i find her performances flat and insincere. she can cry, sure, but when she does it feels like a robot doing it, like she has no ability to connect to that emotion.

i found her character here to be all events, things that happened to her. they had plenty of time to explore the character, to get to know her beyond the generic trope of "bad things happened to her so now she's traumatized and mean" but they just chose not to.

with Dr.Stranger i think the sentiment was less about the SFL being so fantastic and more about the FL being played by a terrible actress who had a string of poorly received performances leading up to DS. when you combine a bad actress with a poorly written role, it's not surprising that audiences turned to the SFL.

in the US (and most places with laws regarding an intoxicated person's ability to consent) a person simply being drunk doesn't render that person legally incapable of consenting. in the situation shown here Fuse is not too drunk to legally consent. he's awake, he knows what's going on around him and has a coherent conversation. he's coordinated enough to stand on his knees and take off his shirt.

now imagine a person who was so drunk they couldn't do any of that. what are the odds, do you think, of that person being able to get to, start and drive a car? that's why you are held responsible if you kill someone driving drunk in the US. driving requires an amount of cognition and coordination that a person too drunk to legally consent to sex doesnt have.

characters have romantic feelings but that's not what the show is about.

hope you find it as enjoyable as i did

i didnt find it scary at all but i don't normally find Asian TV shows scary. there were a few shorts moments of "ew, gross" but that's about it.

that new to asian dramas glow will lead you to some questionable dramas that's for sure, many of them do not stand the test of time or experience but there's nothing wrong with loving them while you can :)

i've tried to watch every incarnation of this that has been made and find them all equally awful, sometimes for different reasons.

i think it was probably in the 1st 10 or so i watched. i don't know how i finished it. Baek Seung Jo is aggressively douchey and i can not imagine any girl being interested in that.

honestly i never found anything likable in the FL's character.

the only one on this list i got no enjoyment from was playful kiss. that was just terrible.

i don't think she has an eating disorder either, i think that she is pressured to maintain an unhealthy weight to peruse her career.

i don't know if she was ill or in an accident but that doesn't make sense as the reason for her weight loss. she wasnt suddenly very skinny. she got steadily skinnier over time. she has not recovered and regained weight. she is a very similar weight to other Chinese actresses.

yea, if you look at pics of her from her debut you see that she is at a healthy weight. as her career progressed she got skinnier and skinnier until you see her in Love 020 and she looks very unhealthy. dieting to be that thin is dangerous.

i think maybe Ree is trying to say that it was not clear that your "just die" comment was a joke , and that many people would take it at face value.

i have a 13 yo daughter. i have purposely restricted her social media access b/c science has shown that exposure to social media as a young person effects brain development and function. it also leads to higher incidents of depression. i think it's time for those of us who were already pretty much formed before social media became prevalent to acknowledge to harm it does to young people.

My father spoke to the chief of police who happened to be another one of our neighbors. i was only 9 or 10 at the time so i'm not entirely sure what actions the adults took but after a few weeks it stopped. the family only stayed in the house about a year.

these performers are marketed as products not people. as long as there is demand there will be a supply. if change is to happen you have to address the demand for perfect idols and celebrity drama.

you also have to address what creates a person who is so damaged that they go on the internet and engage in this type of behavior. you also have to address the fact that social media is designed to effect brain function and development.
