the idea that i have to wait 12 hours into a 20 hour show for it to get good is depressing.

it's a good romance, and the show would be much less watchable with out it. i try to be concise.

i guess there is a possibility they DID know what the lyrics meant, but they use it at times when it doesnt seem to fit the mood.

i can't really saying anything., one year i tried to decorate the Christmas tree while listening to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds so what do i know about mood music.

i don't dislike Aki, i dislike the lack of effort put into her as a character. She is not a complete person. aside from her fiance and her two friends we learn almost nothing about her as a character. she is so poorly fleshed out that we know nothing about her family, in fact we know more about her friend who grew up poor than Aki herself. we dont know what she does aside from being an "office lady" her past and present are presented in a way that is completely characterized by what's going on in her love life.

But Aki is not the one who turned her fiance away, even after he hit her, she was ready to marry him up until the point where he broke up with her.

she also i dont see the end as her taking a chance on Haru or stepping out of her safe space. i saw no indication that she would have acted on her feelings for Haru further if he had not come back to japan and pursued her. At the beginning of the show Aki is waiting for a man and allowing him to dictate her life. at the end of the show Aki is waiting on a man and allowing him to dictate her life. it's just a different man

it's certainly worth a watch. My only real criticism is the lack of development for Aki. Aki's perfectly acceptable but she has no real growth through the entire show. there is also nothing about her character that doesn't directly relate back to a love interest.

even if one concedes the point that this show is 100% about Haru i have trouble believing someone as passionate and motivated as Haru could find lasting happiness with a person like Aki who just lets life happen to her.

Aki serves her purpose in Haru's story and does it well, just wish she could have been a more complete character.

i will always love you, and several other of the lesser known Queen songs on the sound track are found on The album "Made in Heaven" which was the last studio album Freddie Mercury worked on. at the time he knew he was dying. So when you listen to the album and bear that in mind it's quite profound.

notice i said netflix instant play. this was back when their main service was still mailing people actual DVDs. Netflix has been around since 1997. we used to LOVE getting those red envelopes in the mail.

i guess "over priced" is a matter of opinion. i know lots of users who would gladly pay 35 or more a year to help maintain and grow this wonderful website and the unique community we've been able to create here. it's a truly special thing.

that gold thing on the cover looks like a golden Dalek.

i do not see how either woman fell for Yoo Jae Hak. sure he's got a pretty face and money but he is presented as a great guy and a wonderful person. i'm on episode 10 and can't see that he's ever been anything other than selfish and obtuse, even in the flashbacks.

the characters are all very interesting....so why is this drama so dull?

i never even started it. kdrama has dropped the ball on the crime genre recently.

you might have an idea in your head of what a "weak" ending means but that has nothing to do with my article and my comments had nothing to do with the romantic pairing but the way in which the time travel plot was resolved.

the resolution is poorly thought out, poorly explained and just plain ol' bad story telling.

if you are so narrow minded that you wont watch something you wanted to b/c you read something into my words that just isnt there that is on you.

i make a point of not speaking unless i know what i'm talking about. i think part of the problem on this planet is that more people don't at least try to follow the same rule.

you are creating a false equivalence between personal taste and moral imperative or net social outcomes.


if the question is are these things (criminality or fighting in a war) enjoyable ? then there is no right answer b/c there are people who do find it enjoyable and you can't tell them it's impossible for them to enjoy it just because you don't. that is personal taste.

if the question is are these activities morally correct, you get into a grey area. some would say there are unjust laws that criminalize perfectly moral activities. some would say there are moral reasons for fighting in a war, like stopping genocide. that is moral imperative.

if the question is do theses of these activities effect societies and populations in an overall positive or negative way we can generally say the net social outcome is not good but again there are people who would argue the point that sometimes negative short term outcomes are necessary to secure more positive long term outcomes. that is net social outcome.
