Thank you so much.Beautiful, detailed and very engaging read. And I must commend you that you strictly limited…
omg I'm so glad you enjoyed it, i was a bit wary about accidentally spoiling too much hence i put it under spoiler but thank god i didn't, I'll try my best to do similar reviews each episode honestly keeps me more engaged haha please do read if you find my comments next episodes 🤭
one detail i absolutely loved that they didn't forget to add in the drama uncut episode is the difference between jet's vs. khemjira's visions of the spirits, during the scene where they were entering khem's apt you can see when jet looks back at the noise that was coming from the opposite unit he sees only black smoke standing infront of the door but it transitions to khem's vision who sees a ghostly woman banging her head instead, that's because even though both of them can see or sense spirits since childhood jet doesn't see any figures anymore because his spiritual third eye has been half closed by pharan (there's a whole back story on it so I'm not gonna spoil a lot hopefully they'll show it in the drama) meanwhile khem still sees them which in ep1 you got to see a young khem refuses to getting his third eye closed by that shaman grandpa because he wishes to see his mother after she passes away even if it meant life long encountering ghostly figures
Is Jet's sister also gifted with some super sensory skills like Jet? It seemed like she knew something was wrong…
yes she is, both jet and his sister are from the same village as pharan they're his disciples, jet can see spirits but pharan closed his spiritual eye so he only sees them in dark shadow form, in the novel jet leaves khem under his sister's care while he goes to his village to get that talisman from his master which we see burning in ep1 that's where we get to know his sister can sense spirits too
thank you so much for writing this down, it must have taken quite some time. i really appreciate it! ☺️ i…
thank you so much for appreciating i thought no one would read I just wrote cuz as a novel reader i thought the ones who didn't read would like to know some details missed out although it took some time I'm glad people found it interesting 🥺
as for the casting it's extremely accurate they've taken every detail into consideration, the most accurate casting would definitely be pharan (he's powerful, cold yet caring) and jet (extremely sassy but protective and fearless), the only thing they changed is the age gap between khem and pharan and also pharan has tons of tatts both on his back and chest but in the drama they made it invisible it only glows when he chants incantations other than that everything is accurate
This would be nice to have after each episode. I really appreciate the added details and info. It is a shame that…
my pleasure i usually don't write reviews but since this is the first time i read a novel pre drama release i couldn't help myself but point some details out as i found it interesting myself how much changes are being made for an adaptation where the author is involved, I'd try to do it more often each episode so if you see my comment under spoiler section please do read 🤭
- little khem saving the dog from the old lady spirit and pharan saving him from it which eventually led them to meet for the first time as kids was not in the novel it was added new - during the bus scene where they were on the way to jet's village where hundreds of spirits swarmed towards the bus it was jet who chanted incantations the whole ride while khem slept since he barely got any because of his nightmares previous night where he almost jumped off the balcony while chan was awake in the back and noticed everything jet was doing, the bus never stopped in a tunnel the driver passed out while the bus was still running it was jet who held the steering wheel and called back the bus driver's spirit and saved them all, later it was revealed that pharan knew about it as his two spirit disciples had notified him that's how he was able to help jet out from afar in his spirit form - the exorcism scene of the village girl chompoo which introduced pharan's character was added new, in the novel khem met him directly in his house - a little detail they left out in ep1, all the volunteer students were divided into staying in ten houses all of which belonged to villagers who possesses magical abilities, it was to protect them from wandering spirits and ghosts from the forest, those villagers are really really sweet and protective towards them they even get emotionally attached to them later - jet is extremely extremely protective towards khem to the point he made it his mission to save him himself by convincing pharan even if he has strict rules to not meddle with karmic debt (yes he did threaten him to leak his phone number to his fangirls in the village lmao) and if he didn't agree he promised khem to do it himself it's a shame they've limited duration so a lot got cut off from ep 1 because they've extremely great platonic chemistry he's almost like khem's mother - when khem stepped foot on the staircase of pharan's house he made eye contact with khem and he immediately had flashbacks from their shared past life, although I've a feeling pharan saw it in ep1 too they just didn't include it in the scene to keep the suspense
anyways that's it for now, also side note pharan's house is so incredibly detailed exactly like how i imagined it in the novel kinda crazy they made it from scratch, also his two twin spirit disciples are soooo adorable didn't expect them to cast udon as one of them he's so cute please look out for them hehe
First episode was great. I watched this during the daytime so it helped curb the horror a bit for me ( cheat code…
dare you to death is comparatively better than the other two translation, the murder scenes are pretty gruesome but it's kinda predictable what happens in the end if you have deep knowledge about thriller and mystery i guess? but either way it did keep me hooked both the characters are well written, romance build up was again rushed but they had good chemistry

oh yep i just got done with dare you to death, me and thee currently reading mr. rome please calm down but the translations are horrible i must give it to the khemjira translator they were the most accurate outta them all i read past few weeks

the novel was actually creepy enough to spook you out despite it being roughly translated I wonder how scary the og thai version actually was pretty sure a lot of the essence was still lost in translation
i saw someone complaining how pharan is so well dressed in a village as a shaman well he's supposed to be super…
exactly my point????!?!? idk i love this version of pharan he's exactly how he's supposed to be young, hot, powerful and oozing with aura they did amazing casting and styling him

yk what's funny i commented this fully thinking i will resist watching it till next week but who was i kidding lmaoo true the horror part was definitely spooky i just don't get scared easily so asked in fear that they didn't make it spooky enough like the novel because if it's not scary I'll end up finding it goofy 😭
guys sorry I'm literally chatting on this page like a gc but I'm so excited that this finally came out i ended up watching ep1 even though i said I'd wait for ep2 lol but i was so impatient since the beginning of pilot trailer that i ended up reading the novel in two days mind you it had like 400+ pages lmaoo but oh my goddd the first ep was done so perfectly??? khem and jet's friendship is exactly how it's described in the novel (jet is my sassy little meow meow my most fave character and firstone is adorbs), the horror portion was mid mostly because I've high tolerance but if you get scared easily it would spook you don't watch at night, pharan is hot HOT straight out of the novel (yes I'm comparing a lot because the author is involved in the production so I've high expectations) overall ep1 was done really well, the cinematography is crisp, cast is perfect and the rookie actors acted way better than i thought they'd nothing cringe so far so hopefully they won't tank midways while developing the storyline
First episode was really nice. Hope the other epsiodes can keep up. Also, Pharan is soooo fine
i saw someone complaining how pharan is so well dressed in a village as a shaman well he's supposed to be super hot according to the novel he's literally famous for his hotness among the village gals herit perfectly fits the role
as for the casting it's extremely accurate they've taken every detail into consideration, the most accurate casting would definitely be pharan (he's powerful, cold yet caring) and jet (extremely sassy but protective and fearless), the only thing they changed is the age gap between khem and pharan and also pharan has tons of tatts both on his back and chest but in the drama they made it invisible it only glows when he chants incantations other than that everything is accurate

- the exorcism scene of the village girl chompoo which introduced pharan's character was added new, in the novel khem met him directly in his house
- a little detail they left out in ep1, all the volunteer students were divided into staying in ten houses all of which belonged to villagers who possesses magical abilities, it was to protect them from wandering spirits and ghosts from the forest, those villagers are really really sweet and protective towards them they even get emotionally attached to them later
- jet is extremely extremely protective towards khem to the point he made it his mission to save him himself by convincing pharan even if he has strict rules to not meddle with karmic debt (yes he did threaten him to leak his phone number to his fangirls in the village lmao) and if he didn't agree he promised khem to do it himself it's a shame they've limited duration so a lot got cut off from ep 1 because they've extremely great platonic chemistry he's almost like khem's mother
