We need them back in another historical drama or a modern one, I simply want them back together on my screen 😭

Absolutely, if anything the producers and screenwriters could have done a better job to provide a better budget so more of the novel could have been produced in alignment (also with a few more episodes or simply 2 seasons back to back). Clearly they picked a novel that is VERY popular in China Mainland, they knew the potential of success, they also casted perfectly across the board and while it's a 10 for me, it's so rare to get this kind of IP, perfect casting from leads to supporting cast and simply miss out on the romance and climax of the story.

Pursuit of Jade will always be special and appreciated, we simply wanted a few more episodes with the side stories or a special episode to give us more wholesome moments between XW and CY.

As someone who hasn't read the web novel (yet) I can only imagine how novel readers feel about the battles. I almost felt "bad" for Wei Yan because the root of all of this seems to be the old emperor but it seems like Wei Yan long crossed the line of a grey character in the 17 years of corruption he put the people around him and the country through. I felt like we would have also felt more tension during the battles if the nephew/uncle relationship was explored more and this is largely on a screenwriters. I think ZLH and YYK did an amazing job with the screen time they were given as nephew/uncle.

I actually enjoyed the alternate ending but I also simply wanted more. I wish we got to see XW and CY's "first meeting" or how they fell in love in the alternate ending rather than the 3-5 minute discussion between XW and Wei Yan. I would loved to see the Grand Princess and Gongsun's wedding and XW and CY's babies 😭

I kept on hearing how comfortable ZLH was with TXW and now that you mentioned this, it makes sense. ZLH knew what was in front of him and it made the chemistry undeniable. New Life Begins has been on my watchlist, considering I already miss TXW and I like BJT, I'll take this as a sign that I should watch it soon 😆

I can't believe we're at the end of March and the last episode of Pursuit of Jade has been released. Seeing all the characters (past & present) in Lin'an village at the end brought me to tears. This drama has truly left a benchmark with the light it brought to all the characters. The fact that we all long different parts of the character and novel shows that A LOT was done right and that we simply wanted more time with the characters and in the universe of Pursuit of Jade.

Absolutely, I followed First Frost all the way from its manhua/novel days to its filming/release, it was such a special experience. I also remember ZLH being one of the actors melons were mentioning to be the ML in that drama. I saw that ZLH and ZRN had a stage performance a few months ago so I hope they're a CP in a future drama.

For ZLH, it looks like there is also a divide between his fandom and his genuine fans, is that true?

I finally finished watching POJ and I'm in 😭 I wish POJ had a manhua or donghua so we could visualize all the novel scenes more, did you ever read the novel for POJ? Honestly I want all the deleted scenes more than anything, I already miss ZLH and TXW as XW and CY 😭😭

I don't understand a lot of the celebrity drama either. I try to be optimistic that actors/actresses respectively will choose good scripts/characters and be good human beings because of the influence they carry. Do you watch Marcus here often?

I'm in the same boat as you! I've had a lot of my plate recently so I was pacing myself with 1 episode a day a few days after the drama released and I plan on catching up to the episodes Netflix released today and watch the last few episodes on the day they're released.

Take your time enjoying the episode and the drama. When I found myself tired from my day, forcing myself to stay awake for more than an episode or two, it was ruining my viewing experience especially with the comments and leaks.

Love Between Lines was really good, it got me into a slump and I think POJ was my first cdrama I watched after Love Between Lines so I'm feeling extra sad 😭😭 Have you watched First Frost yet? I would recommend that too!

I was considering watching another historical drama but I don't think that will be possible either. I loved Love Between Lines so I'm very curious what you think about it when you're done watching it!

Thank you for sharing this here. I honestly did not know ZLH was going through so much behind the scenes. Filming fighting scenes for 2 months and getting most of them cut is heartbreaking. Those scenes are usually hard and expensive to film, not mention really hard on the actor themselves.

I wish there was a way we could watch the deleted scenes to at least support the actors, they should create a separate package for that and better do right by the actor/actress.

I'm honestly really sad I missed out on seeing the BTS/reuters from the beginning. There is something really special about seeing the drama transform all the way from its announcement/casting days to filming to its ultimate release. Is there any place where I could see all these clips from the beginning?

I didn't know ZLH was going through so much throughout his dramas. But it makes sense now because I would get super excited seeing a reuter of a drama he would be filming and when it would release it seemed like his character wasn't handled well especially in dramas like The Princess Royal and Our Generation.

This is a very fair point. I really wish director's cut was a thing for cdramas. Especially in this case, I wish they could have made a package for deleted scenes or a director's cut version of this drama so we could see all the scenes that didn't make it to the final cut.

Was there more romance or scenes in the novel that you wish was adapted into the drama? I haven't read the novel so I would love to know about it

You should watch Story of Kunning Palace, I think it's one of ZLH's best roles and I think Bai Lu also has a pretty strong role in that drama as well.

This may be wishful thinking but I really wish ZLH and TXW would get casted together in another cdrama, preferably a historical one so we can experience something like this again but honestly modern would do too, anything with an excellent screenwriter/screenplay and director like this 😭
