Title The Heiress Spoiler
Can someone do a thorough a recap of the last episode? Thank you! :)
Basically the FL is convinced the Prince played a direct hand at causing the Han Army to fall, thanks to an evidence of a scroll forged as written and approved by him not to send reinforcements to Han Army during the battle with Wei. Wang Er knows the truth as he witnessed his father forging this document, but doesn't say it for selfish reasons. More misunderstanding and heartbreak. Prince asks for time to prove his innocence. King and Queen dies - he suceeds as new King which makes it even harder for her to believe him. FL agrees to marry him but actually plotted to kill both on their wedding day with poisoned wine. Wang Er plays wedding crashers to take the FL away. Dramatic scene where Jinzi didn't have to die for unnecessary reasons but did anyway causes more misunderstanding and wedge, ending with the FL leaving him for good with Wang Er. Once outside she eventually goes off on her own, with Wang Er sending her off and at that moment he decides to stop being a coward to FINALLY tell her the truth. While it erased her hatred it didn't change her mind much as she believes the royals (as in the former King and Queen only) were inactive accomplices by not doing anything although they knew all along. To the surprise of no one, she doesn't ever want to see him again either.
Timeskip to 3 years later, she is a wandering swordswoman back in the capital and hears from the locals how Yan Yi is a wise king. She gives the jade he gave her years ago to an old friend she runs into. The Prince who sees the old friend moments later recognizes it and goes searching for her, she senses he is around. Show ends with them near missing each other cause fate is being an ass

Welp last few episodes are a disgrace. As if it was a sick challenge on how to ruin a (decent) drama and the director goes hold my beer. Many scenes were obviously cut and all is left is a rushed, condensed and sloppy attempt at trying to rush in more drama, more misunderstandings while wrapping up loose ends.

At one point it had all the makings or potential to be a gender bender classic until it earned its
unredeemable one way ticket to 'dramas that could've been'

Seems this drama is either a "you love" or "you hate". Those who dislike it, criticize the exaggerated acting.…
Exactly! The obnoxious good for nothing act is supposed to draw as much bad attention and piss poor reputation as possible, pretty sure this was explicitly stated on more than one ocassion by the character herself. Considering this is their objective to begin with, she nailed what she set out to do.

I found the "arrogant youngmaster/good for nothing playboy" facade a bit irritating at first, but the moments that prove there is " more than meets the eye" changes this perception and even adds a charm because the actress does a fantastic job showing different faces of the character

I don't think she's pregnant. From one of the trailers it looks like one of their better more tender moments is all. This better not be a sad ending :(

An easy binge. Not draggy and gets right to the point, the pace has to be one of the better ones I've seen from Cdramas in awhile. ML isn't the most charming guy at first glance but something about their chemistry gives me tingles. I'm a fan of the story and lead cast/acting so far

Off to a good start! Love the smart mind games between the FL and ML so far. FL is actually convincing as a man and beautiful as a woman

Took ep 19 or 20 for me to really get into it! First 10 eps were a bit slow but good introduction to the world and different sects/characters to build towards the greater story

An easy binge but get the Kleenex ready. Everything about this was perfect from acting, production to story. LDG was perfect as the mentally unstable tyrant and the leads broke my heart. PMY has grown so much as an actress and it shows here
On Queen for Seven Days Aug 3, 2020
Chemistry between the leads is no joke! While oozing chemistry with LDG's King since day one her scenes with Yeok also leaves you breathless emotionally .. damn it PMY go get it girlll

I never watched SKS but am really enjoying this one. Am just curious what is it about this one that you are disappointed…
For one the characters just completely missed the mark for me especially the FL. Then minor nuisances like how CGI'd the academy is. Everything seems very try hard imo. Tried to judge it as its own and refrained from comparing but simply could not get into it
On In a Class of Her Own Aug 2, 2020
Excited to start this because SKS is one of my all time favorites. This was a major disappointment on many levels for me personally, happily dropped and burned never to be touched again even with a ten foot pole.

You're totally right they look so alike yet they don't haha..it's strange. 1st timeline Zhan was a fascinating way to introduce this character, reset Zhan is a pleasant surprise considering he is the dark horse type you don't want to end up on the bad side of. Xu Hai Qiao is best actor here imo and nails it with the different faces of Zhan

It gets better but not by a lot, unfortunately. Their relationship before the reset just isn't properly developed, though this issue can be offset with a spark which they don't quite ever have honestly. Chemistry between the FL and second lead male is much better and believable.

Many parts of me still hope for a remake one day but with better leads.

I think this drama had a great concept plot and potential that far surmised its execution. Unfortunately the acting and chemistry failed to deliver. I wanted to like this so bad, but falling short on those aspects made the experience a bit underwhelming for me personally. Though a lot of people still enjoyed it.
