you have pretty diverse taste! I always see you around bl dramas, so I wonder about your faves! I wanna check…
Hi there. Yeah, looking at the list, I suppose my tastes are diverse. And evolving, too; I try to update this list from time to time as I discover new shows.
If you do watch any of them, I'd love to hear what you think.
(Sorry for the flurry of posts, but I keep finding fun shit about the leads on their profile pages.)
Watanabe Shu is the costar of "Himitsu no Nacchan," a feature film in which he plays a freaking DRAG QUEEN among other drag queens. Can you imagine this talented comedic actor in drag? 🤣😂😅 "Himitsu no Nacchan" is my next watch!
Just checked Saito Ryu's profile page: I'm in shock that he is TWENTY-TWO YEARS OLD! I totally bought him as being in his upper 20s, maybe even early 30s, which his character would have to be to have climbed so high in law enforcement already.
Wow...I'm even more impressed with his acting now that I know how young he is. However, by the end of 9/all through 10, his heart wasn't in the character; his emotions were artificial and thus forced-looking. Maybe he had an off day, and there wasn't time for reshoots.
Episode 10: Warning: Vague spoilers below: Damn...🥱 A disappointing, corny finale to an otherwise fun, refreshing watch with just enough angst to spice it up a bit, like cinnamon on rice pudding.
Lead MC are great actors, both comedic and dramatic.
But this last episode felt slapped together and looked like it was shot in a quick afternoon shoot as time ran out on the equipment rental. There are too many eye-rolling plot stupidities in ep 10 to bother trying to summarize. Worst of all, Saito Ryu as Shiono was just off in his acting, from the end of 9 all through 10. All the emotion was forced.
The Snake turning out to be some kind of low-level, gay Yakuza was...stupid. But the fight stunts in the finale were good; I thought Takoi was really getting the shit beaten out of him...but the wound makeup could have been a lot better. Speaking of which...it would have been nice of Shiono to get Takoi to a hospital rather than dragging him up to the roof for a lovers' chat.
Finally, from these two experienced, mature actors, I expected far better than a couple of stiff mannequin kisses.
In the end, this was headed toward a 9 or 9.5 rating from me until the end but ep 10 killed my thrill and I can't go above an 8/10. Lots of good laughs along the way, though.
the story is really cute so it's easy to overlook the kisses
I don't disagree, but don't you think that compared to older JP BLs and their mannequin kisses (my favorite type is when there is visible space between their lips. 🤣), this show's smooches are a significant improvement?
As per usual, very few MDLers are watching this unique and entertaining show. But I'm sure every Chinese weirdo BL melodrama with effeminate leads and bad dubbing currently airing has 58,392 viewers.
Episode 1: lol Barely tolerable, with Thai-levels of over-the-top, sinister music when someone eeeeevil is up to something. 😅 The shorter of the apparent MC is a pretty bad actor. However, then I saw Yoo Jin Seok, who's playing the coach, and all was forgiven. I get a kick out of him. He's a good actor I've seen in at least two other web series BLs. Maybe he can spice things up.

I'll share a link if I find it. 😊

Considering its limited budget especially, this is hilarious.
Lee Jae Sung, who had me howling in "Delivered," has already pulled a few LOLs out of me in ep 1.
He seems to be as rising BL star.
I look forward to more of this show.
It's begging for a follow-up, short sequel.

Seriously?
Had Lily Malice explained it thoroughly in her garbage article, as you just did, I wouldn't have had a single qualm about it.
BTW, there's at least one singer on the list, and singing is an art, too. 🤫
Oh well...they're cute, so I'll keep watching. 🤭

Team captain is a hottie.
