well, entering the world of MDL comments section or sub forums, or generally speaking, entering the world of fandom, in whatever form, is always similar to entering jurassic world, or a novel of stephen king.

i am totally exhausted , mentally and otherwise, watching those 2 eps, the drained me from aall energy that work left me, so no chatting here today.

honestly i wasnt sure, if i dared to get my hopes up, after longest promise, but alas the gallants was great with xiao zhan, and here?
he nearly makes me forget all the other pretty actors from last year and this year.

honestly, there seems to be lots of rape in those 10 min dramas. its probably easier there to slip past the censors? no idea, but since i hav started watching those short mini dramas, i swear, i have never seen so much rape scenes.

i heard the drama is also on disney+, maybe if give that a try, if available to you?

you know, our life is really, REALLY short.
give it one or two more eps, if you really want to try, otherwise, there are literally millions of shows, waiting for you to discover and explore.

i am frequently download per month 10 dramas or more.
if after a few eps, it doesntclick, then it doesnt.

simply move on.
unless your job is being a paid professinal watcher for dramas, it makes no sense ot waste your time on things you dont enjoy.

I love this drama, its gorgeous, but it will not dethrone NIF in my heart.
that's completely ok, coz its still better than 99% of the other stuff that is currently floating around.

i doubt, in this century, I will get another drama as good as NIF. so this one, being second best so far , in the revenge plot, is already great!

damn,hell this drama is worh every euro and every dollar, I have spend and given youku!!!!
episode 5 and 6 were GORGEOUS, and the cliffhanger of ep 6, hahahah! it makes the anticipation so much better!
also my age is showing, I am looking at duke ping, the villain and think, woah, wait, that villain guy is really dashing and hot! haahha I am not drooling over the ML (sure, xiao zhan is great and has the hotness of youth, and I loved him since untamed, and he is the best gok ching since Felix Wong, but alas, .. where was I?? , anyway the overall story and the entire ensemble is what makes this drama from good , to great, not just a single person. )

i just downloaded the youko app, and paid them , thanks to the power and allure of this series!
i wish , there would be more political intrigue revenge stories like this, with romance secondary.
the FL isnt my cup of tea visually, but as long as the story is gorgeous, whoever plays her role, doesnt matter to me.

just keep the villains sharp and intelligent , and i am all good!

that would be marvellous IF i knew mandarin,. but sadly, no, my grandfathers were from south chinese, and i learned cantonese with them as child, watching dramas from Hongkong. there the dominant language ist cantonese.
its like less then 5% , that i my brain can somewhat translate from mandarin to cantonese.

that is why like most of the international audience, i rely on english subs.
(its like in Germany, there is one major German language (Hochdeutsch) and then the some of the 16 federal states, have their dialect.
i know hochdeutsch, but definitely would have a very hard time understanding Bavarian dialect. )

but i find that funny, that there are offical vietnamese subs.
considering how much that country (one of the countries, where my family is also from) is pirating c-dramas, i guess this is their form of hopefully gaining more paying customers.

i spend 3 hours watching this, instead of doing my taxes.

damn, i thought, with AI, stuff like this kind of tasks should get better, but even from mandarin to english, me with my subpar cantonese knowledge, can see, that they just did not translate some chinese metaphores and idioms correctly into english.
they just.. phrased it differently, more like normal language, sure its easier probably for the non-native -chinese to understand, but it feels for someone like me , a bit off. It feels funny, watching, reading the english subs, and at the same time, my brain also listens to the mandarin, and tries to parse, what it m eans in cantonese, and then bam, my eyes sees the english subs, and thinks, huh?? what went wrong, that is not what that character just said in that scene?!?

well, hopefully, the series is so great, that it will be an incentive for some watchers, to start learning mandarin.

i know for sure, 35 years ago, i started to really want to learn english properly, coz of my star wars and star trek addiction :D

i am in a small German c-drama facebook group, and quite some fans there.. are just not fluent in English, so they want to watch this, but without german subs, there is no way, I am able to promote this or write reviews.

not having a job ( i am older, and i think, no job is ever safe, but at least, i have more savings then the younger generations) , i understand, can push one into negativity.

but i still, i would think, if a jobless person wants escapism , or procrastination, wouldnt it be better, to look for postive things to do?

instead of scouring forums, and downvote stuff? it seems kind of illogical. but maybe if one is jobless and depressed, and miserable, thay want others to be miserable with them as well.
