It's season 4. Someone explained earlier that the producers are supersticious and don't like the number 4, hence…
I remember reading about it, and even why season 4 has a different name, in the comments sections of the different seasons. I do not recall which one specifically.
Really good drama and very underrated. The acting, production and soundtrack are top notch. The story has some silly scenes, such as those little tennis-ball-shapped little demons that merge to become a big pack man. Maybe the production wanted to cater to a wide audience? Neverthless, the story is very good and the production binge watchable. So, if you like the Xianxia genre, do not miss this one. The MDL rating is nonsense. This is at least a 9/10.
Just finished it. ZLY never disappoints. As expected, really good and very underrated here on MDL. Great combination of drama, humor and political struggles. There's some propaganda but it gets lost in the middle of excellent acting, direction, production and the overall plot. I highly recommend for who wants a glimpse of life in China.
Still watching it This is a good series. The production is meticulous, great acting and soundtrack. The only thing giving me some mixed feelings is the story. It has great moments but others are way too childish. Neverthless, it has been a great binge watch.

This series reminded me a bit of the Game of Thrones plot, where the author did not spare main leads during the story. It also did not have any romance and focused on the male lead's revenge plot, which lasted up to the last minute. Bloodbath is an understatement and the company that supplies fake blood must have made a killing (pun intended) selling its stuff.
This is an excellent drama. The story, acting and production are outstanding and a bit different than the typical series. Great binge watch and plot twists. More remarks on the spolier-marked sequence.

If you want something without romance, then give The Vendetta of An a try. I'm in the middle of it and at the rate the characters die, there's no chance for that. Did you watch Game of Thrones?

I'm watching The Vendetta of An, also with CY that is a different style (not fantasy) and, for me, better than WoF and S&B. But, again, my preference. I'm with you on the waste of time. If the drama cannot keep me entertained I drop it. The Lotus Casebook was OK but not at the same level of these other three.

It's matter of preference. LYX gives a more intense vibe than CY. He probably learned playing roles in live theater? For me both are very good and usually fit their roles well. I like to watch the overall final effect and, again, for me, if I compare both series, I also prefer Sword and Beloved. Whispers of Fate had some very long ones and still left some stuff open. Maybe they are planning a second season? That would be nice.
This sounds like a storm in a tea cup steered by folks who want to mess with the actress. She was injured and rightfully went to the hospital but her assistant stayed there to take care of everything. If the police was there at the moment, they would also have taken her first to the hospital.
Very entertaining and binge-watchable series. Only remark is that it could have been a little shorter. Some scenes were a bit looong. Everything else was great: acting, production and plot-twists, which gave a good suspense. The main leads had great chemistry and another season would be very welcome.
Very cool series. I liked Reset better but this one was very close. Great story, acting and production. The soundtrack was also nice and matched the scenes well. Several well-thought plot twists, including the ending, which leaves the plot open for another season.
The start is awesome, as expected from dramas with Yang Zi.
