I never heard of "love of sand storm". Taiwan dramas have that Taiwanese flavour. Taipei looks amazing too.
it didnt really get much attention when it was airing.

i really wanted to like it. as a kid the live action Tarzan movie and the jungle book were some of my favorite stories.

my first issue was the idea that after a decade or more this extremely wealthy family with resources to burn couldn't find a missing kid who stayed in the same general area and routinely came close enough to to other hikers to pilfer their belongings. the opening is the basis of their story. if they didnt care enough about that to make it remotely plausible it's a sign that bigger dumber plot holes or even lazier writing is up ahead. also how DOES he keep his whites so white?

mostly though it was the acting. even if you completely remove wolf boy and adjust expectations to suit the Taiwanese style the acting is just not good. I've seen more convincing performances out of my 11 yo's drama club.

Office girls was my first Taiwanese drama and I found the first couples episodes screechy but then I fell in love.…
i attempted both bromance and prince of wolves. dropped bromance when only 3 eps in they couldnt keep their story straight.
"oh, be his friend b/c he doesnt have friends, btw here's his life long best friend say hi." doesnt bode well for the rest of the story.

prince of wolf i just couldnt get past the first episode. very cringey.

Yes MARS was amazing! Good chemistry and a really intense plot that will keep you on your toes. Sometimes I wonder…
i did really like mars but there was just too much angst for me.

M favorite is Drunken to Love you. Also there are only 5 dramas on the list not 6.

I watched so much Tw dramas but any of those :O It is always good to talk about something new, I always talk about…
i enjoyed in time with you (gave it an 8) but i dont generally recommend it to people b/c the plot drags-a lot- and the pay off doesn't make up for it IMO. the rest you mention i have either dropped or not watched.

YES someone else who couldn't get past episode 10 of Goblin! I tried soooo hard to like that show I ended up hating…
i have noted the beanie magic on several occasions. for some reason asian men almost universally look HOT in beanies.

I was surprised to see these dramas in your list...... you have to give them another chance they're really…
i find that's rarely the case for me. as i said i did try Pinocchio twice. Goblin may get a second chance somewhere down the line as back ground video when i'm doing something else b/c i know at least there will be beautiful music and a few moments of awesome.

IOTL unfortunately i feel no inclination to complete. i can see where it's going, have confirmation from other users that i am correct and would rather use my time watching stuff i will enjoy.

I haven't seen the last three (I dropped Healer after second ep I guess?) but good god I agree with you on…
oh i knew that was going to happen.

if healer had been less glossy, had actors that struggled and had a less talented stunt/ action sequence team then we wouldn't be having this discussion. all the quippy dialogue in the world can't make un-jumble a jumbled crowded plot subjected to bad editing and pacing. but it can still be A LOT OF FUN

when one looks at the editing, writing and story telling (the very core, the internal structure upon which all other things rest) it is sub par, awful in fact. which makes it even more impressive that the actors/ production team managed to knock it out of the park the way they did.

I don't really feel it. Bong Pil is just selfish. and I don;t think they will be able to fix it later on...
i agree. they've established pretty well just in the first episode that this is who he is. not giving up yet though. i've sat through worse b/c of my love of JJ lol.

too bad he's a self admitted asshole in real life. if only his personality could be as nice as his face *sigh*
the only reason i know about this is b/c someone told me. i looked into it, when you see it in context, it's pretty rude statements, like, bro do you know you said that out loud? they can HEAR you lol! esp considering how careful korean entertainers usually are b/c the netizens are BONKERS. he can be a jerk. i dont have to like him as a person to enjoy his work. i was just explaining my statement to someone who asked. that being said we all say not very nice things at home, or in private or something rude slips past our verbal filter in public, but when we do we KNOW it's rude. the fact that he seems not to get that, b/c he said it multiple times and then tried to say it was a joke, that's what makes me say "yes, he's a jerk."
