I really wanted to like this because I really enjoyed the first one. However, this one does not grab me. It might be just me but I prefer Kim Myung Soo to Ok Taecyeon in the lead role. I like Ok Taecyeon but I think Kim Myung Soo's portrayal of the upright yet comical secret agent was so much fun.

I don't understand some people's hate for c-dramas because I enjoy Korean, Chinese and Japanese dramas and think of MDL as the site for all Asian entertainment. I understand the dominance of K-dramas here because of the popularity and more wide availability of K-dramas and their great production values for modern dramas. But other countries also make some great entertainment and I always think of it as wonderful that there is so much variety to enjoy! Thank you again for your hard work!

Hahaha...for sure. I wish that would have happened. I'd hoped either She and Her Perfect Husband or The Longest Promise would air after Love Like the Galaxy, but no such luck. Tencent is weird!

I think it might have something to do with the fact that the government encourages the release of more patriotic or heroically uplifting themed dramas during the month of October. It's because the 1st of October is National Day in China and the entire month is filled with patriotic themes.
I am disappointed about She and Her Perfect Husband of course but am currently also enjoying Light Chaser Rescue. I hope She and her Perfect Husband airs right after!

I think jealousy is rooted in insecurity and at least in this instance, his youth combined with his insecurity about how she feels about him makes his jealousy seem more real. I agree that in some C-dramas, there is some over-the-top, unnecessarily jealous MLs. It seems to be portrayed as romantic but it definitely is not romantic for me.

Yes I agree. It's certainly a matter of personal taste and how boring if we all loved the same things! I do like DFQF and find him a great ML. And yes, of the big three dramas right now, IS is my least favorite. That's actually very funny because prior to their release, it was the one I was most looking forward to.

I also tried and am still watching LBFAD but for me it's not in the same league at all. I like DFQC but not as much as HBY/LBY and also the biggest difference is in the FL and all the side characters. I love LLTG for the main leads but also for all the vivid and interesting side characters. The only thing I like better in LBFAD is its OST

Yes it is indeed a happy ending. Can I just say I envy you for just starting it now? I love the drama so much and wish I could just forget what I watched and then watch it all over again fresh. As it is, I am regularly re-watching my favorite episodes and scenes.

I really liked the first half of ADOS but felt the second half was weaker. The last ten episodes were really not that good and felt both rushed and draggy ( weird I know but that's how I saw it). The chemistry between the leads was great and the sets and costumes were beautiful but I preferred LLTG way more in almost all departments.

That's an interesting take on it but I saw it as love propelling the characters forward and teaching them to finally let go off of past resentments, hurt and loss and find their own galaxy of love.

Totally agree. I too unsubscribed after this because I cannot trust her views any more. And even if it is a matter of personal preference, it is clear that she and I have totally different preferences and views, so why watch her channel? She just seems ridiculously biased.

@PeachBlossomGoddess Thank you for your comment because I was beginning to wonder if I am missing something with everyone raving so much about LBFAD, especially on Reddit. Then I watched AvenueX as she praised LBAFD and then gave a lower score to LLTG in her recent video. I have long suspected her to be really biased and overly critical of what she is predisposed to dislike. Esther Yu really grates on my nerves in LBFAD although, like you, I really liked Dylan Wang in it. But all in all, it is good to read a comment from a well-respected member of the community with really objective views because I just didn't feel that LLTG and LBFAD are in the same league. It is of-course a matter of personal taste and opinion but I did wonder if I am missing something or really getting old.

I thought there was a lot of romance. It is very slow burn but it is literally titled Love Like the Galaxy and so love is what propels the story forward. It has court intrigue, revenge and familial relations too but ultimately it is the story of the FL and ML and their journey.
