FYI: He was offered Link during middle of Start Up, but his agency said he's too busy rn to review the script. That was back in Early Nov. Link is rumored for end of August, could get pushed back to Fall 2021. As of now, no word yet on Link since then.

As for KJW, she was never in contention or offered officially the FL in Link. It came from DC Inside, which also said Song Hye Kyo/Lee Jong Suk were pairing up when that wasn't true. So other than the team offering the ML to KSH, no word on the FL.

It's ironic you say that, b/c KSH in rl grew up in the slums/impoverished area in Korea. I was really proud of him, b/c he came from nothing, and working hard on his own to get to where he is now.

Forget to answer this! Depends. It's a win/win scenario for both FL/ML. But I would be lying if the ML ends up benefiting the most from the situation. In K-drama land, for big star making projects, romance is always the stepping stone b/c the fans you gain from it can follow you into your next step/provide a launching pad for your next work.Sometimes strong/quality scripts get buried if a no name/not popular actor/actress do it which sucks. Ultimately, it should be the quality of script/PD/right actors regardless of popularity to be a hit. But seldom feel like most part, K-dramas tend to recycle the same FL's/ML's over/over again. Which means less chance to make a new star, esp. now that K-dramas don't get made in the same amount as before/more competition/fresh faces pop up every yr now :O

That's true. Better late than never. But still, he's 35 now going to be 40 in 5 yrs. He has up to now and 2022 to capitalize and make a dent in K-drama land. It'll be a shame but also understand if the whole fame thing isn't for him.

He first has to land a show that's excellent/well written first that does well ratings wise. And then from then, pick another project that does well again. By then, he should be established as a drama lead?

HHJ doesn't do anything for me lol. But I digress. Let's be real, you're only as strong as your FL. So having a big name FL is vital for a show's success. KSH alone can't lead a show alone, unfortunately. His prior shows casted big name stars, and he became the highlight/scene stealer. The hardest part is leading a show on his own name.

Younger stars: Seo Ye Ji, Lee Se Young, Moon Chae Won, Park Eun Bin, Kim Go Eun, & Jung Eun Chae. Ngl, the younger stars rn sorta haven't gotten chance to shine big yet.

KSH is boyish looking. He can play someone normal, or someone wealthy depending on which. Ji Sung also has that similar vibe in that regards. His dimples are of course a bonus. His forehead was a thing of beauty. He looked manlier/hotter!

PMY aims to always look pretty, which is boring as an actress. But she does know how to bring on the steam when needed too. For rom-coms, no qualms about her! Yes, for the outfits, she always looks amazing. Nicely fitted outfits, and not matronly at all. Ha, yes KSH is a handsome man, but with the right hairstyle, outfits, and styling, he looks like a million bucks. Shame that his forehead up wasn't in a better show where he was the ML.

He's 34, so yes lol. He finished it in 2010, I believe. You've to serve by 28 now. HJP was far from a comedic role, so if he chooses something comedic, I think it would further pigeonhole him/have his 2d1n persona over lap more.

Gong Yoo works weren't released from 2013-2016. A Man And A Woman was filmed in November 2014 and ended on March 2015. And Train to Busan: Filming began April 26, 2015 and finished August 19, 2015. Goblin in Sep. 2016-Jan 2017. So our dude was super busy in 2015-16, but he said he would never do it again b/c he was hella exhausted. So he took a long hiatus for 2 yrs-3 yrs.

A lot of top Hallyu stars got their due in their early to mid 20s doing fluffy rom-coms/romance stuff. Before taking a break in their early 30s, seldom doing much work in that time. KSH is 34 going on 35 soon, like if he did the stuff that those Hallyu stars did in their 20s, it would be very awkward transition into his 40s.

IA. His next drama/work is very important. As it's going to stamp out his career going forward. It's hard ngl, who knows which project is going to hit it big in Korea? Some shows come out of left field like Stove League and surprise.
