my best guess is, while some of us here, are bored with this dead ridden trope, there are still millions watchers out there, who stream or download these kind of dramas with these kind of plots. hence, they keep on producing (unless they do it, for moneylaundering reasons, which i neither can confirm or deny, since i know zero about professional laundering).
(its like the romantic harleqin cliche novels about english ladies and pirates and lords, that i read in my teenager years-- that was in the 90s. Those novels repeated the same trope a million times, and still, they had people buying them. Thus demand and offer market situation, i still see those softcover books in the bookstore or supermarket being sold)
after this drama, i am very sure, if i were a billionaire with billions at my disposal? i would give a damn shit about hunger or peace in the world, I would use all my money and power, to make the ones, who stopped the BL drama "immortality" (its the one with arthur chen, right?) to be aried? release that one! bribery, coercion , blackmail, whatever sending out assassins , threatening with ww3, I don't give a damn shit, I want to see him in Immortality!

but boy, that scene in the little pond, with FL and ML.... damn I adore everything about this drama, this is so far, the best ´drama of this year, superseding any other drama , I wont give a shit, if weibo is later giving this a 1 or 3 rating , my personal opinion matters more to me, then that of a billion Chinese or whatever reviewers and international ratings are saying, LOL.
