But for those finals to work we need the relationship between the leads to be well developed. Here we had 1 ep where they were together and happy? It is too little...

This is one of those stories that needed a full happy ending as happens in the novel.

I can agree that most have drama and last minute happy ending to make the audience feel fulfilled.

But here there is no happiness.

the final episodes of legends didn't even make sense. It must be a unique case.

the drama deserves a rating around that.
I would say around 9 in the mortal arc but the immortal arc deserves 7.5 or so.
There are too many inconsistencies, unanswered questions and unfulfiled potential in the immortal arc for it to deserve a higher rating.

The descriptions of familiar stranger and colorful bones are simillar/about the same themes.

I chosed to watch colorful bone and it is a realy nice drama. it is a mix of 2/3 wuxia 1/3 historical/politcial. I was very surprised that I liked the show so much

you lost interest in lbfad and alp after 1 ep?
by coincidence both of these dramas have several similarities to tteotm.

you should try to watch a couple more episodes. these shows aren't generic nor lukewarm. if you like heartbreak with a happy ending watch alp!

it is a ok rated xianxia (7.9) that I have almost started to watch several times. But then I go read the coments about it and things like this appear:

At this point I'm speechless. The story or plot fuck me over. All the characters in the drama were sad as a hack. The author just wants every character to be miserable and love killing everyone in the story. And I don't get the evil guy controlling Lue Ge. He was probably obsessed with Liu Shao. I WATCH ALL THE 40 EPISODES OF THIS. 😫😤

They even did their best to make ttj a better person derving the world but gave him a worse ending than the novel. I think some chinese producers just have problems with giving us satisfying endings. Because not only the happy part, the whole novel ending is MUCH better than the drama.

If you compare the 2 they are miles apart.

the thing is while you might not forget the drama there is little chance it will atract new watchers.

Most people don't want to go through 40 eps of tragedy without some pay off at the ending-

I think because the story is vey catching.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a short epilogue where ttj reunites with lss for some unknown reason. lss has something she promised to tell him after all...

the problem is how they are going to make me feel something about their reunion. while ttj deserves the world lss has rarely shown her love for him in 40 eps. I don't think 3 or 4 min will chage the over all feeling of the drama

I disagree.
I saw the first episodes of IS and it screamed tragedy and torture. It is the reason I decided to stop and wait for the coments to know how sad it was going to be.

is this how people that watched immortal samsara felt at the end of the show?
