"stiff and terrible acting continuously from thai bls " very strange, i have never seen any Thai BLs,…
I don't think they are similar, but mathematics or statisticallywise, I think, there must be great and mediocre dramas in any country that makes TV dramas. I mean, I am from Germany, they make atricious TV shows, but even here, sometimes, there are good and funny dramas 😅
"stiff and terrible acting continuously from thai bls " very strange, i have never seen any Thai BLs,…
"because it's an industry with many aspects like singing" but isnt it the same in c-ent industry? from what i have seen from the fringes, its seems like in china, most actors and actresses also sing besides acting?
and just as you say, Thai BL pop out everyday? china has wuxia and modern dramas popping out every day as well?
(and not all of them are amazing...some are just mediocre)
hmm so then its actually, Thai and C-Drama should be on the same level of either the masses of dramas should be mediocre, with a few really standing out...
there are only like 5 weeks left of this drama wtf am i going to do with my life when this is over 😫
hoping and praying that the gods have mercy on us, and let the chinese government release all the other BLs that have been buried and on the shelf for years?
Holy grail of BL series. Must comment again and again on the acting and chemistry of both the leads Oh my god,…
"stiff and terrible acting continuously from thai bls " very strange, i have never seen any Thai BLs, but i thought, since thailand does not have restrictions on BLs like china has, my assumption would have been, that their BLs are actually... great, or at least , good?
i am glad , its complete now, the first ep had me hooked!
i seem to not recognize anyone except the ML, but that's fine, coz its refreshing to once in a while, watching a drama , without any drama within the audience , LOL.
I don't love an age gap but she's nearing her mid 20s so I don't really care at all honestly. We should all be…
so the female stars are like , 15 yrs old, or what? coz 18 with 30 years old, is not that bad.
(looking at USA, and all that torture porn episodes in game of thrones, and the ages of the female stars there, and the male stars... or else, the hollywood tradition of Lolita esque movies, of well, young female stars, with way too old male stars. i mean, sure, what i do is probably whataboutism , but i feel 18 to 30 is less bad then 18 or 22 to 44 - 60 yrs old)
wow, how cool is that! body double! so like in the novel, he hires male sex workers, to do the deed for him?!?!…
wow, now you really make me curious of the novel! how cool, so his body double is his employee aka chief spy?? are they friends? cant wait to watch the first 3 eps...
is the novel..good? except for joy of life, i havent reay any translated chinese novel the last 5 years....
I don’t understand why people are bothered by the “harem” when it’s extremely obvious to why Shen Zaiye…
very true. like back then, they started at 15 /16 years? if you are nobility and have to secure bloodlines or connections? most of them were probably betrothed when they were born or something.
i mean, look at european royal families over the last 1000 years or so. damn hell, its probably been worse here, child marriages and inbreed issues...uff.
Huge spoiler below:If it helps anyone whose panties are in a twist about the ML having a wife and concubines already...😏If…
wow, how cool is that! body double! so like in the novel, he hires male sex workers, to do the deed for him?!?! ahhh lol, very funny idea! it would be bad, if all those women were not hired spies, but if its as you said, then well, the women are no victims but hopefully well...ähh paid pawns?)
either way, thanks for the info snippet from the novel!
yeah, i can confirm too, after watching the drama in FF modus. damn, the ML is actually fine, but even for a mini drama, its awful skript. sadly. thanks for confirming, so that i could go into it, warned.
i pretty much flummoxed by the few comments and the rating here.
is it because Huang Xiao Ming is too old to be an idol any longer ( I first watched him 2008 in "the bund", an excellent drama, better than the original from the 80s, with the back and now, still, HongKong superstar Chow Yun-fat ) ?? (on the other hand, Hu Ge is the same generation as him? Hu Ge is still considered a star, even though he barely makes and tv dramas anylonger - of course that doesn't matter, coz he probably has reached godhood level with Nirvana in Fire , and blossoms shanghai)
has his reputation fallen, coz of his divorce`?
the drama is actually quite good (from the first four 4 eps that I have seen), though I barely recognize anyone of the actors and actresses except him. the props, the suspense , his acting, its all good.
I didn't see any marketing for this either, strangely. (ok, or maybe not strange, coz I am only on youtube, and don't have tiktok, twitter or any other relevant social media) just stumbled upon this by coincidence
cant wait for it to completely finished. to binge.
not my cup of thing anymore, but i have peeked into a few eps, and haha this kind of reminds me of the 90s fantasy US and EU Shows, a mixture of x-files, relic hunter, young Indiana jones and so on! (ah my glorious teenage years in the 90s, where no internet and no streaming and certainly no c-dramas existed back then! only US show and the glorious golden age of HongKong tvb and atv dramas, plus a dash of taiwanese dramas)
Her parents are so odd, why would you want to erase your own child from existence and act like they were never…
i have not watched this drama, but came here to read through the comments, just to get an first impression what its about. i dont think, this drama will be anything for me, coz well, i am really too old (47yrs) to probaly be the intended target audience.
but to your question, whether the parents of the dead sister are odd: being from an half vietnamese half chinese myself, (though i was born and grew up in germany): i had uncles and aunts here, who did denounce their children , my cousins, when it turned out they were homosexual and came out . one of my male cousins went to USA 25 years, ago, to live there with his partner, to avoid shaming his parents and siblings. his parents, my aunt and her husband, rather never see the only son again, then accepting his gayness.
the shame culture in confucian families , is still stronger than any western liberal influence, no matter where in the world you are.
i dont know about modern china, or the china of the last 30 years , but i my guess would be, its not odd, for the parents act as they are, if the daughter was accused or made something, they considered deeply shameful.
as i said, i didnt watch this, but i dont know if its grief, or simply .. how some asian parents are. of course, it could be grief! )

how come you find them stiff and terrible?
i was hoping that the drama is found somewhere with eng subs, so thanks a lot for back then, doing the hard work !

It says it's unavailable in my region 😔

i hope they will keep the pace and there will be no stupid misunderstanding between the CP!
the revenge on that damn family in law, and the concubine, is so far very satiesfying!
