i.e., Cheese in the trap, Yumi's Cells, which of course I rated low). And 2 movies I was forced by my kids to watch (Titanic and the italian film Life is Beautiful)

I like the love story of Cunning Single Lady, I think I even rewatched it at some point. But the ones I listed are like romantic comfort if I'm in a drama slump. I also have several c-dramas in my group of romantic-comfort rewatch

As you said, j-dramas tend to be deep, even if it’s animation like the famous and highly awarded film My Name. Or just have different angles than productions from other countries.
I like them and actually right now I have a huge pending-to-watch-list of J-dramas LOL
For your question, by most romantic I think you mean a drama which is romance-focused, not other action, thriller, etc, is included in the plot, and that I also loved a lot?
Then that would be: Kimi no Te ga Sasayaite Iru (1997). The FL is deaf, and the drama is 5 episodes, that were aired only one each year. I was lucky, many years later, to be able to download it and keep it (I can send you the link of the episodes in my cloud drive if you want to watch it).
Another very romantic is Tatta Hitotsu no Koi (2006). Love Generation and Long Vacation as well, both starring Kimura Takuya. And one of my fave Japanese love stories is Pride 2004, but it also has parts about the ML sports career, so I’m not sure if you’ll like it (I also keep it in better quality in my drive)
For most romantic movies (I rate movies in imdb.com, not in MDL), I would say the following:
-Love For Beginners (Kyō, koi o hajimemasu) 2012 -From Me To You (Kimi ni todoke) 2010 -Say I Love You (Sukitte iinayo) 2014 -I don’t remember very well, but maybe also Honey 2018

Then forget 'sweet" j-dramas, which are always PG and slow burn. But they have "not-sweet" dramas with real passionate kisses, like Pride, Love Generation, I need to remember others. Taiwan also usually have real passionate kisses and early on. Meeting You is a c-drama and I don't remember the kiss-timeline. The Love Equations is also c-drama, sweet and slow burn.
I need something romantic like this and it will be months before i can find a good one :(
If you like J-dramas, I can recommend some, because they have many sweet good dramas. Let me know. If not, try Meeting You 2020. And maybe The love Equations, You've already watched several good ones.
