Haven’t seen Eternal love of dream yet. Was planning to watch it after I finish Ming Lan. They were not my favourite characters as I’m not a fan of Dilraba’s acting, but I’m still curious.
Out of everything all I will remember will be the cute ML and SML, especially the cheeky smile of the ML. I will look out for both actors.
FL was quite annoying with all the screaming and hitting. I would’ve understood her more if she was a strong character but she is not. She wanted to be respected as a heroine yet she always got into trouble and would’ve died if not saved by others. She basically couldn’t do anything by herself. About the actress I can’t say much as I need to see her in another series as in this one MY EARS hated her so much.
I felt a bit that some pairings were forced just for the sake of it (Jin & that girl), some characters made no sense and other characters just disappeared although they were part of the main crew..
But I will give them credit as they tried their best..

Couldn’t agree more. The only satisfying thing about the whole series is the scene where he is finally “loved back”. Also the ending was shit so it’s better that you stopped where you did.
I don’t understand how they managed to f up such a promising series..after ep 20 I basically forced myself to see it to the end as I was so close to the finish. Good main actors but the story was a pile of shit.
I kept thinking that the ML looked familiar but couldn’t remember where I saw him before. Clicked on his profile and found out he was the reason to finish watching An Oriental Odyssey, my sexy Mu Le. So happy to see him again. Only saw 4 episodes of this series but it’s quite good until now.
I love Deng Lun but this series was really really really bad. The forced comedy, the constant background laughing, quite cringe scenes. Watched this because I’m a fan of both Deng Lun and Sun Yi but I would like to pretend that such drama never existed in the first place.
Thank god that he moved on from such series. I wouldn’t recommend anyone such disaster.
Rather than watching this version, go for 2005 one. I love Roy Chiu but this series is not worth it. He has better series you can watch.
About the Taiwanese one, while quite old, I still remember a lot of scenes from it, like it was yesterday. Can be considered as one of the classics before the drama boom. It was really popular at the time as well.
I had the same issue as you but I gave it a chance in the end. They made it more as bromance rather than BL. Once you start you become so immersed in the story that you don’t realise how many episodes you have watched in one go. The main characters are so different and so complex that you just can’t get enough of watching them interact. If you are a fan of adventure type of wuxia go for it. This is more of a story about Wu Xian, who he met and what made him the person who he is now.
Not even that but the whole series was horrible.
It lacked consistency, the ML was going for Dong Hua vibes but was not even close, the FL was annoying and the supporting characters boring.
The directors should learn how to do better dramas in the future because compared to season 1, this series is a flop.
And you should learn to accept that not everyone shares your options..
