Zhang Bin Bin has always been such a talented charismatic actor with a slew of mostly questionable roles, but my man is absolutely phenomenal here. He is slaying it and his character is probably one of his best yet.
Surprisingly well paced and packed with good amounts of action, thriller, suspense and no overdone romance.
She was amazing in The Call I had to go check out Burning, which she was also amazing in esp for her first ever role ever. Man what an incredible natural actress. Some people are just born performers
ugh, I hate it when people watch this just because the actors and actresses are good looking...guys, there's so…
People can enjoy the drama for all it has to offer, including the eye candy. It is not mutually exclusive. Shows that offer no substance besides good looking actors/actresses, don't get the same buzz and attention, nor evoke different discussions about characters , plot etc like it does here. MDL is well rounded with a good mix of everything.
Your comment though, slightly comes off as if you're on some kind of pedestal.
I actually really loved her and Bo Wang's relationship. They were created enemies in the struggle for survival…
Yup. One of my top favorite moments in the drama is their last scene together. It's just so powerful (even more than most of the lead couple's scenes imo, but hey, no one is comparing) to come full circle like that, as Bo Wang tells her, truth is, they were actually family rather than enemies since day one.

They were created enemies in the struggle for survival due to circumstances orchestrated by Chu Kui, yet had respect for one another. For him it was the most basic and highest rule of the animal kingdom, respect for all life forms including your enemies. One where human beings often fail or pale in comparison, despite their self proclaimed superiority.
As Zhai Xing said, the real monsters are found outside of Wolf Mountain (or the animal kingdom.
Easy binge though my heart took a beating from all that emotional flogging. Despite the many flaws, it made up with pure entertainment and all elements delivered to make it a good overall watch. Worth the 3 year wait.
The character so far IMHO is not that well written. I am also quite disappointed. She refuses to grow up she just…
Yup, repeatedly warned/told her distinguishing Wolf Boy from Bo Wang is the best thing for them both. If only she respected the message whether told blue to her face or inbetween the lines.
Don't get me started where her priorties at. Heroines who forsake integrity, accountability, and brains for the sake of love, make me smh. I cannot sympathize with this character, at least at this moment.
Who else hates it when the FL apparently with so much to offer starts centering her life around the man/love interest (and doesnt really do anything else??) and becomes a naive doormat as if this type of love is so pure and heroic DESPITE ignoring red flags/warning signs.
When someone tells you the truth about themselves, BELIEVE THEM. Now Yao Ji likely didn't do it out of noble intentions, but she wasn't wrong where she was headed - does Xing Er know Bo Wang? not just Wolf Boy. To only love someone for one aspect or facet of their character isn't embracing someone for their entirety, flaws included and all.
Xing Er still has so much growing to do as of ep 25. Hope she gets better from here.

Gonna miss the OST and Darren Wang's tan.

Also Darren Wang is helplessly sexy and charismatic as Bo Wang, and tugs at your heartstrings as the innocent Wolf Boy
