everytime one of these chaebols gets kicked out in drama land they are suddenly broke. Boy, you are an executive at a major company, if everything belongs to the company and you didnt pay for any of it what the hell have you been doing with your pay checks all this time?! you should be flush
i dont know if you've noticed but there is a culture here on MDL that discourages any kind of criticism. i know…
it's the internet, not everyone is going have something worthwhile to say, but a lot of them have grown up with social media so they THINK everything they have to say is worthwhile even if it lacks substance.
however i have known of many incidents (and been on the receiving end of quite a few) where users who expressed substantive negative views about this or that actor/ entertainer/ drama got jumped by angry fans. it happens on the feeds, in the forums and in the comment pages of dramas and reviews and it probably carried out by the same folks that think "omg this drama is boring AF" constitutes a review.
if it's not your think, it's not your thing, that doesnt make it bad.
I'm honestly getting bored with all of these "articles" where people list all the dramas they dropped or the dramas…
i dont know if you've noticed but there is a culture here on MDL that discourages any kind of criticism. i know this b/c of the 3 " dramas i didnt like" articles that have been published in recent memory i have written the other 2. the review system had to be changed for crying out loud b/c people who gave negative reviews were being harassed. if you say "this plot was weak" or "that actor phones it in" people get ANGRY.
it is important to foster an environment where users feel comfortable giving criticism. frankly a lot of us are here to have discussions, involving many different view points, and not just gushing.
you're critiquing the author b/c her article isnt to your preference. how is that any different than what she's doing? yes there are a few things that i personally would not have said but it's not my article.
i've seen mary stayed out all night 5 times so i'm not here to judge anyone's preferences. these kinds of articles are popular. again, i know b/c i've published 2 and they got significantly higher traffic than other more overtly positive articles. there is an audience for it, maybe just not you. if we apply your logic about negative thoughts on dramas to negative thoughts on articles should you have just kept your thoughts to yourself and only commented on things you liked? of course not. that would be silly.
Wow. I almost dropped this article after reading #1. But seriously, IMO Chicago Typewriter was one of the best…
i've given CT multiple chances b/c of the good reviews. i find the lead characters extremely unlikable. life is too short to waste on dramas you arent enjoying.
I'm glad I didn't bother with the ones I didn't see. I still don't understand why so many people loved Chicago…
Lee Jong Suk is charming and what he does, he does well. i am beginning to wonder though just how much longer it's going to take for people to get tired of it.
I dropped.Reunited Worlds- so boring. And the female lead. Oh. My. Gosh. She is so awkward. And the second male…
i just decided after i published this to drop reunited worlds. the only thing i liked about it is looking at Yeo Jin Goo.
strongest delivery man didnt make the list b/c i didnt give it enough of a chance to say i dropped it. the only thing i likes was the 2nd male lead. i got spoiled on his story line and decided it wasnt for me. glad i didnt waste the time.
i will address FFMY in my next article about the shows i completed this year.
I agree with everything except Chicago Typewriter... if you would have stuck around you would have seen Yoo Ah…
he was gorgeous in all the past scenes i saw, like dayum boy this is illegal. i really wanted to watch more but every time i turned it on i got annoyed in 5 minutes and turned it back off.
wew, i thought i was the only one who hasn't finished Chicago Typewriter. every one of my mdl friends are raving…
i waited until it was done airing to try CT. something about it made me reluctant even though it sounded like a slam dunk.
apparently lots of people havent finished CT. you dont see a lot of people admitting to not liking something so popular around the site though. some folks get mad idk why.
Love your article, list and bravery! I had some slight differences where i watched but should have dropped. I'm…
like Lee Jong Suk, Go Ah Ra really has one character she plays over and over again. i commend her for attempting to step out of the box with Hwarang but it did not go well. the character was not well written but the PDs should have cast someone who could actually pull off the more emotional scenes.
i tend to stay away from doctor shows too. whether b/c of the sensors or stylistic choices the surgeries and injuries always end up looking so fake it's laughable. even in high budget shows they look like they are operating on wax pulled back from nerf balls covered in straw berry syrup.
if someone puts in 4 or more hours on a drama i think it's safe to say they've tried the steak and didnt like it.
i think steak is disgusting.
my husband loves it.
neither of us is wrong

CT and RTDK seem to be the two on this list the the majority of people really liked.
love the humor
