they will make profit from selling more ads. for a very long time that is how EVERYONE in the televised entertainment business made money. back before the advent of cable all tv was free to the end consumer. if this move brings them even some j drama licenses they will recieve a huge boost in ad revenue potential. there are lot of fans out there just waiting for j dramas with better picture quality and faster more reliable subbing, which viki is sure to provide.

these are your opinions. to me the whole thing is like listen to music that's out of key.

it has a problem finding the balance b/w the serious/light stuff. there are moments that are funny that are not supposed to be.it throws off the tone. Taec. struggles to match the tone of the actors and events around him. he and Shi On might as well be on two different shows.there is also a whole lot going on that really doesnt need to be. 85% of the 1st 4 epi was poorly concieved,convoluted and has had little impact on where the show is going exposition or character development. the story line with gunwoo's father for example, was a very bad choice, both from a director's and a writers view. the director should consider what his actors are capable of.Teac.was doing a servicable job with the lighter emotions.he was set up to fail. the same same result (plotwise)could have been achieved with simpler methods. you dont want clutter when you tell a story.

that is my biggest complain about my hulu, i pay $10 a month and still have to watch their reptative commericals? booo.

on dramafever, even when you dont watch the HD, the picture quality for the totally free service is still leaps and bounds better than you get on alot of ad free streaming sites. i just rewatched autumn's concerto on dramafever. the 1st time i watched it i streamed it from dramacrazy. i dont pay for the hd but still, the difference in quality was amazing.

i agree with sky. steaming w/ads has worked well for sites like hulu and dramafever. they are profitable. viki will only become more so if they start streaming japanese dramas since they would be one of the few sites doing so legally. personally the commercials dont bother me.

i'm crossing my fingers for more jdramas too. right now there really isnt a legal way to watch them.

it should be good. from a story stand point there is no reason that this drama should suck as badly as it does. it's like a highschool production of hamlet, it's not the story that sucks it's the execution.

so, they blur out the knife blades but it's perfectly fine to show ilsuk stab that poor girl ten times and watch her die? after the 1st two i was sure they would cut away, but no, they showed the whole thing.

yea, if that bothers you t-drama might not be for you :)

actually, this might not be a bad idea since the last half of the drama was so needlessly angsty and draggy.

you are the only other person i've ever know to have read it! YAY!!!!i'd love to see an anime version of the 2nd book.

i'd be all for howls moving castle. for those of you who dont know, howl's moving castle is loosely based on a short novel of the same name by Diana Wynn Jones. i adore both versions equally though 80% of the plot was completely changed for the anime and several of the charcters were changed as well. Howl's apprentice for example, a boy of about 10 named Markel in the anime, is actually a young man named Michael. if you like the anime i highly suggest the book, at only 200 pages it's a quick read and my all time favorite book.

really love the show! but am i the only one who is totally skeeved out by the younger sister and the boss dude? when grown men are romantically attracted to women who look/behave like they are twelve i just find it gross!

i think dean is trying to get qi yi and liang liang together by prodding qi yi into admitting his feelings for liang liang.

nothing has exploded yet and there has been minimum screaming. it has it's moments but it's one of the more toned down t-dramas i've seen.

i didnt even notice it was lighter.

i think the sudden look of youth has something to do with the hair. in other roles i have seen it was up and mostly back away from her face. i think the hair around her face softens her features some. so far this is my favortie performance.

you have to give the woman some credit. she has pretty much made a career out of whining and pouting and being pitiful. by the end of pasta if i had to hear her mewl "neh chep" one more time i might just have lost it. in this she's still moaning and pouting but for once it seems to fit.

for me it's not so much that she's reacting it's the way the actress is doing it. it's very middle school drama club/scooby doo haunted mansion.
