This was a perfect binge-watch for a chilly late-autumn evening here in southern Australia. I loved every second of all eight episodes.

For any interested international BL fans who don’t use a VPN (like me), I watched the entire series on the Dailymotion app, downloaded onto my Apple TV 4K. It’s a little confusing as both the Thai and Japanese live versions plus the anime series are on there in no particular order and it can take a little time and patience to sort it all out. But all three are complete, and as I’m a huge fan of Tay and New it was great to finally get to see their interpretation of the story. Personal rating: 8/10. It would have been higher but both the 11th and final episodes had all the loose ends tied up in record-breaking time, much like the way GMMTV stitched up, for me at least, the end of the otherwise magnificent Last Twilight.

I read this thundering, fire-and-brimstone collection of timewarped, uptight 19th century bullshit first thing when I woke up this morning and haven’t stopped laughing since. Obviously darling, the internet signal isn’t all that clear in your padded cell. You keep using female pronouns when writing about both Khemthis and Wela. They’re actually males, sweetie, the females are the ones with the lumps in their sweaters.

Deep Night is my favorite BL so far this year. I loved every second of it, hated having to wait a week for each new episode. I have zero criticism of any member of the cast, thought Neptune was sex on a stick, nearly wet myself with sheer delight when I discovered his and Chalarm’s TikTok posts. I’d really like to see a follow-on series revolving around their throuple with Seagames. If I had the money I’d finance its production myself.

I don’t think the Chalarm/Neptune posts on TikTok can be classed as fan service. Ken and Pan are rivals for Seiji’s affections at least up until episode 7 and even then it’s only in a (very hot) fantasy. Something tells me that wasn’t the first time Chalarm had sucked Neptune’s right nipple.

OMG!! I’ve just watched Neptune and Chalarm interacting together on TikTok. Their chemistry is super-charged, looks to me like it’s a real ship.

I was hoping without much optimism that a throuple with Japan, Seiji and Ken might happen at some point. Even though it was just a fantasy scene it made me scream it was soooo damn erotic, the first one I can recall seeing in any BL I’ve watched to date. Deep Night’s talented original creator and screenwriter certainly know how to keep their audience watching from the beginning to the end of this superb series . I trust that iQIYI won’t have cut the on-stage orgy scene with the full cast I’m now expecting at the end of the final episode.

This looks like it could be a great JBL, but I might have to watch the rest of it in secret. There was a time when I was single and went to gay places on my own, looking for the truly perfect partner I eventually found. However, if I’d had an offer from Asami like the one he made to Yuki, I’d have unhesitatingly shacked up with him instead. I’d elaborate further but my beloved keeps hitting me, grabbing the iPad out of my grasp and saying harsh, unpleasant things while he’s doing it. I can’t understand why my mother thinks he’s so wonderful.

Maybe it’s because my partner and I are in a same-sex (male) relationship, but neither of us can understand why Pond and Phuwin get so much negative criticism. We think they’re great, and Phuwin made both of us LOL twice in episode 2. His unexpected burp in Pond’s face was a classic, plus the scene at the end where Pheem’s closing dialog is just so perfect it made us both hoot with delight. We really like it when GMMTV casts a whole bunch of talented performers into featured roles in a series, and agree that Aou is outstanding as Tan in this one. LOVE IT!!!!

Japan is undoubtedly my bias in this series. If he’s written into a throuple with Ken and Seiji and we get an NC to celebrate it, I’ll have to go into rehab.

I almost screamed in disbelief when episode 3 ended, I thought it was only around halfway through. I’m still loving every second of this, every guy playing a host is unbelievably hot, and Japan can serve me anything he likes, preferably himself on a silver platter. So far at least, I’m totally obsessed with this series. Hurry up episode 4️⃣❤️❤️❤️

I can’t say I thought there was too much adult content, although this movie did surprise me. I had to replay the first orgy scene several times to be sure if what I thought I had seen initially hadn’t been just my eyes deceiving me. A disturbingly sordid but overall satisfying look at same-sex drug culture in Taiwan - with, for once, no need to guess which members of the cast were actually gay.

I watched episode one twice and as soon as I recover from my first look at episode two will do the same again and can’t wait to see episode three. I’m totally obsessed with it, personal rating off the charts.

Yet another high-quality BL from Japan, the country that gave fudanshi me what was far and away my favorite series of 2023, My Personal Weatherman. I like to think Kai and Hiro would have found a way to take over the old man’s shop and run it successfully together. Either that, or Kai could have started an online service, helping to relieve his clients’ insomnia.

Same here. When Yo opened the door for Pun wearing that red scarf, it made me genuinely LOL. That kind of reaction happened to me a lot watching IWKY. I’m now confident I’ll want to watch the whole series.

As a mere queer male obsessed with BL’s, I love how Pit Babe seems to have such a high number of actual gay actors in its cast. My favorite by far is Nut. He’s totally convincing as Way, serious and suffering with unrequited passion for Babe. However, away from the show’s restraints and appearing in stuff such as promo videos, he grabs every chance he can get to camp it up and scream his tits off, a genuine nut if ever there was one. I love him! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

All I know is if I was having a problem sleeping and Kai climbed in beside me, invited or not, offering to relieve my stress with his hands-on insomnia remedy, I’d think I was already asleep and about to star in my first wet dream since adolescence.
