ahh right. those mini dramas, probably just came up, the last 5 - 6 years? like previously in the zero years, or the last decades, where no widespread of smartphones was there, they didnt make sense.
i wonder, if USA will ever make those kind of mini dramas! (or maybe they do, and i am just ignorant of them..)

i still wonder though, those with no rich background, and backers, at one point in their acting career, before they were a-listers or idols, didnt they have to go through such short length dramas as well?
i mean, i remember someone said, most of the actors /actresses also went to some acting schools, some obs. more prestigous or expensive or both, than others. so those with rich parents (nepo babies?) can afford those expensive schools easier, and they had the connections from their parents from the beginning.

but all those , who did not have that guanxi?
i would have thought, everyone has to start small, with entertainment shows, or games, and these short dramas. and then they have to work up the career ladder, or join like, companies who act like their agents, and those companies have the connections??

damn, just thinking how aweful exhausting that all must be, i am already tired ... good thing, i am just average looking, and never had dreams of stardom. (being introvert does the rest. I would die in front of cameras or audience)

the ML has an distinctive look. I hope, he will be able to secure himself in some full length drama, and can get the recognition.

i do wonder though, the current crop of stars/idols, such as ähhh well cheng yi, or dylan wang, or all those 4 guys in "lost you forever" that had their breakout last year, did they ever had to go through such short dramas?

I always thought, the american / US filming industry is brutal, in terms of how many people are romaing the streets of LA, and try to become famous (and then most of the women IDK look like scarlett johanssen or men trying to look like brad pitt or tom cruise ) and 99% never get above the porn industry. or B-Movies. or TV series that no one outside of US knows.

must be the twice or triple as hard in China, since they have over a billion citizens. so , even more people wanting to reach stardom and compete with each other?

(and i wonder about Bollywood. Is it in India the same, level of brutality in the shows and movie biz?)

usually i dont mind tragic endings, but starting in 2020, with covid, and subsequent the world gets bleaker and darker, and more crazy , with the situation in the third year in ukraine, with not knowing how Trump is going to lead the western world into prob armageddon , and the rest of the tyrants will crumble (not in a good way like syria...) `?

i am done with sad tragic endings in dramas, i am so done.
i want happy endings, anything else is not good for my mental space.

i guess i am at a stage, where it doesnt matter how "realistic " sad endings ware, i would rather take happy communistic propaganda, than seeing ficitional stories crumble, and turn into mass graves.

finally a more than good drama. its like the director and script writers looked into all those mediocre dramas the last 3 years, and decided, all that's gone wrong in the other drams (no matter the budget, or whether there were superstars in it or not) and said, fuck, we will do better and we will do the opposite.
LOL, more or less. No stupid endless dragging filler eps, or senseless side storyless that could be completely cut out , or a couple that is filled with thousand / millions of misunderstandings, and with evol villains easily spreading all sort of malicious lies and ripping them apart. and are successful in ripping them apart again and again and again.

also, not there yet, but I am also happy to see that others write here, that there is a long and extensive wedding.
unlike so many dramas, where we have been deprived of that.

(not that there are lots of dramas, I can stomach or endure to the en this year.
i can off the bat, just remember watching 4 long dramas till the end, without ff:
the double , war of faith, dashing youth and Joy of Life 2. )

i am confused, i went to rate the eps but there seems to be possible, to rate all eps, notwithstanding whether they are being aired or not?
how come, one is allowed to rate episodes, that are not even aired yet?

(btw, the ratings for the yet to be aired eps are really low. do those people have like--- the third eye, and can watch eps from the future???)

i think, in a spy drama, everyone (except maybe the ML) is suspect of being a douple or triple agent hahah. and sometimes, like in the fantasy wuxia drama, no person , who is being shot, falls of the cliff, or bridge, or mountain, or being buried six feet under, is ever really dead. fictional characters are like coakroaches. THEY WILL LIVE ON EARTH; EVN IF HUMANS has gone extinct...

i finally got a few hours to catch up!
the story keeps being engaging, even though I had like a 60 hrs work week, and I am so bone deep tired, I cannot fully appreciate all eps, but so far, my attention does not wane.

I am just feeling deeply uneasy about Hongqi, the elder brother. I guess it stems from the actor playing a crazy character in the other drama, War of Faith.
it keeps me suspicious of him.

yeah, life has been crazy, really, i sometimes wish, (shhht dont tell anyone) we were back in corona times, where everyone had to be at home , and secluded for health sakes.
at least, i had time to watch dramas.
with all and everyone and companies calling back to office, instead of remote work... i have like shit 30 dramas piling on my harddrive, and seen none.
fuck, i wish i could time travel back 25 years, to my university times. no money, but at least, time to watch dramas.

now i have job, have money, i have retirement plans and my own apartment and mortgage to pay off. fuck. no dramas.

everything is just negative or badly made and produced, to her.
i understand having or wanting high standards, but at the same time, how bored must she be, if she just continues to review everything negatively, that she feels being inferior (which is virtually in her opinion, 99% of all c-dramas?)

I haven't seen any US shows the last 4 or 5 years (well Star Trek Discovery being an exception). i cant see myself spending all my time, ranting how bad everything American has become though.
