i was totally prepared for him to fall short of the role (acting wise) but i am plesantly surprised. he even did well in the scene where the bossman was beating him up and trying to bury him. it wasnt the great portrayal of terror i've ever seen but it was believable and it suited the tone of the show.

anyone else notice the srink lady is only ten years younger than the guy who is suppposed to be her father?

since they are showing some of JJ's tats and not others i got the feeling that it was morea bout how well the particular tat fit the character. some of jj's tats are a little too upbeat for the character he's palying.

watched Ep1 tonight. the main girl looked so famillar but i just couldnt place her. my husband heard me muttering about it and pipes up from the other room "She's from the one where they work in the mall and the two girls are fighting over the same guy. and that other one where she played the chick's best friend" i watch so much drama my husband is starting to recognize the actors! :{

she lives her life and excels at her career in an industry and society that has institutionalized sexism and chauvanism on a massive scale. maybe now that she is a grown woman she realizes just how awful the message of ISWAK really is and no longer wants to take part in telling asian girls that it's alright for a man to treat you like dirt as long as he's attractive and kisses you every once in a while.

oh Shunji. he's actually one of my favorite villans, simply because of his complete mental break down. watching his ridiculous unraveling from episode to episode kept me coming back, esp later in the series when other elements of the show were faltering.

I haven't started this User But I'm reallY looking forward too it bc I Loved my queen. I'm hoping this version can imProve upon some of my queens flaws

my step daughter is absolutely bonkers about the anime, i havent watched it yet though.

i was actually LOVING it then episode nine happened and now i dont even know if i can finish it.

one thing the drama hasnt shown was the lead up to the implossion. she busted her ass for four years before she finally snapped and left, but they've only shown the time right before the divorce in any detail, except the short flashback where she tells him to invent free messaging, in which, i think she seemed pretty on board. they did have conversations about the future, but then he went and decided on his own. i've been married for ten years. there comes a time when you dont get to follow your bliss at the expense of your family. i dont think her actions were passive aggressive at all. that was pretty straight forward agression. she's obviously angry and she's really clear as to what it is she's angry about. if after all that and all thier hardships he needs her to say "i cant take this anymore or i'll leave you" then he's just being selfish, even if he doesnt mean to be.

he reminds me of lee min ki, esp the cameo he did in shut up flower boy band

to answer the question, can you love and hate someone at the same time? i think a better way to describe the situation in this drama is that you can love someone and hate what they put you through. he sees what his actions are doing to her, he knows she's miserable, she tells him and he keeps doing it, for FOUR years. think about that. think what you would do if for four years you struggled miserably barely scraping by, not because you HAD to but b/c your husband chose that path. no matter how much you loved him it would be very easy to hate what he was doing to you.

to address some of the earlier comments !!!SPOILERS!!!

the answer to why she was suddenly angry is answered by Ae Ra herself. of course she's bitter than after busting her ass to the point that it caused a miscarriage he's sucessful and she's still trying to dig out of a hole HE dug for them, but then she finds out that the company was founded the day of (or after i forget) the divorce. go back and watch. she says a few times that she's convinced he knew he had the investor and just didnt tell her. that he let her do all the hard work and once it paid off he just let her leave.

also, i think you guys are thinking too much into the miscarriage. it might have been why she decided on the divorce, but i think she chose not to tell him to make the leaving simpler.it's over and done and nothing can change that, why tell him?

she really does do a great job

unfortunatly once you forget to click the spoiler box there really isnt a way to undo it, you have to report it as a spolier and wait for an admin to do something about it.

i'm not sure about japan but one of the vlogs i watch quoted a study that found in korea single mothers are discriminated against more than any other group. i'm not sure what country you are from but there was a time in most european countries when having a child out of wedlock was looked down upon. it has to do with the sexual revolution and feminist movements, which really dont seem to have hit most parts of asia in the same way it hit the west.

i'm watching it in fits and starts.i'm on episode 30 some odd and i gotta say i stand by earlier statements that unless Soo Hyuk goes full on Shunji Spiral and kills some one Yoo Jung has just been too good a wife for me not to hate her when she ditches him fo Moo Yeol.
