I like the show but had a question about the word "deity" used to describe many of the characters. What exactly does that mean? Are they like the gods or are they more like the usual immortals of the Xianxia genre? Even amongst the immortals, there seems to be those who are powerful cultivators who are more human like and then those who live in the immortal realms like YXW and her people in TTEOM. Do any of the novel readers know what the world building of the novel says about these "deities.'

While re-watching some of my favorite scenes and episodes, I had a couple of questions come up in my mind. I wonder what you guys thought.
1. So LSS takes out the devil bone in episode 28 and replaces it with her divine essence. I wonder why she did that. Why didn't she simply take out the devil bone? Did she have to replace it with her divine essence? Was that a favor she did him by giving him her divine essence as a payback or would TTJ have died without something replacing the devil bone that was taken out?

2. I was also wondering a more hypothetical question. Do you guys think that it would have been a more even and even a very difficult end battle for LSS if the Devil God was not a transformed CJM wanting to destroy the Devil God and the All In Distress Way? Even if she was a god, it was difficult for all twelve god to defeat the Devil God ten thousand years ago, so for her alone it would have been almost impossible to destroy the Devil God. If CJM had truly become the evil Devil God and they had actually fought after her ascending to godhood, maybe things could have gone either way and ended very badly for the Three Continents and Four Realms?

The first half of Back from the Brink was good but the second half had me kinda bored. I am really enjoying Destined so far.

Very true! Also, I can't imagine anyone else except LYX as TTJ. Just take him and dub him in Korean if they had to do a remake. But only if they had to make a remake that no one asked for because I doubt the Chinese one can ever be topped.😂

My husband, who is watching the show after all my gushing praise for it, really took issue with the harp. He said that he thought it was lazy of the props department to not even tighten the strings even if the playing was all wrong. He also commented on the flat sails of the boat.😂 He likes the story and the characters though.

Yes he looked saddened like he still had hoped that it might not be so. Do you think he'd have spared her if she hadn't said she didn't regret betraying him? I thought so. I thought he'd have probably spared her if she'd just said that she was sorry and that she regretted betraying him.
