Hope this airs after Shadow Love, bc I need to renew my subscription early next month to continue watching it (Shadow Love) and I'm hoping to watch an iQIYI drama I've been looking really forward to! Fushanhai is my #1!!!!

I only watched 4 eps and I'm loving every bit of it especially with the leads! And I love the relationship between Lishuang and her brother :( I love how they care for each other even tho it may not look like it (based on how they act). The brothers-in-law relationship is already so precious to me even tho they got shown once! And my goshhhh, JIN'AN IS TOO ADORABLE!!!!!!! I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF HIM!!!! Gonna be so sad when he regains his memories back but when he does, hopefully we'll get that mix of Jin'an and Aodeng in him!

The chemistry between the leads is just so precious and adorable, I am so loving it! I am not a romance person if it's not really done right, but this one... for some reason, the romance is my fav part of the show! Sometimes, if a romance feels forced OR if the plot is just so bad that the romance doesn't do it justice (tho the leads may have chemistry), then... that is sad (cuz I have experienced it before). But this... wow, everything just makes me so happy while watching! I'm not getting bored at all! I am so happy! This drama wasn't really one of my most highly anticipated ones (wasn't planning on watching it while airing tbh)... and I wasn't really expecting much from it, but it definitely exceeded my expectations.

I'm so happy to have watched this AFTER LOTFG bc that one was a huge disappointment for me. The writing lacked depth (and ngl, there was a lot of filler that wasn't enjoyable to watch and unnecessary). For some reason, I am loving the chemistry here even more even tho I wasn't expecting it. I think it may be bc Cheng Lei is just so adorable (like omggg, finally not a stoic character for him, THIS IS THE BEST!!!!) but tbh I also feel like the FL feels more like an actual female general (like very natural in her role). Tho Zhou Ye was really good too (and I loved her fight scenes). It's just here it feels more natural and more believable if yk what I mean... I love how FL is so caring, loving, but also has a fun side in her too. I really love this pair. Can't wait to watch more of it 🥹

Btw, did you ever think about the fact that in Shadow Love, FL's father makes his daughter the FEMALE GENERAL because she's a better fit for it than her brother, but in LOTFG, the father is the complete opposite, betrays his daughter, and takes away her GENERAL title for his son 🫠 EVEN THO, her brother is completely not fit for it at all??? Like omg, the family relationship in Shadow Love is just sooo precious!

The VA on dramawiki/baide baike of ARP (Zhang Fu Zheng) is the same as the one here (Wai Wai) - the same person. I've checked cuz the dramas are the same for both. Also, Baidu Baike is prob the most accurate (sometimes it may be a bit delayed in putting some VAs tho, Idk how late lol). The child is surprisingly dubbed by someone too (def a child voice actor)

So I just checked and dang, his name is different on dramawiki and Baidu Baike but I decided to check the VA cast here and yeah it's the same as ARP in those two dramas. I personally do not think he sounds anything like Cheng Lei (as someone who did watch MJTY and FoF). But I guess considering the fact that GJM makes their actors dub themselves very deeply, slow, and low, maybe Cheng Lei sounds different when he talks in his normal tone so I have yet to watch a drama where he does

Yeah I saw that he has two voice actors in this drama, and one of them being the same as Lan Zhan (Bian Jiang)... but having only watched by half of Ep.2 so far, I have only heard the Ao Ruipeng VA so far. The Bian Jiang one has not appeared yet for me... it's for sure gonna be later. Btw, the ARP VA is not only used when he's a child. It also appears in the very first scene of the leads (where they kiss) so that means Cheng Lei has that VA too (not just as the child). It also appears where he tries to save the guy (in the blood pit place whatever it's called before he got infected by that thing) so it's before he turned into a child. I wonder if this ARP VA will not appear later on... Tho the voice does not fit him at all, that voice is sooo attractive to me that I will miss it if so LOL

Edit: So I watched a bit more and finally heard Bian Jiang's voice! Wondering why they gave 2 VAs for Cheng Lei tho, I'm a bit confused 😅

No, he has the same voice actor for Ao Ruipeng in 'Moonlight Mystique' and 'Coroner's Diary.' In my personal opinion, the voice suits most with Ao Ruipeng (I am so used to it and it just fits him so perfectly 😭). I prefer Cheng Lei to use his own voice but I would say in LOTFG it sounded more similar to his than his VA here (personally). I know people have their own opinions

I'm sorry but the VA for Cheng Lei is not it 😭 I can only think of Ao Ruipeng 😩 Idk why but this VA just doesn't suit him at all... whereas LOTFG does fit him quite well actually imo. Oh well, gonna have to get used to it 🫠

Edit: So I only watched Cheng Lei in FoF and MJTY and I know that GJM makes their actors dub themselves in a very low, deep, and slow tone... so I guess that voice isn't the only voice he has XDDD!!! I have yet to watch Cheng Lei in a drama where he talks in his normal talking voice. So true. Ep.34 was unnecessary imo and what more with 2 more episodes to go 😭 I really felt it should've just ended where they were preparing for the wedding (Feinu helping Xiaojue) and that's it... the unnecessary drama afterwards was so not needed 😑🙄

Lol Chu Zhao and the emperor changing and going out of character made me skip and fastforward their scenes in Ep.34... bc it made no sense at all, just complete nonsense! I dropped this earlier (at Ep.22), picked it back up, and regret it. I'm never forcing myself to watch a drama again if I ever feel this way 😭😭😭

Still my favorite drama of this year and it was the first drama I watched in 2025 too! Never gonna forget how much I enjoyed this masterpiece and its relationships and plottwists!

I remember dropping this at Ep.22 and would ONLY see positive comments about it and I'm like, "Why is there like only a few to no negative comments?????" I was confused about that because I don't know how people find this drama really good when the writing and emotional depth is definitely lacking... now I'm coming here and I'm seeing only negative reviews! Wow! What a change and smth that I actually agree with!

So actually, after almost a week, I decided to pick it back up bc I do remember some scenes making me enjoy it (so I may watch it for the good, none filler, interesting scenes) but honestly, it might've been a mistake bc AGAIN, I fast-forwarded sooo many scenes since I found them boring and unnecessary!!!! I don't like dropping dramas tho unless it's really really bad and unenjoyable but the writing here is just BAD BAD! There was way too much filler that they could've instead replaced them with NECESSARY scenes that could've moved the plot forward. Like idk what those girls were doing here bc they were jealous of Heyan (one of the biggest fillers!), UNNECESSARY!!!!

I agree Chu Zhao got a lot more screentime than he should've and while I don't REALLY hate him, I do understand why he is an unlikeable character. Maybe cuz I feel bad for what happened to his past and had no one by his side but himself... but I do agree that instead of adding his scenes and unnecessary filler, they should'e added more scenes of her climbing her way up FOCUSING ON REVENGE 😭 😭 😭

Idk if I'm the only one that I feel like they added in too many romance scenes or too many unncessary scenes leading up to their romance... is it just me? They should'e added scenes that were needed, not every one of those random scenes they put that felt a bit too much (leaving us stuck in the same place of the plot). While the romance was good, it lacked EMOTIONAL DEPTH which is needed for us viewers to feel the characters more!

I was really enjoying this drama until i don't really remember which episode but it was like before the half-way point came that I started to fastforward bunches of scenes... and I wanted to give up. Well, I am subscribed to iQIYI so I have to wait 1 ep each day to finish it instead of just getting over with it right now, oh well.. at least I'm watching smth more enjoyable now!!!

HONESTLY SAME! I decided to drop at Ep.22 but decided to pick it back up after finishing my other dramas I was watching... idk if this was a great choice or not bc it's still really bad to me (I don't really like dropping dramas tho esp if I enjoy it in some scenes, maybe that's why)... I am watching on iQIYI tho so I have been waiting for 1 ep each day... I just wish I could finish it to get it over with LOL
