As a gay top with a reasonable amount of experience, I have to say that I’ve never once encountered one of these unbelievably annoying, semi-frigid little bottoms that are currently featuring in so many series, particularly in Thai BL’s like this one. It’s been my experience that once they decide they want you, they’ll be lying stark naked on your bed before you’ve even had time to remove your socks. All this petulant flouncing about, refusing even to kiss the equally-unbelievable, limitlessly patient masters of self-control allegedly portraying their besotted, frustrated dates has me swearing abuse at the TV screen with every tired repeat of this same clichéd storyline. And what’s with all this bullshit about drying each other’s hair? No-one’s ever done that, not EVAH!
At least Phum and I have one thing in common…….we both slept through the rape scene. I didn’t even know there was one until I read the comments here. Episodes 6 and 7 have both sent me off into deep sleeps. The most frightening thing about this vampire series is that somebody thought it was worth releasing it in the first place.
Paid for a VIP on iqiyi. Yet they have location restrictions. What kind of treatment is this????
It’s available on the GagaOOlala app here in Australia, or for free on the dailymotionTV app, via Apple or Google Play, which also has the Taynew Cherry Magic and other BL series which are hard to find internationally.
I’ve just checked the GMMTV Official channel on YouTube and the viewing figures show an interesting situation for My Love Mix-Up: Ep.1 (1/4) 1.1M views Ep.2 (1/4) 771K views 329,000 less than ep 1 Ep.3 (1/4) 621K views 150,000 less that ep2, 479,000 less than ep1. I totally love Gem and Fourth, but clearly GMMTV have to give them something more original than Thai versions of previously-successful JBL’s if they expect to keep their audiences from voting with their remotes.
I gave this series a 10 rating soon after its release. Now that I’ve watched all 12 episodes, I see no reason to change. I never felt even slightly like dropping it, Only Boo is simply great from start to finish.
I’m fudanshi, so I obviously look at BL’s from a gay male point of view. The best scene in episode 8 for me was between Oye and Cher. Their love is real, and now they can celebrate their commitment to each other legally. The worst scenes were any time Dee interacted with Dr Terd. Their conversations were so cringeworthy I had to mute the sound to stop myself from barfing. And why did they have to turn someone as cute as AJ into a nasty, groping sex pest? If he put his hand on my leg like that, I’d have mine on his before he had time to take his next breath.
The scene where Almond is in bed with his sex toy is a comedy classic. I’m laughing again just thinking about it. Every episode of this series rates 10/10 from me, and that hardly ever happens.
I watched episode two of this sizzling series straight after episode 11 of Only Boo, and totally enjoyed both of them. Love Sea is NC from start to finish - if they’re not actually doing it, they’re thinking about doing it. So far at least, it’s rating a full 10 from me.
I can only assume that GMMTV scriptwriters are compelled for commercial reasons by their employers to extend series which should have ended by episode 8 at the latest with any old storyline, no matter how unbelievable it is, for at least two, or preferably four more instalments.
Does anyone on this planet go to all the trouble of preparing a delicious dinner for someone, and then fuck off with someone else to go eat din-dins at their place, leaving their own food festering on the table and not telling their bewildered guest what they’ve done? Dee doesn’t strike me as somebody suffering from terminally-bad manners, not even scribbling a note for Yak or inexplicably not answering his calls, only sending a voicemail to Kao, who wasn’t invited in the first place. Wandee Goodday is credited with four scriptwriters adapting an original novel as their source material. If this completely ludicrous plot twist is the best that five writers can come up with, then IMHO the Thai BL industry is in real trouble.
Fans may have noticed that included in the credits at the end of each episode is a photo showing Dee with his arms around a bare-chested Yoyak. Every few seconds they both seem to squat, swiftly followed by the appearance behind them of a large cloud of gas. Is this meant to indicate that Thai boxers train on an unusually high-fiber diet?
KKB is by far my favorite current series. It totally reminds me of my own student days in a share-house with three others. The scene in the bedroom with Latte, Mond and Jumper had me howling with laughter. An easy rating of 10 from me, everyone in it is just great.
Inn planting his handsome head between Great’s gorgeous bare legs in episode 4 is one of the most erotic scenes I’ve seen in any BL so far this year. I couldn’t care less if they’re not kissing yet, they’re obviously doing everything else!!!
An entertaining first episode that gives me hope that for once a series starring Long and Frank will keep me watching until the end. Their travel programs around Thailand show them to be close friends with natural chemistry, easy conversation and genuine laughter. They’re not to blame for the second-rate scripts and dull directing which have made such a bad impression in their previous series. I’m hoping that this time they finally get the chance to show what super-hot and talented performers they actually are.
