I agree. I think that the marketing/promo of this drama was misleading and in some ways backfired. If they hadn't marketed it as being a crazy, unhinged ML but rather a historical romance with political intrigue, I think it would do better. I like the drama and am following it but it is not what I thought it'd be. I was very surprised that the ML was smitten so early on and their relationship developed quite quickly that I kept waiting for something drastic to change all that. Maybe it will happen but we are now more than halfway through the show. 🤔

He'd be a great Mr Knightley going by him in The Rise of Ning and a great Mr Darcy going by his role in Lost You Forever and Are You the One.

I agree. It almost seems like one of those true stories one hears all too often of a very young girl having a crush on a "bad boy" type and gets in a relationship with him and then she finds out he is not a nice person and tries to leave him but he keeps stalking her. I like the actor who plays LJX but there's no way what he does is romantic.

You are right about that of-course. I think the show is slowly revealing that LJX and LYN were very close and in love in the past. Perhaps for her it was a more of a very young girl's first love/crush but he was very much in love with her is what I guessed.

Very much agree. Do you think it's because they made the uncle too immature or their relationship more like squabbling siblings at first? I can't quite put my finger to it but I find their whole romance not very interesting.

I've never commented on LJX but I do think that no matter how intimate lovers are, it is not right for anyone to squeeze someone's throat in anger or to threaten. A lover's embrace is very different from an unwelcome embrace.

I used to watch and like Avenue X's channel on YouTube. But I have long since unsubscribed from her channel and finally even told YouTube to not recommend her channel anymore. I got tired of her rants and nitpicky reviews which to me often felt very biased. I know she is always touted as someone who once worked in the industry and so knows a lot about it but I'd also think someone who has actually worked hard in a certain field would have more empathy and understanding about the work that goes into it. A balanced outlook seems more objective. Yeah, the eye shadow might be less than perfect but what about some things that were nice with the FL's styling? Like her hair or clothes or any number of other things.

I actually thought during this whole thing with the imperial exams that the Asian parents' approach towards their children's exams is really in their ancestral DNA.😂 Really brought back some childhood memories! 🤣

Me too! No SML syndrome at all here. But he is more interesting than many SMLs and played really well by someone who seems to really fit the role.

I didn't mind the voice in the beginning and now think the voice really works because it is so distinct and with the events in the 14th episode, it really helps with the story that she has a distinct and very recognizable voice.

Logic is surprisingly a precious commodity and in low supply even in the real world. So, it is of-course very welcome in dramaland.

Me too! I am regretting my decision to start watching TRON the day it released. I usually wait until all episodes are out or at least until there are more than 16 episodes out. But I couldn't wait for this one and now I am just waiting impatiently every day for the next day when I can watch a new episode. 🤣🤣🤣
