Just saw the first episode and couldn't help myself to check some spoilers. First off it looks like there is a couple. From what I saw in the first episode, I figured it's gonna be the FL Yi Young and Um Jae ending up together. Then I found out she actually ends up with Do Won?
That's kind of surprising to me. I just thought they were siblings because they live together. I thought Um Jae's personally was gonna connect well into the life of Yi Young's personally.
The thing I wished they could have added was flashback scenes of the siblings when they were younger. Maybe even included actors for their parents to brief show their life that teared the family apart after. I would have like to see how Tae Poong and Yoon Joo were abandoned by the siblings and Yoon Joo being separated from her brother.
I thought the whole love story between Ji Suk and Soo Ha dragged so long. It could have used more focus on the family and the bond to bring them back together.
It wasn't better than the first season. Some cases were easier to solve. There might have been a bit too much bombing cases.
Some things I didn't understand. Tadokoro is shown as a mole for the last villain group in the 2nd to last episode. But then she betrays them because she can't kill a person? Why was she working for them anyways? There's a lack of backstory for these characters. They made Katagiri have a girlfriend all of a sudden at the end of the episodes and he was about to marry her until the girl and he father were revealed to be criminals for a case of the week episode. I get it he couldnt be a lone wolf character forever after resolving his gun shooting issues but some of the comedy stuff they gave to his character didn't fit.
Why is Yamamura developing a crush and wants to marry Rika who is probably twice the age younger than him? The big one I've talked about before about why did Toda Erika's character disappear most of the drama only to appear in the first couple/last couple episodes.
The cast is pretty good and the hook to watch season 2. The writing isn't as good here. Nodate and Osawa have the best chemistry in the show and I like that it was more focused on the 2. The bank robbery case my favorite from season 2.
Either I have watched too many mystery police shows, or this drama has done a poor job at making us guess who…
I like the cases where the culprit is silent/ruthless hidden compared to the cases where the culprit is a public figure acting all innocent just waiting for the detective team to find proof.
Yeah they are both bad people. They are basically both mob bosses apart of a gang. The one who has fallen for…
It's clear that Tae Poong and Soo Ha have the better chemistry than Ji Suk and Soo Ha. She even connects well with his son. I'm wondering if they will go the route of Tae Poong refusing to fall in love and end up with Soo Ha because he's Ji Suk's big brother and wants him to be with Soo Ha. Or Soo Ha might be heartbroken over Ji Suk that she doesn't want to go back to him.
The moment Ji Suk took the offer from Chae Rim to accept money from her father to basically be her fiancee, he was stuck. The while main cast family is dealing with money problems. It's probably out of the box and might not make sense, but could there be a miracle where Tae Poong finds a way to earn cash enough to pay off his siblings debts. In this way the other side of his siblings could finally forgive him/open arms to him?
What's gonna be the moments or significant big brother moment fron Tae Poong that reunites the family together. I'm pretty sure he's gonna give one if his kidneys to Yoon Joo for her operation later on.
So far I don't like the 2 guys who are probably gonna end up with the 2 sisters of the drama.
Yeah they are both bad people. They are basically both mob bosses apart of a gang. The one who has fallen for Yoon Joo is such a stalker to her. There's a scene where Yoon Joo collapses and she is rushed to a ambulance but the guy pushes the ambulance driver out and decides to drive it himself because it's for her. If this is supposed to be comedy then you've lost me.
The guy who has fallen for Moon Joo is basically her boss at a club she is forced to work to pay off her debt. If I can recall he has hit/slap her before. What sense does it make for Moon Joo to accept him if she'll be stuck in that business with him which she doesn't like. The same can be said for Yoon Ju for her stalker. Unless these 2 guys do a 360 change to their character, I don't want to see them as the love partners for the sisters.
Ep 1: Kimoto is off the team now!? They even have a replacement for her. She still helped in on the case. I'm…
Ep 4: Ok I just noticed Toda Erika is not in the intro. I just checked on wiki d addicts and she only appears for episodes 1-2 and 9 through 11. Almost like a guest role this season. Now it makes sense why they added a new character replacement on the team or basically 2 new members. It's a bit misleading to anyone who wanted to watch season 2 for Toda Erika only to find out she is basically a guest role. And I still think they should have by now done a episode with the new member Tadokoro trying to fit into the team.
Either I have watched too many mystery police shows, or this drama has done a poor job at making us guess who is the culprit each episode. It's getting obvious by which guest character gets the most screen time each episode.
Ep 1: Kimoto is off the team now!? They even have a replacement for her. She still helped in on the case. I'm curious if they will just have her redeem herself then back onto the team or she's gonna actually work off from them in season 2. I really think they need to do a case/episode focusing on the new girl. Introduce us to her instead of she being a awkward after thought.
I thought at first it was the prosecutor lady from season 1 who is back to save the team but nope. This direction…
Some thoughts I have for season 3 are when Kim Do Ki goes undercover for the victims case, why don't they consider using wigs or fake disguises to freshen it up sometimes. Hope to see new places he goes undercover and no more in a prison.
I was caught off guard seeing Kim So Yeon make a cameo in the final episode. Somehow I guessed it right who the…
I thought at first it was the prosecutor lady from season 1 who is back to save the team but nope. This direction was better. Kim So Yeon nailed her guest character. Like WOW. First ever taxi driver is very interesting maybe we could even see how it all happened. I was hoping this new character was a new taxi driver added to the team. If they ever consider adding one member to the team, a female character is the choice.
I was caught off guard seeing Kim So Yeon make a cameo in the final episode. Somehow I guessed it right who the actress was with the sunglasses on. There is lots of potential for a spin off/drama special to explore her character.
Finished watching and I can now say this was much better than season 1. Big improvement for me was it followed the case per episodes formula throughout. No annoying characters this time. It was noticeable that they toned it down the violence and suspense, it was still a great watch. 9.5/10 for me because the only thing I wished was better was the last case. It didn't feel intense enough to be a finale case for the rainbow taxi team. It felt more like Ha Jun vs the villain instead.
I never understood why they made the MC have a boyfriend who just appeared at the end of each episodes not much of an impact. Then it looked like at the end he was gonna be a criminal after all only for it not to be that way.
Ep 11: Whaaaaat. It was a ploy all along. Nodate wasn't apart of the terrorist organization with his Beach Boy buddy. When they got in the car and he said Boss, I thought it meant Nodate was the boss of that organization. All a ruse to reveal the other guy in the police force to be the suspect after all. smhWell at least Takenouchi Yutaka got to be in on the action for a case. I notice he was casted in the 2nd season and kept thinking how are they gonna get out of this? He "shot" the superintendent and was "shot" killed by Osawa. All to reveal it was a ruse. Then I remembered oh yeah this is drama also has comedy tagged in it.
After taking long break from Jdramas, it feels refreshing to see the male actors in this drama with longer hairstyles or facial hair compared to how during my Kdrama watch streak, it was almost similar looks.
That's kind of surprising to me. I just thought they were siblings because they live together. I thought Um Jae's personally was gonna connect well into the life of Yi Young's personally.
