Hey guys, quick question: is it drama for marathon*, or is it better to watch one by one*? It sometimes makes…
for me the only time you *need* to watch a drama in marathon mode is when the waiting isnt worth what you're getting out of it. Flower boy ramyun shop for example is much improved by a marathon. i recently finished watching unemployed romance and would have much rather been done with the thing in a matter of days than the ten weeks i spent waiting for the episodes to air. i dont think any drama ever suffered from being watched in marathon mode, not for me any way.
Judging by this article I can see why some people (me included) give Taiwanese romcoms a wide berth. I saw a little…
down with love is my favorite t-drama. i've watched it twice. office girls is really good too, but the end gets kinda meh. i also highly reccomend sunny happiness (check out my review) and Mars. Mars is actually on hold for me right now b/c i'm very picky about video quality and i cant find a good vid any where, which isnt surprising given that it's almost ten years old.
Hey! thnx for the article I had dropped Just You because of the bad reviews, do you recommend that I watch it…
if you watched some of it and dropped it b/c you were bored or just didnt like it then no i wouldnt reccomend picking it back up. it is what it is and i can't say it gets any better or that anything changes

in time with you is a solid show. i liked it. in general i find that both c and t dramas arent everybody's thing. a long time ago i wrote an article warning that you should never start a drama noob on anything in mandarin. Puff doesnt have a lot of experience so i hope that one day her skill will rise to the level of her cuteness.
I think I am the only person who didn't like Just You. I know that taiwanese actresses normally act like that…
Puff was more like a cartoon character. in taiwanese idol dramas i have found that the acting style is one of amplified emotion. amplified happiness, amplified surprise ect. and of course like any genre there are people who are good at it and people who are bad at it. Puff is bad at it.
I can't believe I am still watching this train wreck, even if I do just speed watch it.
i'd wait til it's done airing, that way you dont have to wait for episodes that you're probably not going to watch most of any way. normal people can only take talk about freakin milk for so long.
Great Reviews, thank you!
So you do not recommend MHIYD?
i'll give you the same advice i gave another MLDer, watch until epsidoes 8 or 9 and then just imagine the best plot forward you can and enjoy that save yourself the aggrivation.
Well, I've seen all of these. And the worst one was definitely 7th Grade Civil Servant, they kinda acted like…
unfortunately reply 1994 was not finished airing by the time the article went out. i was going to include monstar though i didnt watch it but even after reading the thread and comments i just didnt have a good enough feel for it. maybe when i finsih all the "official" year in review articles i'll do a "what didnt make it in" article :P
i included I hear your voice and Marry him if you dare b/c they werent mentioned in the supernatural article and i felt they deserved a mention, though for different reasons. in the interest of talking about as many dramas as possible i try not to repeat stuff that's already been covered.
I Hear Your Voice is a weird show to be placed as romcom. Whatever it is, it is one of my top favourites for the…
i find that often in k-drama it's the shows that arent trying to be overtly funny all the time that are the funniest. IHYV also suceeded where many other dramas this year failed (i'm looking at you 7th grade civil servant) and that is the balance. the show had comedy and romance along side some really dark messed up stuff and it all balanced really well and it never felt like you were wathcing two different dramas the way i did with 7GCS or Who are you
