Yes, why they can't learn that many viewers demand happy ending. It's not like every masterpiece xianxia must…
The xianxias that are considered classics all have happish endings. This ending can create buzz now, but in a year there will be no new watchers for this show. The most frequent question for any show is if there is a HE. If there isn't a lot of people don't watch it. If the whole show is a tragedy then even less people watch it.
And thre are some high rated xianxias here that nobody watch.
No matter how you look at it, it was a BE. He scarified himself to save the world and after 500 years, there is…
I think you wrote the big problem with this drama. we had no big moments from other characters in reaction to what ttj did. The imortals don't regret being assholes, lss never shows remorse to ttj... Even their god talk today lacked emotion. It would have been much better to erase most of those scenes and have her realise that ttj loved her when she was in the tomb. THERE we had emotion!
The way the show ended is lacked a bang and pay off.
It is kind of sad that a drama that could become one of the references in the genre will probably never get that status because of the ending.
when anybody asks if they should see this the responses will always be that it has a gripping story but basically it is a show where the ML suffers almost every ep, has to pretend to be a villain and then is killed by the FL. And there isn't any pay off to all the sufering, sacrifice or love the ML goes through.
People are saying open happy ending but to me its feels like a bad ending. Not even sad ending but truly bad ending.
that is another mistery. why did she lose her god looks? It feels like a scene they just wanted to force into the drama. I would bet the scenes where they talk as gods were some late addition and even though it ruined the continuity they decided to keep the tomb scene.
he's not living in the dragon thing. he's dead and cannot be reincarnated.....LYX confirmed on weibo.
I don't understand why they would end the show like this. It was very simillar to what happened in the novel but they took the epicness out of it.
In the novel everybody thinks he is evil and in the end he lets lss kill him so that he can change the formation and revive all the people that died in the war and create a good place for the demons to live. And it shocked evybody and lss stood there waiting for him to revive like everybody else but he didn t.
Then we have the tomb scene where she finds out he really loves her and her searching for him...
this was so lame! After lls became a god and found everything what was the point of the tomb scene? It would have been much better if she killed him thinking he was evil and then found out the truth in the tomb! And he should have used the formation to do the same things he did in the novel.
THAT was an epic ending. This was just sad and lame. And they didn't even show him reincarnated... Like is he a spirit somehow living in the dragon thingy? That was so bad...
ttj sidekick and fu ya?

It had one of the ML more crazy and in love with a female lead while she was meh about him.
we have very few scenes where she shows love for him

here nobody knows.
LSS can have married after some centuries and the girl is the daughter with her new husband.
She could have found someone like MY and had a daughter.
we will never know
And why was she sad and shocked when she saw the tombs? she already knew that he loved her! this ending annoys me so much
even if they wanted a sad ending reading those chapters in the novel is a much better story
it felt so pointless.

it should be around 8.5
as long as isn't reincarnated it is a bad ending.
After lls became a god and found everything what was the point of the tomb scene?
