Sounds quite like The Story of Minglan! Whatever I'm interested in everything with intelligent female lead.
It sounds more like Chongfei Manual from the synopsis..and if they follow its story, we’ll have a great drama series as that book was lit. Same as Minglan, Wei Luo is really strong, intelligent and quite vengeful. Wei Luo is one of my favourite female badass characters.
Ok, I absolutely love James, but damn this series was bad. I had to force myself to finish it.
But I can see improvement in these later years, it wasn’t as cringy and as many screams as normal..just a boring plot. Also, there was little to no chemistry.
This series was absolutely frustrating. I don’t think I was so disappointed in a FL in a while..I wanted to shake her so she actually damn matures and owns her shit.
I don’t know if Gao Jie was naive, manipulative or plain stupid. Did she actually think that she could hide forever the truth from him, a guy who was sincere, told her that he had trust issues and how her aunt was his enemy.
She will say that he comes first but do something stupid and Yu Zhu, like a totally in love puppy will forget his hurt and come back. Smitten by his love at first sight, for the woman he pledged to marry, will forgive her and return. Again and again, all in the name of fated love.
Like girl, smell the roses, you f uped, own it and make up for it. She’s giving up quite easily while he still helps although she technically hurt him again. I’m not saying that what he did at the engagement party was fine, because he was well overboard but really now..I would’ve probably ended it well before that.
Quite ridiculous that at the end she’s the one still refusing to go back to him because he didn’t trust and put her first ONCE.
Selfish, weak minded and a true damsel in distress who will go and scream in people faces and cry at the same time about the unfairness of things. She expects for people to drop everything and help her.. if not Yu Zhi, then Si Cheng. One of them have to be there and clean up her mess.
And same as his brother, Yu Yi drops all and gets in trouble for his love Gao Hui.
This is a series about masochistic men and their selfish love interests.
I already watched because of meeting you and I am planning to watch this. Is there a kid involved?
No kid is involved and this series doesn’t come even close to Because of meeting you.
The only similarities I found is that the FL is quite innocent and easily to take advantage of and that her step sister is evil and spoiled ( she wants things to go her way, she will stop at nothing to hurt FL).
Don’t bother with this series as it has way too many episodes for what little action it has.
Repetitive storylines, stupid decisions blamed on trust, family connections and love and its full to the brim with cliches.
I usually choose what to watch randomnly from my list and after reading the summary, I had really low expectations, so it really took me by surprise on how eager I was to watch episode after episode to know how our hero will be save the day..
I’ve watched Alice in other dramas and I knew what she was capable of but the guys were on par as well, I want to see them in other series now.
Greg Hsu is a name I will remember to follow after this series..wishing him more main roles in the future..
Nothing spectacular. Another series that will get pushed over time by much better and emotional ones. The story was interesting at first but got boring a few episodes in..
First of all, before you start watching it, you seriously need to know the background story as it can be quite confusing otherwise..
Also, we’re talking about not even 2 hours of screen time so cut it some slack, it’s normal that a lot of scenes were cut and there’s not much to work with.
All that considered, they integrated most of the important scenes and reduced to a minimum of characters to make the story still plausible. A lot of favorite secondary characters and subplots are missing completely and it was expected.
I could’ve gone without watching the animated versions of the fairies living in Qing Qiu and which animals they represented as it felt very Disney-like but I did like to see our main character properly represented. Another thing I wasn’t a fan of, were the clothing of the supporting characters, quite over the top and visually heavy.
I guess a lot of people just got overly attached to the story in 10 miles and its main actors and cannot see past that or apreciate the effort of others to create a different setting for this nice story and this is the main reason for which this movie is heavily criticised as, it’s quite not that bad.
So open your mind and give it a chance..you will be surprised by the chemistry of the two main actors.
It has a bit of romance but it’s frustrating and the series doesn’t present it well. It lacks the raw emotion and turmoil of the manga. Nothing memorable about this series so I recommend to skip it.
I should have waited a bit. Starting season 2 immediatelly after the first one was a big mistake.
For the whole series I was trying to get used to the new female actresses. The re-filmed scenes were too much for me and confusing. Couldn’t get into the “new” couples although they were visually better and had more chemistry.
It was a struggle to finish as I got bored after the first episodes and I didn’t like the storyline or characters.
Absurd and quite wtf unbelievable at times. Has all cliches you could think off. Has stiff acting and misunderstandings. Yet I still watched all of it and want to see the 2nd season as well. What is wrong with me?!
The men are pretty so at least the title is accurate.

Only positive I found was that the ML was cute.

I find it quite fascinating that the 3 people which survived the ordeal now have trauma.
The girlfriend didn’t say the whole truth about what she saw and heard.
The policewoman, after realising who’s the real killer, starts to “see” Moon Jo suggesting that she will hide the truth as well.
Jong Wu “became” Moon Jo as he found pleasure in killing.
