I'm guessing the leads will be Moon Ga Young and Lee Jae Wook and Seon Ho will choose Mr. Hong instead.
Seon Ho did say that if he had the chance to work with someone again, he would take that opportunity. That being said, I thought him and SMA meant that his FL's were getting older/around his age range?
He really impressed me with his physicality in the role. I thought he was a weakling before this drama. He shows…
Agencies play a big part for sure, but its also up to the actor to turn down or once they reach a point to break free from that image.
As for KSH, his agency is def. pushing him up b/c they know he's at an age where other actors his age have been in the business for a long time.
Ironically speaking, in Korea, film stars are top/more regarded. Then it's Drama stars, then Hallyu stars, and Idols are bottom. I think while international fame is nice too, it's good to have domestic fans as well.
well it's flood of scripts I don't mind both are TvN dramas Lmao
Switch out LMK for KSH, and now were talking! Of course, who knows? I think so too, the writer of her other show helmed two amazing shows. Unless, she's doing 2 shows in 1 yr? Salt sucks lol. They haven't confirmed anything yet, & I feel like its like waiting in limbo for one of them to begin. Seon Ho is going to be 36 (Korea, so his age is 1 yr older lol) in a few months so tick tock indeed.
Island is described as a “man who needs a woman to end his cursed immortal life and a woman who doesn’t know about her sad and cruel fate.” Is it not giving anyone low-key Goblin vibes lol? I heard rumblings that tvN might take this show, since both OCN and tvN are under the same umbrella company wise. OCN+Romance has me shook in a good way!! It would be a waste of KNG+SYJ's potential chemistry!!! Give us the goods!!
well it's flood of scripts I don't mind both are TvN dramas Lmao
LJW is signed on to Vast. Hyun Bin's agency, and HB has serious pulling power/weight. It seems like SH was just a name they had in mind, but was never 100% on. A bummer, but eh it does seem like ?? with Link though. Esp. with KJW too. She's also part of SALT, so I would've thought SALT would've pushed/fought (package deal) and had SH too. I guess, we'll have to wait and see what happens in the next few months...
I hope this is a cheeky and charming role for him!! Hope this means more I-fans will get to know him!! Studio…
Some of the words they said to each other was whew. I still recount his scenes umm and imagine a big actor now doing a role like that starting out?
As for Portrait of Beauty, need to find a link for that to watch it! I heard Bad Guy had issues, but I saw a video of it, and he was smoldering in it!! But he def. has sizzling appeal ha!
well it's flood of scripts I don't mind both are TvN dramas Lmao
:O WHUT?? Lee Jae Wook? So Seon Ho is out?
Edit: What's up w/ the abrupt switch? Sigh :( Seems like tvN is un-sure of the ML/FL situation of Link? SALT better confirm soon. Also KSH to LJW in terms of age is a 12 yr difference. Seems for age range/actor, they went into a completely different direction?
I hope this is a cheeky and charming role for him!! Hope this means more I-fans will get to know him!! Studio…
Oh wow!! Did you check out his first film? He was a bit green there, but he did a great job. Never thought to see him in a role like that. But he was well hot as always lol. Speaking of in his films, he does a lot more umm scantily clad scenes lol. I was shocked tbh. But more respect to him! What of his works would you recommend?
Yes, his humble ness is what makes him unique in Korea's industry!! He rides a bike to work or did back in the day, and has his own NGO too. It's b/c he wants to help people, not for $$ purposes. Ah <3 <3 A bit of a bummer that he turned down some dramas during that time, as he would've been amazing/more I-fans would be aware of him. Ditto! Let's hope for the best <3

Yeah, dude isn't into fame/or being a big star despite his talents/looks/charm. But thankfully, he was able to get the Grand Prize for The Fiery Priest. Wish he could've gotten Best Actor at the Baeksangs too, but alas. You should watch Live Up to Your Name!! He's amazing/funny in this role, but also it's first rom-com too! He pulls it off so well, that I wish he did more rom-coms lol.
He's also a cool/great guy in rl too! Seems very giving and generous as a person. Yeah, I think he's been cast in heavier/darker roles, w/o realizing his comedic gold!! Yes, same to that last point! I shall say that Island is a Studio Dragon production which = Netflix. Plus, the budget for this is rumored to be big as well. I hope it does very well!!
I hope this is a cheeky and charming role for him!! Hope this means more I-fans will get to know him!! Studio…
Its b/c A) He's more in film land (more risk taking projects) B) Rarely does romance/rom-coms C) Got his big break, but had to go to the military soon after.
Had he done more rom-coms dramas like So Ji Sub (2013-onwards), he would've gotten more I-fans. Thankfully, he's well regarded in Korea for his talents esp. w/ The Fiery Priest. Silliness and sexiness is the key for him!
Netflix is producing this drama, so the promo there should be nice. It's coming out 2nd half of 2021, so I hope the 3 awesome leads confirm. Could be the next big smash hit. Good things come to those who wait!
I hope this is a cheeky and charming role for him!! Hope this means more I-fans will get to know him!! Studio Dragon=Netflix showing, so in terms of promo, it should be plentiful!! Gah, Seo Ye Ji as well is such an inspired and fun casting choice!
He really impressed me with his physicality in the role. I thought he was a weakling before this drama. He shows…
It's either his or his agency, but the choices an actor's makes are very important for their career. They would be a good/solid choice. Some actors go all in for their action roles, aka Kim Nam Gil (The Fiery Priest), dude went all out for the action that he injured himself in the process. Dedication!!
Netflix, Rom-com, Social Media Age, & Timing helped him. He's 35 , soon to be 36 in a few months (Korean age). Which is f'ing nuts to me!! Like he's almost 40, HUH!? So many of my favs, don't have the same International fervor that he has rn. Of course, it's temporary so let's see if he can sustain the hype.
This is one of the dramas that made me realize how beautiful she is. Also her character is so smart, cool, and…
Yeah, I dropped it b/c her character grated on me, and I was pushing for it b/c I was really into SJS then. Anyways, I hope she continues to thrive and pick good projects.
He really impressed me with his physicality in the role. I thought he was a weakling before this drama. He shows…
I'm not really into JCW, so I've no other opinion to offer on his roles but it does seem like he's lost! Esp. his last drama was def. had issues (racial stereotyping/appropriation/etc). But yes action roles are more strenuous on the body. It's why certain actors go to training schools so they can build their body up for those things. Yeah, I think him/his agency are choosing easy ways for him to gain more fame, then thinking about his path. It's a very competitive industry, so actors have to make wise choices as their choices affect their status in the industry.
As for KSH, while he now has more attention on him. I don't think he'll go down a similar route, as he still has yet to make a name for himself as a leading man yet. He's also indebted to theatre, so whichever direction he'll go, will surely be very interesting to see down the line. Not all actors want the spotlight/fame, but it would be nice for him to become a versatile leading man in the future!
He really impressed me with his physicality in the role. I thought he was a weakling before this drama. He shows…
He prob. is either lazy or doesn't want the hard part of working out/dieting/supplements that comes w/ action roles. Yeah, he's 33, its like the prime. Like lol? Yeah, he smokes too which doesn't help either. He seems lost in his career ngl.
Anyways for KSH, he would be wise to do more mature roles/projects that don't typecast him. In the future, once he does, he can make a name for himself. I think he'll do 1-2 romance roles/projects this yr or next yr, before doing the work that he wants to do.

Np! It happens to loads of actors. But of course, it takes them & their team, & someone to give them a chance to explore/widen their range beyond their 'image.' Lol, I feel JCW/LMH are 2 actors people always recite in this, but I understand why too. Well JCW said he doesn't want to do action b/c the toll it takes on his body.
Wouldn't want KSH to go down that path. One thing is those 2 guys made their names in their early/mid 20s vs. KSH in his 30s. On that front, KSH can't do the roles they did to establish their fandom/fame as he's approaching his late 30s soon, he'll have to differentiate himself as a mature leading man in a few yrs. It would be foolish to market him like that, when he's at a pivotal stage in his career where his choices could impact his direction.
Plus, his play roles are diff., so dude clearly is about the craft. Best to say, he won't go down their path, but who knows if SALT (His agency) will direct him towards. I hope as he said, he's not about fame/being famous, so I hope he still has this mentality. New stars come and go all the time, so the key is to keep pushing yourself. I hope KSH's career in 3-5 yrs goes down respected actor route than the Hallyu route!!
If you look at the work KSH chosen, its character based, and not centered on romance. Oh yeah, his role as HJP is iconic. It's a role that's cocky, smart, confident, mature, soft, witty, & cool So if he gets type-cast as that, I wouldn't hate it per say but of course he has the potential to do so much more. Dude was super sexy as HJP, esp. when he's saying technical terms, rawr!

Yes, I heard that! How nice, that he inspired someone to become an actor!!
Aww, no Shark? How was Portrait of a Beauty? I heard there's um lots of sex scenes/nudity lol?
I also heard Lovers Vanished is good too?
