As a fan of the anime..I’m disappointed. I know that it’s a movie but the ML and FL are so cringe and exaggerated in their acting that they ruined the story for me. Their acting is overshadowed by the supporting characters.What were they thinking?! I want to forget this live action exists.

But then..I remember that I had ikemen boys..Mackenyu and Kei and end up not regretting as much..

This is my personal opinion after watching 7 episodes. If people rate it 10 after that, I can say whatever is on my mind as well..it could become better or not..at this point is overhyped.

From my point of view..it’s because he’s in it. It’s not a bad series per se, but not as good as the rating suggests..more around an 7-8ish mark if I’m generous. Maybe it will get better after a few more episodes but for now, I feel that it’s too overhyped.

Just finished the 7th episode and don’t get the high rating. I know that everyone is watching it for Sean Xiao but the series isn’t THAT good to deserve 9.1.. I could say that he pretty much hard carries it as his character is the most interesting and the one who keeps evolving and at a fast rate but he can be a bit childish. Other than that the FL is a hit or miss as she’s a bit over the top in her actions and decisions while the villains and supporting characters don’t offer much.

Comparing this version with the other available ones..it’s really lacking visually and I’m not talking about the actors but the CGI and characters costumes, fighting scenes, in game options, etc .. Is this a low budget series? I will continue to watch it but I’m really really disappointed.

After 5 episodes in, all I can say is that it captured my attention. I like wuxia but tend to get bored easily but this series has short episodes and an interesting plot.

Also, quite a surprise to see Calvin Chen in such a role...

I did watch it as Seo Jun is my favorite character. I’m just waiting for the last episodes. I don’t regret starting it either as I also liked the bromance and Soo Jin is an interesting character..You could say I was more invested in the Seo Jun/Suho relationship rather than who got the girl..

I didn’t want to start this series as I had no hope for Seo Jun after watching spoilers and these days I don’t want him to get the girl as she doesn’t appreciate him..all she ever cares about is Soo Ho. Poor baby, come to me, I’ll take care of you..he’s such a precious soul..

So this series is NOT following the webtoon? I’m gonna skip then as both in the snips of webtoon and the videos I’m seeing on youtube, I like Seojun. Thanks for the spoiler. Too bad as it seemed fun..Suho is not my cup of tea..

I can’t start this drama until I find out who she actually ends up with. I feel like my heart might suffer of 2nd lead syndrome

A lot of people seem to like this series but I just couldn’t take it seriously since the plastic operation and memory loss.. For me, it just lost it’s charm as the actress which was on screen for just a few moments was more believable than the one which continued the series until end.

What did I even watch?!..annoying how an idea which could’ve created a dark, true and serious series about how wives are treated behind perfect family portraits transformed into such a makjang mess.

I also cannot accept as normal behaviour violence (cultural values or not). The punishment for it was only a slap on the wrist as well. Ridiculous.

I was also watching Under the power, Hyena and rewatching What’s up fox. I usually start at least 2 or 3 series at the same time so I don’t drop series. If I get bored of something I will watch a few episodes of something else and then continue..I tend to rewatch series after a few years so who knows, I might find it more enjoyable when I will rewatch it, might have more patience with it then.

Anyway, from my point of view Xu Kai’s best series from the ones I saw until now remain Military Academy and The Legends. Hopefully I will find another one I like as much as those two as I continue to remain his fan even if the later series didn’t impress me.

After so many many years, I finally found this series again and rewatched it. I don’t understand why it has such a low score as it’s an absolutely classic. A must watch I would say for whoever is interested in older series..It tells the story of couples with a higher age difference and other taboo subjects which might be considered too embarassing otherwise. A raw representation of life in another time.

It’s a slow process to be translated..I found that only 4eps are translated so I’m going to wait until I start it.

The guy is basically considered a family member as her mother welcomed him and his sister in their home after their parents died (she says so herself). He can go in and out as he wants. Rather than breaking in, he was just hiding so they don’t see him dirty and unshaved and worry about him.

The only issue I thought he had was that he gave in and slept with Byung Hee while she was confusing him with someone else.

See the thing is, while the series was enjoyable, for me, it just couldn’t keep me 100% invested which is a shame. It really had potential and the fact that I was watching much better series at the same time didn’t help either.

YES, it has a happy ending but be advised that compared with other wuxia series, this one is quite lite.

Rather than focusing on a plot development or character growth, it’s more of a rom-com teen drama. Like being part of a detective club and solving crimes with your friends. The villains aren’t truly scary and the conflicts aren’t intense.
