Hello, does anyone know if anything life-changing will happen to the guy? Or just same old same old till the end?…
I'm on ep. 4 now, but sure it happens! My best guess is that his childhood friends loves him and at some point, he notices that she is the best for him. But even if this doesn't happens, I'm 100% sure something really good happens to him

Hi all! Just finished subbing the whole series.https://www.d-addicts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=165904Lots…
I'm one of those who wrote negative comments, but whether it's the best or worst show, I really appreciate your hard work and timely release of the series. I just wish you'd have subbed "koi desu" as well:) Otsukaresama deshita!

I liked the first 5-6 episodes, but then things became more and more ridiculous. And the ending was the worst. Overall, you can find tragedy, comic, dark & psychological, light-heartedness, friendship, romance, a bit of nudity, crime & yakuza, youth, school, rebellion and many other things

I still don't get the "ideal family" part? am i missing something?oh well, maybe it will be explained in the next…
It basically means she wasn't in love with the guy, it was that she saw her as a reliable man, so can make a decent family with. And the fact that she says this now suggests that she still doesn't love him, so her heart is open to other possibilities.

I think what you say is about right except I don't think it was " her unconscious motives" I think she knew exactly…
Maybe you're right, but I feel the whole atmosphere of the drama and the characters are nicer than we can expect any vicious plan. In any case, I'm not sure about any of this, let's see!
On Only Just Married Nov 21, 2021
This is just a guess after ep. 4:
So Miharu married Asahi because she wanted to have a stable family, right? But maybe it's only her secondary motive, what she told herself, what she convinced herself with. However her deeper & primary reason was to be beside Shu forever. So she loved Shu but after some tries, she made sure that Shu didn't love her back. Then marrying his brother was her solution, so she can be close to Shu forever.
I didn't mean she had any vicious plan. This was all her unconscious motives.
If this is correct, now that she sees Shu with another woman, her marriage becomes more and more meaningless.
So this is my guessing, maybe over-thinking:)

is this worth starting? or should I just wait till it gets completed? FYI I'm a sucker for contract marriage tropes…
The setting is silly (how they start their contract marriage) and there are silly details as well, but it's so fun and cute! The FL really shines, and your Kentaro is there too, so yes, it's worth it!

Person Ohkura Koji
yes that's what I love about him
I first noticed him in Youkai Sharehouse (2018). And then his peculiar minimal role in Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi (2021). I've seen him in a couple of more dramas and movies, but these 2 stand out for me. What are your favorite?

'Hot mom' is about marriage for women to get 'support & stability'. Therefore, it's totally fine if you marry a man without any feelings for him, just because you think he's kind and supportive.

I'm not a big fan of this idea, but my problem with the series is not this. My problem is that I can't see the guy as a 'kind' person. He is pushy, using every opportunity -her drunkenness & pregnancy, her parents' wish to have a grandchild, ... just to have her and have a baby from her. So, in a really short & unstable time, she is cornered into making big decisions about her life. This is not good at all!

I just want to say for others' future reference, the reason the plot was confusing and had such weird dialogue…
Thanks but please note that there are 2 subtitles for it. One of them is definitely machine translation, the other by a fansubber. Distinguishing them is easy: in the beginning scene at school, one of them refer to the girls as 'him, he', the other as 'her, she'. And it's obvious which one is machine translation.
So now I'm wondering which one you've watched!

Yikes. Was looking forward to watching this...
Yeah, but it's not his biggest flaw. The whole relationship is about taking benefit of everything (her drunkedness, pregnancy, her parents' wish to have a grandchild, the abortion consent form that wants the father's consent as well, ...) to get a girl who rejected you 2 times, some years ago and just now. So for him, getting her is the only thing that really matters. I guess the drama wants to show a heartwarming romance, but I believe he deserves the worst kind of betrayal. Not that I'd like betrayal, but when you begin a relationship in such a lowly manner, you should expect the worst to come.

She was drunk, but it was her who started touching and sex. I'm not sure about the morality & consent issue here.
But overall, the relationship & how the pregnancy is treated is messed-up in my opinion.

I'm happy it ended there because, in ep. 12, she would definitely break up with him again!
More seriously, because she admitted her mistakes, we can hope she won't do that ridiculous behavior anymore.

Finished.Generously giving it a 6/10 on my scale, the ending was shit (the whole show was pointless, but it was…
I dropped this one after 2 episodes, but fortunately, there are lots of well-writtenJ-drama on family. Have you seen Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi (2021)? It's kind of the opposite: While there are many tear-jerking things about the story, the series avoids to show them. It's both full of good content and heart-warming.
