i used to find myself blaming seojin's mother-in-law for driving her into her obssesive state of getting yeseo…
At some point people need to be held accountable for their actions. Was she driven into her obsession with education by mother-in-law/society in general? Possibly. But what she did in episode 15 is inexcusable. Destroying critical evidence, accepting blaimg Woo Joo, trying to cover Ye Suh as a possible murderer, still withelding the fact of Hye Nas origin... that is way too many things she's been *actively* part of and done by herself. Not even once she seemed like she regrets what she has done and when she has showed remorse it was more over the consequences of her actions rather than the action itself. Seo Jin needs to be held accountable for her actions.
Just like Se Mi who should imo pay the fees for her Harvard stunt, Seo Jin should also pay for what she has done but while Se Mi's actions had monetary consequence it is easier to see how much harm was done.
I understand Seo Jin, I will be torn just like her if I'm in her position. Like It's not It;s her fault for stealing…
You know... at the begining I was also trying to understand her. It is obvious she loves Ye Suh (though I am still not sure about her feelings about Ye Bin) but she literally led herself into this position. Every other episode she finds out something shocking and disturbing about coach Kim and she ignores it thinking she can use it to her own profit. Not once she looked at the whole relationship triangle (she - coach - Ye Suh) critically and now she reaps as she sew. Her daughter has been already incredibly dependent on coach Kim and she brushed it off as if Sue Lim didnt tell her how other two families connected with coach kim ended up. Not to mention that she was actively trying to cover Ye Suh (when she thought she was the murderer) and she not once reflected on the fact that her child might be incredibly problematic and that she might be raising a disgusting person Later on she kept repeating how sorry she feels about Hye Na but during her last moments she did not. She could actively influence her last living moments or presence of her father at funeral yet she stayed silent and she didnt even try to console Ye Bin while she was breaking apart upon learning that Hye Na is dead. She only rarely showed ANY remorse in her actions. And when she showed remorse it was more over the consequences of her actions rather than the action itself. Seo Jin needs to be held accountable for her actions - be it by experiencing a fall from her high position or by other means.
jesus.. I never thought that Seo Jin (Ye Suh's mother) is a good person - she was always at best in the morally gray area for me - but i'm watching episode 15 and she is trully an awful human being... Just what the fuck.
Almost all adults in this drama are corrupted but it is getting too frustrating for me.
reading the synopsis and tags makes me really interested in this drama but considering how ... basically all BL dramas handle doubious themes makes me worried that this will be just a giant mess
seems like first half of 2019 is just not making it for me in the kdrama AND manga adaptations department... maybe the stories itself will surprise me but short synopses/trailers are not making me very excited. Once Korea lets go of one story trope i dislike, it finds a new one I dont care less about. I guess it is time for me to go through my endless PTW list this year, haha!
cute and enjoyable drama special about quirky main character but i dont really feel like watching the drama series. The main actress did a really great job though!
At first I was like 'wtf am I reading' and then this happened: " In those people, the mouth and brain are as disconnected as Bride of Habaek and entertainment."asdfgdsadf im literally choking here lmaoooo
That heavy makeup doesn't look good on Yoon Eun Hye... it adds around 10 years to her face. Natural looks better…
Totally! Also i am not sure if am just too used to her with short hairstyles or something but her long hair throws me off in additiont o her make up. Its like... the make up makes her old but the hairstyle tries to make her young or something and it leaves me in constant state of confusion lol
this drama really surprised me! At the begining I wasn't expecting it to be as good but in the end it did deliver a good story.
But am I the only one who is a little disappointed that Ae Rin never managed to use her skill as a computer science graduate? I was constantly waiting for her to unexpectedly flex with this ability but it never happened :'D
everytime i check this page i see the rating drop a little bit more. That's really sad considering main actors had really nice chemistry. I guess i'll going to pass on this season :(
But btw. can some of you brief me a little on why you are all so disappointed in this season? (some spoilers are okay but not all)
Is it really that big of a deal if a celebrity dates. Like they should stay single forever just because they're…
when it comes to (k-pop) idols it's even worse than with actors. Sometimes, "fans" go apeshit crazy when they find out their fave is dating and send hate to them/their significant others and companies really dislike it as single idols simply sell easier (eg. fans think idols are boyrfiend/girlfriend material → buy more of their stuff because they are their waifus/husbandos. when they are dating it just breaks this imaginary love or whatever). Last month or so people found out Hyuna and E'Dawn of Pentagon are dating and while many fans were quite supportive their company (Cube) forced Hyuna to leave the company and E'Dawn to leave his group. Also there was this case of AKB48 member shaving har hair as an apology because tabloids took a photo of her leaving an apartment of her boyfriend. Idol/fan culture is sometimes pretty extreme.
Is there any romance? Asking because people mostly mention how great the comedy is, but there is a romance tag…
the romance is theoretically there but not really? I am on episode 20 and so far, the main leads like each other but are not in any sort of intimate relationship. Ae Rin at the very begining loses her husband and Bon is still not over the woman he loved before. They feel affections towards each other (Bon really likes her children AND her) and they have some domestic life moments but the romance is not really the main focus of drama i would say.
so at what point (which episode) it is the best to drop the drama? i am kinda interested in watching a bit more…
thank you! I am not expecting that i will like it too much but i am still interested enough to watch several episodes lol. The prospect of watching "only" ~17 episodes makes it somehow more bearable :D
really wanted to like this bc of JiHyo but its sooooo boring. The drama started off alright but as it goes on,…
so at what point (which episode) it is the best to drop the drama? i am kinda interested in watching a bit more after the first 2 eps and dropping it at some point :D

Thank you for the article :)
This year's themes seem more diverse but somehow I dont really care for most of them... ISWAK adaptation looks actually really cute tho Q_Q
