Part 1 April-May and May never comes back.. The 1st cop was too obsessed on eating cans of pineapples for one month and trusting that love will come back to him that he gets pulled into wasting his life away. Obsession and a lost sense of reality..you can see how fragile the human mind is and how hope can be devastating if you project it over a lost cause. What was the point in the end? You could say that everything has an expiration date.
The fact that the two men look so similar creates confusion when the story transitions. Makes you wonder where the obsession comes from..
Part 2 That girl is an absolute psycho. In which world is it OK to move into someone’s place and do all that shit?! More interesting is how the 2nd cop is so out of it, even more then the 1st one, that he doesn’t even realise that things keep changing around him until he actually catches her in his house. That’s the point when he starts to take notice of her and apparently falls for her as well.
Because a girl does it, people see it as fine but if a man did that to a woman it will be seen as absolutely creepy and be frowned upon. In the real world this is stalking and extreme obsession but this is a movie an we have to gulp it down as love.
I’m not sure which story or cop is more f up as they’re both ruined by waiting for love to come back and get even more messed up by meeting “someone new”.
Can I just say how good this dramas has been until now, I’m at episode 18 and it’s so fast paced and fun that…
I’m at episode 29 but this has been on my mind since forever. Am I the only one bothered by Hang Chen Yu/Qing Xuan’s acting? I basically cannot get into his break down scene when he discovers that his master is the villain because he’s quite bad at acting..I know he’s supposed to be silly and innocent to a fault but the dramatic scene just doesn’t touch me at all. I’m absolutely poker-faced waiting for the scene to end.
Now compare that to Allen Ren/ Lu Yi who goes through different age swaps in one episode and the difference in acting skills is quite palpable. I could actually believe that grown ass man has transformed into a cute kid, a dutiful teenager or the perfect killer he had to become..
The cold person that was created, detached and emotionless cracks under guilt of losing his best friend, the death of his most beloved mother and the burden of being compared to his ruthless father..and you can see those emotions on his face or his gestures.
I loved this episode because even vulnerable he trusts Jinxia and she’s the first person he goes to when he becomes scared of something and when back to normal she’s doing menial tasks for him which borderline between maid and wife duties..He absolutely loves messing with her and she now naturally has become his confidant and partner.
I’m starting to skip scenes and this is not good as I’m losing interest with all the palace filler talking and way too much screen time for the second couple. The main villain is absolutely interesting though and at this point him and the couple are my reasons to continue.
Can I just say how good this dramas has been until now, I’m at episode 18 and it’s so fast paced and fun that I cannot stop watching. I do hope I will love it until the end, until now it’s my favourite wuxia of 2020..Seems this year we have been blessed with many good series.
I was so frustrated with FL most of the time..I found her annoying and tiresome. She was supposed to be talented and resourceful but what she showed was recklessness and pure stupidity.
ML understood quite fast that he was in love and wanted to really marry her. FL was too stubborn to admit that she loved him as well, creating more and more useless misunderstandings. She basically had no reason to hide things from him as he promised to resolve all her issues. Yet what happened was that she messed up and he had to clean up in the background.
Another thing that bothered me was that she kept following his brother in law calling him master and spending a lot of time with him causing the poor guy to question his feelings for her while she also kept straining the ML along knowing very well that he liked her. The whole fake baby thing had a lot of moments that weren’t needed.
A change was the fact that his family wasn’t that bad preferring to send people away rather than truly punishing them. If it were a typical historical drama heads would be rolling.
This series was lacking & I questioned myself for having the patience to watch it until the end.
All in all it was watchable but not worth the fuss.
I watched this series because I saw that Off & March were the MLs but wow it was bad..they had no chance to save this sinking ship.
The FL was truly stupid, no doubts there..Her reasons for choosing her future partner prove my point. She had no proper goals, intelligence or notions about what it means to live in the real world. Truly appalling.

It is actually really useful. I will wait it out, let me forget about how much I love the actor and how he played his role and try it again after a few months when the story is not on my mind anymore.

I quite liked the first season. I felt like both male actors were doing a great job & I liked their bromance. Now they changed the actor for Guo De You and I don’t know if I should start the 2nd season..is it worth it?
As much as I liked the first episodes, it just became boring after the 8th episode on..I still finished it as I was already invested in the characters, but really, the struggle was real..Too many side characters in relationships which I could care less about.

ML may be a demon on the battlefield but he’s a puppy in front of his wife. He will do whatever she wants as long as he can be with her.
FL is insecure, reckless & childish. Whatever mess she will create, he comes to save the day.
In the past females would marry at around 15 years old so I understand why she’s childish but she never seems to mature..
