the original k-version was a flawed thing. my hope going into PLHZ was that they had seen what worked and what didn't and would have improved upon it. no such luck.

there are disappointing dramas every year, but so many of the ones that were supposed to be great this year turned out to be meh.

was it maybe the constant look of depression on the female lead's face?

they kept coming back to the same problems again and again with almost no development each time. in 6 eps the plot made almost no progress.

that doesnt mean it can't be enjoyed, just not by me :)

i live in NC right now. i did spend a year and a half in Columbus Ohio though, for my husband's work. too cold. we are southern folk.

my opinion that the lead actress is pathetic comes from her spending the majority of the eps i watched moping around acting like a broken woman who's just trying to get through each day. her annoyance with the male lead did little to off set this. it's an over used drama trope and it annoys me even when it's called for by the story.

i dont mind a shaved head (my husband has kept his shaved for the better part of 14 years) but it doesn't suit everyone. it wasnt just his hair cut. the clothes were awful to and seemed selected specifically to go poorly with his complexion and body type.

as you say, to each their own, i love that people love dramas, even ones that i didn't like :)

maybe they were purposely trying to make him look less attractive.? this is coming from a person who has never liked a single thing he's been in. i am not a fan. but jeezy cheesy is he attractive.

this is hilarious b/c i am the least romantic person in the world. my husband and i got married at the court house and asked if we had to listen tot the speech. like can't we just sign the paper bro? i have been accused of having no heart many times. but i LOVE rom coms. like it is my favorite genre of asian drama. it makes me squeal like a teenage girl even though i never squealed as a teenage girl lol
