In short, one coffin needed to be moved out for the entry of the person that recently died. The court became divided…
thank you for explaning again.

I was fairly sure, i got the gist, like 80%, right but halfway got confused between empresses and dowagers and well, all the rituals involved in entombing the royals...

I think he is his father
ohh you think, his father just colluded with the villain, and faked together their death?
or the father was rescued as well, and prepared ahead, for someone to rescue his son, and then use the son as a pawn for revenge?

ohh the possibilities are ENDLESS!
its exciting! poking in the wilderness!

I feel like the masked man is Yang Zhen. I’m probably wrong😰However I cannot determine if the mask man is…
same thoughts here! the masked man, which is all we can speculate at this point, could for all we know, is on the side of the enemy , and just rescued and raised and give Zang Hai the education , for their own purposes. Like use him for ... whatever. all speculation.

Title A Love Never Lost Spoiler
Rape.
i am still surprised , that china allows rape to be hinted , or depicted in dramas.

i mean, sure, murder, killing, revenge , and so on, all the stuff, that villains do, is ok. but rape hits different, somehow.

thanks for the warning.

Person Xiao Zhan
hey! i have a question: it seems like from an international POV audience ( I am from Germany) it looks like his newest drama ( Legend of Zang Hai) is generating quite a lot of buzz, on youtube as well as in all facebook c-dramas groups that I am member of.

but how is the anticipation in china itself?
i am asking coz from all the superficial negativity that I remember about his theater movie (Legends of the Condor Heroes: The Gallants ) a couple of months ago, I got the impression that some fans seemed to think, there was some kind of conspiracy against him, that there were entire plots funded to make his movie fail and so on.

( I am kind of an middle aged lady, nobody can force or make me watch anything that I don't want to watch, like this Ne Zha, that had a huge viewing numbers. I don't care, even if it has 2 billions watchers, its not my thing, ergo I am not watching or pirating that movie. ) I was lucky, thanks to Sony, the gallant was even released in German larger cities in theaters. for like 2 weeks. never in my life would I have wildest dreams or could have imagined to hear the OG soundtrack of condor heroes of TVB from the 80s, to play in a german theater!)

on the opening weekend, I got tickets for myself , and sat there, watching the gallant with roundabout 7 other watchers in the audience, who were all likely Chinese migrant workers in Germany.
we smiled at each other, even though we couldn't really talked to each other (my mandarin is non existent, and their cantonese is non existent, hahah )
but we had fun, and enjoyed it!

so, it seems like there were a LOT of haters or critiques of the movie and the actor in china.
is that true, now 3 month later?
and if its true, is there even a buzz about his newest drama in china?

i mean, like I said, since the official announcement this morning, news about Legend of Zang Hai have been all over my facebook feed, and its everywhere on my youtube feed.
but I am living in my own bubble, of course, the algorithm are only showing what I want to see.

it doesn't remotely look like there are haters against zhao zhan, and yet, the gallant seems to fail in china?!?

sure though, being critical is not the same as being a brainless hater, or a paid hater. ( so called water armies?)
I know the style of Tsui hark from the 80/90s, and he did really not changed much, the gallant did had a distinct nostalgic feeling.
something that I can see, why younger people might not like.
no immortals, no fairytale like beauties , the movie was not glamorous at all.
its kind of old fashioned storytelling about old fashioned values.
tribal feelings, familiar feelings, pietal feeling, touching stuff like patriotism and nationalism, and so on.
i had lots of feelings watching the gallant, and few of them had to do with whether or not xiao zhan was pretty, or who wins in the love triangle. (there was no love triangle, there was in my impression barely any romance. For me the movie was not about romantic love , I hope, they did not promote it that way in china...)
the movie made me think a lot. stuff like, for which side would I side with, if there ever were a war between Germany and china? one is the country of my ancestors, and the other the one, where I grew up, have friends, colleagues, teachers, the country where I owed my life in a first world country, with all the security that comes with it?
would I side with Germany or with China?

ähh long text , short:

is there a huge buzz in China about Legend of Zang Hai?
in all those Chinese places like weibo or whatever?

or is the buzz only within international Xiao Zhan fans audience?

it is a good place to stop after ep 22 actually! if you keep going to ep 23 you'll be left hanging. ep 22 works…
Thanks, I am at eps 7, so I will proceed with caution.

its a strange thing, perception , isnt it?the reviews are praising the chemistry between the leads, but i feel…
i watched the last episode to now the ending.

but alas, i just... the FL / SFL , or the ML / SML , they all do chemistry wise, nothing for me.

as you, i have enough short dramas on the shelf, that might be more interesting, since they have to condense the story, and not dragging things out.

Title Rebirth
Does anyone have any update abt when its airing cant wait!!!!^^
they just finished wrapping up this week, i doubt, it will be before autum / winter 2025.
at best , post production and then going through approval of the governmental office , for getting an airing license, wil also take some time.
so its me guessing, either end of the year, or next year.
