it's called a discussion. you are one of four people i have responded to. disagreeing with some one is not attacking them. unlike you i haven't insulted any of the other users or instructed them to go kill themselves. you obviously don't like what i have to say, aggressively so, and you're entitled to your opinion.
you are also entitled to your narrow view of what makes a rapist. the fact that he did not succeed in forcing himself on this girl this time is only relevant to what crime he can be charged with. failing doesn't make him a better person.
dispelling ignorance about sexual assault and shining a light on how poorly it is dealt with around the world seems like a fantastic use of my time to me
This comment section makes me realize how gross, ignorant and dramatic korean drama fans actually are. Y’all…
i agree that the death wishes are certainly waaaay over board. i wonder, however, if you would feel that sexual assault is simply a "human mistake" if it happened to you or someone you love.
we can focus on rehabilitation instead of punishment when sexual predators stop getting away with their crimes.…
what do you think would have happened to that girl if no one stopped him? i can use the term sexual predator if you like.
yea, it's fantastic that one guy who pretty much got caught red handed is being investigated and has admitted his wrong doing. how sad is it that being caught and admitting it is what it takes for a victim to be taken seriously? we treat no other crimes that way.
how is rehabilitation going to help when only a small fraction of offenders are ever convicted. you can't rehabilitate sexual predators when the over whelming majority or never reported, prosecuted or convicted. we have to be able to convict them first.
Well he was an up and rising actor. His acting career is probably over now. I know that drinking alcohol is part…
i've said this on the feeds, but i'll say it again.
there is no amount of alcohol on the planet that suddenly turns you into a rapist. if you try to force yourself on a woman when you're drunk you WILL do it when you're sober.
Hopefully he gets charged, convicted but I'm not sure about this mob justice we constantly see... he didn't rape…
we can focus on rehabilitation instead of punishment when sexual predators stop getting away with their crimes. if you live somewhere where sexual assault is even prosecuted you have a less than 10% chance of the perpetrator getting ANY jail time at all. that's 10% of the small fraction that get reported, not 10% of all assaults.
we all make mistakes..just because yours isn't publicized like his does not make you a saint!...please be considerate…
stop being mean to the rapist?
No.
You don't dismantle rape culture by being polite to predators. precedent suggests if he gets any legal punishment it will be laughable. losing his fame and having people say mean things about him is nothing less than what he deserves.
The story of a woman warrior who took the place of her aging father is more important than the music in this upcoming…
while most scholarly sources agree it is almost impossible to entirely discount the idea that Mulan was a real person since the tale was originally written down (it is believed to have sprung from an older, oral tradition) as a ballad in a text that no longer exists, (we know this b/c the oldest text we do find it in cites this older source) other clues strongly suggest that this tale is most likely just a legend.
oral traditions are good for conveying ideas, but often specifics become distorted over longe periods of time. Also the ancient Chinese were obsessive keepers of records. you find no mention of Mulan where you might expect to if she were a real person, and you do find her in places you might expect to find legendary figures.
there is speculation that the character was loosely based on of the wives of a Shang dynasty king, but there's not contemporary proof for that either.
ok, so here's just a little FYI for all the folks dying to see this show.
i have been able to find no official announcement that Netflix bought the rights to the show. if you can find it, please provide a link. in fact the only evidence of this seems to be people 's assumptions since they can't find English subs available in the US and a few other regions. well, that and people repeating what others have said. again no official announcement and no k-entertainment website reporting this.
in the past when Netflix has bought the rights to currently airing shows if you searched the show's title on the Netflix data base a page would come up with info and a poster but no episodes. When you search both the korean and international titles Pretty Noona who buys me food/ something in the rain you get nothing.
that being said if you just can not wait and dont mind doing something slightly illegal you can always DL a VPN and watch it on viki.
i've not read the manga so dont know what "parrot stuff" you refer to but her bird is almost a non-factor . less than 3 minutes of the entire movie is her directly interacting with the bird and i'd say around 5 minutes total have anything to do with the animal's existence at all.
the synopsis makes mention of her going around with a parrot on her shoulder but that's not in the movie. 98% of his very limited screen time he's in the cage.

flirting doesn't involve threats and weapons. assault does.
you can defend his actions all day long but it is a fact that sexual predators do not stop unless outside forces stop them, they only escalate.
good men do not force themselves on women and trying to do so is just as despicable as succeeding in doing so.
