iQiyi once more screwing things up on its YouTube channel and skipping episodes even though we pay for the access. Is there a place where we can watch the complete series without the iQiyi nasty attempts to drive viewers to its app?
Complementing what I posted for part 1, the final couple episodes were great. Nice story and twist. Definitely worth watching. I even raised the previous 8/10 to 8.5/10.
Nice series with a twist about what happens when people commit suicide. I can imagine South Korea worried about this topic since it has the highest global suicide rate. Despite I believe that there's much more beyond the lives we live here, this series' story does not match what I believe, even though I liked the portraied scenario. The production was also very good and some of the music complemented the scenes well. There was very good acting and just passable, but the overall result was very good. So, all in all, it's a series well worth watching. Solid 8/10.
Another great Candle In The Tomb series. I liked that it did not spend a lot of time going through mazes and other stuff. However, some of the scene cuts were not well done and looked bad. Nevertheless, the series was very entertaining and worth watching.
Entertaining series. Reading other comments and reviews explain why there were some "leaps" where things happened very fast and left some gaps. Despite that it was very entertaining. The editors did a good job coping with censorship and keeping the series interesting and viewers interested. Worth watching.
If they did not go so much overboard on the propaganda, this series would have been a lot better. It felt like Rambo movies. Neverthless, a nice series to watch if one feels like watching the Chinese version of Rambo. Acting was all over the place with some good ones and others needing a refresh course in the academy. The production did not spare expenses with all the gear and locations. Good entertainment.
Cool short series. The production was very good for what was probably a low-budget drama. Yet, they pulled off a creative story with some funny moments, even though (probably because of the limited time) there were some skipped parts that, in the overall story, weren't missed and actually helped enjoying watching the show.
Very good series. Great story and production. Overall good acting and the soundtrack was great.
I am confused with the ending. In the last scene, the princess decided to go for a walk alone and met the boy on the horse. Then things got really confusing. The boys' parents were the ML and FL? Was she imagining that? Or she also died and went away with the boy (a spirit?). Didn't both die? Or the writer wanted to leave an open end as if they did not?
Thanks for this list. Recently it has been very rare to get any news about Chinese dramas here on MDL. And it appears that there's a dry spell on costume dramas, still my favorite types.
Excellent series. Everything from the production, story, acting and soundtrack really well done. The screenwriter did an awesome job creating balancing laughable scenes with sad ones. It really felt like a real police station that have to deal with all different types of scenarios, including higher ups political whims. The actor playing the police chief is really good and did an excellent job impersonating the character. Actually the director and all actors did a very good job and managed to convey their charqcters really well. Great job!
How many episodes on this series? Netflix only posted two and does not provide any info on upcoming ones. It usually tells when the following episodes will be released. But in this case seems to have stopped in two.
Very good series. I still liked the first better but season 2 is not far behind. The cliffhanger for season 3 is there, so now the questions are will they make one and when? The production in general was very good. Acting varied from very good to moderate and the nice soundtrack matched the scenes well.
My understanding is that she either died and "met" them in the afterlife or she just imagined the whole thing.
