As someone whose laptop battery is dying a fast death in spite of using it with so much care, im wondering if bobae's laptop is always on bc never saw her turning it on? If yes, with or without ac power? If with battery then how is it able to keep charge all day long? If ac, how does the motherboard endure the electricity short circuits?
Epi 12. Yeon seon ju conveniently omitting half truth to justify granpa's cruelty towards pio. She tells pio not to resent him too much bc he once said the reason he treated pio like that is because he fears pio is like him and will be consumed by trying to bring out the best in him so granpa clearly saw pio's struggle. Bs. Granpa also said that even it's difficult for great artists when this happens so it'll be even more difficult for the mediocre ones (something along these lines) which she didn't mention.

Ok, so after a prolonged spate of mental abuse by jy when pio finally successfully plays the way jy wanted but jy still won't accept it but can't stop thinking about pio's playing, the scene feels so erotic tho. Haha. That's just me. You can see it as whatever you want.

How do I define visible love? Well, in this show's scenario, in my eyes, the acts of selfless giving done by Jeongyo. From the moment he became friends with Pio, leaving one instance where he beat pio up, he had been knee-jerk ready to do everything for pio. Like when he said to the professor about entering into that last concert before disappearing that if pio wants to be the light then he'll be the fire for him even if he had to burn. And burn he did. For me looks and gazes are subjective for gaging feelings sometimes, but actions can have receipts. Though some actions can be interpreted as either love or kindness. To me jeongyo's actions are pure love.
As for Pio, i never said he didn't care for jy. He was just too absorbed by his own suffering to be able to love him, which im not saying is wrong bc he's a victim. He's a kind person and when he saw jy in trouble he helped him, even though he always asked something or the other from jy, which jy never did from him.
Without jy his final victory was meaningless to him and as a person with insecurity and ego he couldn't validate his own win. He always had an inkling that he was somehow responsible for jy's disappearance. So he felt immensely guilty. When he found out about jy's death he fell into a slump because of his guilt. I saw it as guilt instead of just pain of losing a loved one. Yes, i think it was his guilt and obsession with JY that he spent that money over looking for him. Also he had won with jy's sheet and never once gave credit to him or acknowledged him as his friend publicly. He was always self-preserving.
I could see his love for him once when he wanted to hug him on meeting him after the accident. It can be interpreted as relief too. I see it as love. We can have several interpretations of a character's actions and behaviors without any of them being wrong, because interpretation is subjective.
Im not saying pio is completely selfish. He has always lived a life his mom wanted for him, seeking his grandfather's validation. But that doesn't mean he was not selfish and cruel, repeatedly, with jy and jae in. His circumstances of abuse made him what he is, but he still IS what he was made.
Jy had grew up in worse circumstances, financial hell, emotional and physical abuse, he was still capable of loving someone else unconditionally. When he was threatened with his dad's life to ask money from pio, he chose another way, even in a high-risk situation. He was like that.
So im saying I saw jy's love in his every action and word besides just his eyes which i haven't seen in pio yet. Im on episode 9. Pio always had more than one reason to do what he's been doing. Jy didn't.
Ps I love how pio's character is written. Very complex. You can't hate him but you can debate his actions. He's a victim, but he's capable of hurting others.
I think Pio loved Jeongyo in some sense. Jeongyo was the only person Pio helped despite his own selfish interests.…
There are some moments where i see glimpses of it like when he wanted to hug jeongyo on their meeting after the accident but his self-complex is so overwhelming that those glimpses get lost.
